Rodeway Inn Bedford

I truthfully don’t even know where to start. When my husband and I first arrived with our two children, we couldn’t even find the receptionist to check in and get our key. After ringing the bell for about 10 minutes, someone who was already a guest there informed us that they were trying to get back into their rooms and unable to find the receptionist for a while as well. we then decided to take our children to the park nearby. The park was not very child friendly so then we quickly returned back to the hotel to try to check in again within 30 to 45 minutes. Upon arriving a second time, the reception desk was empty however, when we rang the bell after the second time, the man appeared. The breakfast area is not set up in a way that would be fulfilling. It is more a snack bar with Oreos, danishes and coffee. Thankfully Denny’s was right across the street. The bed was extremely hard and uncomfortable to sleep and the bathtu was not look clean properly despite the attendant, knowing that we had two children under 3 prior to arriving. Thankfully we only stayed a night because when we returned to our room after breakfast the key wasn't working. Then again when I stepped out to get ice after returning to the front desk and waiting for the attendant to return. I went to check out at 10:50 and was not helped until 11:05 after ringing the bell and calling for the attendant. Would not stay again unless traveling with my dog again. Thankfully, that pet fee was only $20 for the night.

The web site pictures were not current, and there was no bar/lounge as stated, Sadly, needed quite a bit TLC and window cleaning for first time appearance entering lobby. Room lamp shade broken, no face tissue, discolored ceiling stain, the breakfast area needs thorough cleaning, cold cereal, milk and granola bars for breakfast offering, no fruit or bread.

Room was clean, carpet seemed dirty that I would not want to walk around without shoes, bathroom had what seemed like not so clean towels. Air conditioner was working. The continental breakfast was not at all what I expected. There was no milk and other food items were not available even though it was still breakfast time. Room was smelling of cigarettes even though it was a non-smoking room. But I guess you get what you pay for. Will not stay there again.

The bar was not open on a Friday night and I was bit by a spider and a misquito on my arm and finger while sleeping. Itched for days. Place was dark & dreary

Best thing about it was the air conditioning. Room was sketchy, had to wait for awhile on staff for check in. Bar was closed, was a motel NOT a hotel.
