Friendly and helpful staff, cleanliness throughout the hotel, excellent breakfast choices and very good facilities, especially indoor and outdoor pools, at the hotel and its linked neighbour hotel. We enjoyed our stay very much.

In a delightful location, Luccombe Manor was easy to find, overlooking some stunning cliff top scenery. There is a large car park, and we were warmly welcomed on our first day and shown to our lovely room. We had room 7, which was a “standard” room, south/west facing. It had a nice big window and although it looked out over a flat roof, you were able to see the sea. Comfortable bed, plenty of drawers and wardrobe space, and a nice sized shower room. Mini toiletries were provided, as were tea and coffee making facilities, including a regular supply of tasty biscuits. Breakfast was splendid spaced out in their conservatory and dining room. Buffet style for cereals, plentiful fruit, toast, pastries etc, and on order you could enjoy a delicious Full English (including vegetarian option) Evening meals could be taken at the next-door sister hotel, which were also lovely. We enjoyed a couple of lunches, which could be enjoyed anywhere in the grounds. Drinks could also be had anywhere (but plastic glasses were used by the pool areas) Everything was reasonably priced. We loved that there was lots of spaces to sit outside (and in) close to or away from others. The swimming pool was lovely, and you could use it at the sister hotel as well as their indoor pool and sauna. Pool towels were provided. At all times the staff were friendly and helpful and always wanted to chat. Very dog friendly but not nice if people allow their dogs to yap!

We stayed overnight with kids. Staff were amazing, so friendly, the room was super clean and spacious for a family. The whole building has such a charm! Our kids loved the heated pool, the gardens (they had a mini golf field, giant check game on the floor and a kids play area) and the local pub was walking distance. The walk to the beach was so beautiful through the chine! Oh we had such an amazing time!

Lovely hotel , great staff. Nice to see so many does there. Shame you couldn’t get down to beach from hotel anymore. Great food but a shame you have to go next door for dinner.

A dog loving hotel. We booked a sea view room which was fantastic, we stayed an extra night. The double bed was unfortunately two singles pushed together and the used dirty towels not refreshed the second day, just picked up and rehung. All the other facilities were great, dinner and take out are serviced from the hotel next door. I would recommend a visit to the retro gaming room in the other hotel next to the pool. The outdoor pools are not available until May. The path to the beach no longer exists but you do get a free weeks pass to Shanklin Chine next door which is a lovely walk down.

As a dog owner, we loved hiw dog friendly the hotel was. Lovely surroundings great staff, very clean, lovely swimming pool, the only downfall was the beds beside the pool were very hard, and we just couldn't sit on them for long, the beds in the grass area were comfortable. The rooms were very clean and spacious,.It was a great location, would definitely return

The hotel had published wrong info on the Expedia website. They don’t have a private beach and the beach is 15 mins away, not three minutes away. There was no room service and the restaurant is in the hotel next door and not within the property.

Great service (especially the breakfast!) and a very lovely and convenient location but paper thin walls and a miniscule shower. The handrails and bannisters were dirty and sticky. Cobwebs on interior of the windows show they had not been dusted for many months.

We enjoyed every moment of our stay. The room was satisfactory and clean. Everyone was very helpful and went out of their way to ensure we enjoyed our stay. The breakfasts were excellent and the staff very attentive. We will return next year.

Overall the property while seemingly appealing in photos, lacks any real charm. The rooms are terribly small. The amenities are bare & the restaurant makes you feel as though you are in a plush cafeteria It’s a mid air collision with the 1950s , right down to the rickety floors and bland coffee.

Nice location, lovely views but do not stay at this hotel if you don’t like dogs - they were everywhere, even in the dining area where they were being fed at the tables. Room walls were thin so a lot of noise from neighbouring rooms . Breakfast was good but hash browns seemed to be on ration.

We stayed for only two nights but found the room both comfortable and generally well equiped. It could do with a coat rack in the room lobby and the bathroom mirror though lit misted up so was unusable after the shower was used.

Lovely. Staff were exceptional. Polite kind and courteous. Room was great. Spacious and well appointed. The facilities in the hotel next door were marvellous. The indoor pool was just a haven of tropical tranquility. Breakfast beautifully presented.

