Holiday Inn Express Detroit-Birmingham by IHG

First room (208) was not cleaned. Sheets on bed had makeup on them and hair. Went downstairs and person moved us to unit 316. That room was wide open and not cleaned at all. We were then moved to unit 314. Disappointed that no discount was offer for the 2 times my group has to move belonging.

The room was exceptionally clean and the price was reasonable. Also, the breakfast was hot and the staff was very friendly and helpful.

This is a nice hotel located near downtown Birmingham. The room was quiet, the bed was very comfortable and the breakfast was excellent. We did not use the pool or workout room. Our only concern was that the room was superficially cleaned rather than really cleaned. There was an unsightly stain on the couch which though washed, appeared to be from a "bathroom accident" and the floor in the shower was dirty. Ours was a one night stay while visiting family and we were otherwise satisfied.
