This is an older property… lots of things are in disrepair… Breakfast is so limited it should not even be offered.. Go elsewhere for food! Lots of renovations are needed… Honestly I’m surprised the Local Board of Health is not involved in the violations here.. Many things are broken in bathrooms…It barely justifies the lower price… The only nice thing is the indoor pool which they won’t let you use unless you cough up $20 per day.. this is not clearly stated when you book online at all… There’s much better elsewhere!

Not the best in my particular room. Property is just very outdated and the “updates” seemed to be a tv and new caulking around half the bathroom. Everything else looks like 70’s or 80’s with appropriate wear and especially tear. Staff was GREAT! Breakfast was dismal at best with good coffee but there are terrible stains and rips in the carpet and upholstery. THE POOL IS UNDER MAINTENANCE AND IS CLOSED, just in case you want to know before you get there. Call first. Hoping to get a refund after paint chip fell on me and landscapers woke me up outside my window because it didn’t close all the way nor was there a handle to close it. Good luck!

This place was odd. Parking was across the street in a field. Check-in was in a basement with old carpet. After that it was ok. The room was large but outdated. No plugs near the bed to recharge devices. Breakfast was minimal.

The room seemed exceptionally clean. The building was old, and the carpet in the room was kind of old and creepy. The bed was comfortable, but couldnt find electrical outlet in bathroom. The parking garage was terrifying to park in. The spaces are all jammed in there. It took several tries for me to get my vehicle out without hitting anyone elses.

It has to be hands down one of the worst experiences, no hot water Friday night when we checked in, no hot water Saturday morning. Complained to the front desk, took over an hour to hear back from them after having to reach out to them 3 times. Then had to move rooms, delayed our plans we had scheduled made us an hour and a half late. Then found out when we got there that you have to pay an extra $20 to use the pool it’s not included in the price you pay for the hotel. Very dirty area for the breakfast. Staff was very rude and did not have good communication with us when we complained about the water.

The environment was extremely unclean, with visible stains throughout the rooms, from the floors to the couches. I arrived at 2 a.m. but checked out in the morning because the property was poorly maintained. I cannot recommend this hotel, and I strongly urge management to address these cleanliness issues immediately

Beds seemed clean and were comfortable. Otherwise this place is a pit. Grossest, filthiest breakfast area I’ve ever seen, with minimal food offerings and one small coffee urn that was empty the whole time I was there. Rooms are shabby with carpet all shredded in the corners, stray hairs on the table surface etc. Bathrooms are like being in a truck stop. Underground parking lot with few available spots and sketchy characters hanging out. At “only” $200 this was a bargain for the area (sad to say), but I’ve stayed at $70 highway motels that were better maintained. I guess if you’re having a big party and wanted to use the pool, this could be ok.

The entrance from the garage all the way to the first floor smelled like urine. The room was dirty, there was black gunk dried on the night stand, the tv had something smeared on it. The bathroom also seemed to be somewhat dirty. The hotel and rooms were dated but isn’t a reason why it should be dirty. People were banging on doors and yelling in the hallways after midnight. None of the floors are closed off so you can imagine the echo. I almost threw up walking past the lobby. Very filthy hotel overall. I messaged the hotel you would think they would have tried to make it better but no answer.

This hotel is in serious need of upgrades and cleaning. The walls in the room were dirty. The furniture in the room was dirty. The bed appeared to be clean enough to sleep in. The bathroom was pretty disgusting. There was hair in the shower from whoever stayed there previously. Paint chipping all over the place the curtains were filthy. I had to take the filter out out of the air conditioner and clean it and scrub it because it was so caked with black dust.

This was the worst place I’ve stayed in. I booked on Expedia as a pay at property so my fiancee and I could split the cost. I called them the night before and asked about split payment just to be sure. I was told they would call me back. Nothing. They ran my card before I even got there. I called them and explained that I was doing a pay at property split payment. They told me I would have to call Expedia because they could do nothing. I called Expedia, shocker, they said it was on the place I’m staying and they could fix it because it was still being processed. Fast forward, we get there. They act stupid and say they can’t do it because it’s been processed, even after I showed them the pay at property email and not to mention the lady who didn’t call me back said her shift ended. I’ve never had this issue at any place I’ve stayed. Fine, fast forward. 1st room… disgusting. Carpet was stained and sticky, we also wore our sandals and shoes around to prevent whatever diseases live in the carpet and stickiness. The chair, stained with unknown substance. The bathroom, holes in the shower wall. Room was freezing, heat didn’t work. Tried to call front desk, phone didn’t work. Had to call on my cell phone. Finally got someone up there, who also walked in and said it’s freezing in here. I was told in 30 minutes, they would check on me to switch rooms. Never called. I called them. I have so much more to say but I'm limited to numbers. I would never stay here again.

If I knew the room was going to be so dirty I would have never stayed there. The photos on Expedia were very deceiving. I didn’t even feel comfortable sleeping under the blankets and luckily I always travel with my own sheet and pillowcase. The first towel I grabbed was stained. The curtains were stained and ripped. I would never recommend anyone stay here even if your on a budget

Older hotel, but very clean and quiet. While the rooms and common areas are dated, the bed was comfortable and the shower had good water pressure. Parking is plentiful and convenient. Staff is firm about the 3 pm check in even if room is ready, so don’t show up early. I’d return if I needed an inexpensive home base for visiting the area. It’s not convenient for Boston proper but the surrounding towns are quaint and historic.

Overall the experience at the Beford Plaza was good. We needed to book a last minute reservation for one night without breaking the bank. The hotel does show some wear and age but seemed to be in fairly decent shape overall. Our room was clean, smelled pretty decent, and was quiet. The check-in service was quick and easy. The hotel seems to be located in a decent neighborhood where you can go for a walk to grab a bite to eat or shop without worrying and there seemed to be at least a few options around the area to choose from.