Rooms very small for the price but clean. Staff are friendly to dogs but are a little churlish with their human guests. Good place if you are a dog owner, if not, somewhere else is probably better.

Thank you so much, had a beautiful time. Definitely will come back. Everybody was so accommodating the staff… the residents were lovely… The hotel also changed the ferry times. Accommodating our travels. Our Labrador went he had a beautiful time who is nearly 8 years old. The staff are so friendly towards Noah. Thank you so much once again for giving us a beautiful experience in Shanklin definitely will be back.X

Great value at the most dog friendly hotel I’ve ever stayed in!!!! Lovely hotel in great grounds with free parking, good food and a short walk to the charming Shanklin old village and beach. Very friendly reception staff and restaurant staff. Will definitely come again if we’re back on IOW.

We stayed overnight with kids. Staff were amazing, so friendly, the room was super clean and spacious for a family. The whole building has such a charm! Our kids loved the heated pool, the gardens (they had a mini golf field, giant check game on the floor and a kids play area) and the local pub was walking distance. The walk to the beach was so beautiful through the chine! Oh we had such an amazing time!

A dog loving hotel. We booked a sea view room which was fantastic, we stayed an extra night. The double bed was unfortunately two singles pushed together and the used dirty towels not refreshed the second day, just picked up and rehung. All the other facilities were great, dinner and take out are serviced from the hotel next door. I would recommend a visit to the retro gaming room in the other hotel next to the pool. The outdoor pools are not available until May. The path to the beach no longer exists but you do get a free weeks pass to Shanklin Chine next door which is a lovely walk down.

We had a great time as a family. The staffing was very kind and helpful. The location is beautiful, with convenient access to the beach via the Chine and there are lots of indoor and outdoor activities for the kids to do.

The hotel had published wrong info on the Expedia website. They don’t have a private beach and the beach is 15 mins away, not three minutes away. There was no room service and the restaurant is in the hotel next door and not within the property.

Nice location, lovely views but do not stay at this hotel if you don’t like dogs - they were everywhere, even in the dining area where they were being fed at the tables. Room walls were thin so a lot of noise from neighbouring rooms . Breakfast was good but hash browns seemed to be on ration.

Lovely hotel , great staff. Nice to see so many does there. Shame you couldn’t get down to beach from hotel anymore. Great food but a shame you have to go next door for dinner.

We enjoyed every moment of our stay. The room was satisfactory and clean. Everyone was very helpful and went out of their way to ensure we enjoyed our stay. The breakfasts were excellent and the staff very attentive. We will return next year.

Wonderful hotel, with very helpful and friendly team. Loved the facilities here. So much to do, and an ideal location. Thanks for pointing out the Chine to us! Glad we popped down to see it, and then up to the main village. Would absolutely stay here again 😍

What a beautiful hotel, perfect amenities, close to the beech, dog friendly, amassing live music and a family feel. Everyone was so lovely and we'll certainly be back. Ps, food was amazing too, of yeh, and the swimming pools....... basically if recommend you go see fit yourself. Thank you team, see you soon.

Overall a great hotel. The breakfasts are amazing, abundance of fresh fruit, cooked to order hot breakfast. It was hot while we were there, so having the pool was needed. It is very dog friendly as they say with a kitchen to prepare food and store. Your dog can come to breakfast as well. There are gardens just outside of the hotel, perfect for the early morning and late evening walk. The only downside was the heat. It was very hot and there is no air con. We were on the 2nd floor room 27, it was very hot. We brought our own fan with us so ended up using two fans, with one on the dog. I did feed back on the last day about this, it didn’t ruin our trip but I think it’s something they need to look at if we continue to have warmer weather. The island itself is dog friendly as well

When we first arrived at the hotel we were not greeted by the warmest welcome. The staff member at reception just stared at our luggage and before evening saying hello, refused to store it before check in as we were slightlly early. Would have been nicer to actually be received

Very well situated with great views across the coast. Staff were amazing. Rooms and bathrooms average with no air conditioning I asked to be moved due to the noise from adjacent rooms. Good breakfast and the dinner in their sister hotel next door, was excellent