Old, peeling paint all over the room. Not updated in decades. The pool didn't work, and the only large window in the room looked out into the hallway and the pool area. Kept curtains, old and frayed, closed so people couldn't look in the room, which means the room was very dark and gloomy. The other small window looked out on McDonald's drive-through. It was first first-floor room, but the 2nd floor would have been similar except for the smaller window. The pool was in the middle of the hotel, and all the rooms were around it made around it so all rooms large window face the hallway/pool. The staff were lovely at check-in. Waved early check-in probably because we'd just come from a hospital visit. It's a good price, just know that it's nothing special, peeling paint everywhere, and has an old grammar school type toilet. I wasn't expecting much for the price but was still surprised how run down it was. Breakfast was meh. Not enough tongs for all the food, so it could be an issue with allergy/germ issues. Coffee was not good, or at least not strong enough for me. The Starbucks in the room was good, though.

Conveniently located to many stores and amenities, hotel leaves a lot to be desired. Pool was out of commission, room had a funny smell that never went away, breakfast was often picked over by 8am with no replenishment during the brief time it was offered. It was a unique cool space. You’ll see if you go. The rooms were clean and comfortable albeit slightly dated, the baths did not have grab rails and the tubs were a little slippery. If you are older, that might be a concern. I’d stay there again. For the price, it was perfectly fine.

Let's start from the beginning ---- do not think that you can check in early - they charge depending on how early you want to check in. The room was just ok - there were no electrical outlets on one side of the room to plug in and charge cell phone. There was only 1 lamp that had an outlet to charge a phone. The 4 outlets on the desk did not work and there were no USB ports to use either. Holes in the wall in the bathroom were not filled in, just left as is. Hotel definitely needs an upgrade. Forget breakfast if you are over 12 - there was only a cereal bar, waffles and yogurt. There was no protein in sight - no eggs, sausage, or bacon. There was no one at the desk when checking out even after waiting for more than 5 minutes so had to just drop the keys and leave. Only bright light of the stay was the underground parking so didn't need to step out in the rain. Pool was closed for maintenance even though no maintenance could be seen going on. Definitely not worth the $200+ posted nightly rate.

This was the worst place I’ve stayed in. I booked on Expedia as a pay at property so my fiancee and I could split the cost. I called them the night before and asked about split payment just to be sure. I was told they would call me back. Nothing. They ran my card before I even got there. I called them and explained that I was doing a pay at property split payment. They told me I would have to call Expedia because they could do nothing. I called Expedia, shocker, they said it was on the place I’m staying and they could fix it because it was still being processed. Fast forward, we get there. They act stupid and say they can’t do it because it’s been processed, even after I showed them the pay at property email and not to mention the lady who didn’t call me back said her shift ended. I’ve never had this issue at any place I’ve stayed. Fine, fast forward. 1st room… disgusting. Carpet was stained and sticky, we also wore our sandals and shoes around to prevent whatever diseases live in the carpet and stickiness. The chair, stained with unknown substance. The bathroom, holes in the shower wall. Room was freezing, heat didn’t work. Tried to call front desk, phone didn’t work. Had to call on my cell phone. Finally got someone up there, who also walked in and said it’s freezing in here. I was told in 30 minutes, they would check on me to switch rooms. Never called. I called them. I accidentally bought a room to this hotel because my car had broken down and it was the closest one. When I arrived and tried to check in I wasn’t allowed to because I was 18, nowhere did it say that you had to be 21 plus to check in, when I asked for a refund I was immediately declined and was met with very rude and unprofessional remarks. It is unbelievable that they are able to get away with this. Place was gross and very very sketchy, I don’t recommend going unless you want to get scammed. Give me my money back.

The hotel had no record of my reservation with Expedia and had no available rooms for me to use. There were at least 5 other people waiting at the checkin desk with the same issue. They had all made bookings through Expedia, hotels.com, or hotwire. All of them had "expedia confirmations" but none of us had a hotel confirmation number. Expedia needs to improve its process of actually ensuring the reservation gets confirmed through to the hotel before providing the consumer with the "confirmation" number.

Average hotel that could be a lot better with a little bit of work. Staff were nice and friendly. The carpet felt like it needed a clean and the chair had gross stains and should be simply be replaced. Also some newer sheets would be a good idea. Not the Hotels fault but when I turned the TV on the previous guest had turned the volume up to MAX!!! What clown does that!! At least there was no alarm clock set to 2am like another Hotel we stayed at.

I arrived at 11:30am while it was drizzling. The kady at the reception could not check me in since it was not yet time. Thats okay. I asked if i could leave my luggage at the premise as i find something to pass time as i wait checkin time. She refused. I had two large suitcases and two carry on bags. With no where to go was forced to sit just outsude the hotel in the drizzling rain with my luggage. After an hour i spotted a restaurant in the distance, i dragged my luggage there. I was already wet and cold. There was plenty of space in the hotel lobby where i could leave my luggage and walk freely to find something to do as i wait for check in time. But she didnt care... i cannor recommend anyone there. Disappointed!!

Another exceptional stay at our home away from home! The night shift worker, Ricardo as always was kind, helpful and makes me feel at ease knowing he's keeping the hotel running and safe all night. Tara the manager is a breath of fresh air with her welcoming smile, great conversations at the front desk while checking in and out and always right there to ensure everything is running smoothly. Gina has been so thoughtful, patient and helpful anytime we've run into issues in and out of the hotel. All of the staff are wonderful and with the extended stay we've recently had to take this hotel has truly felt like coming home!

Check in, room, check out, were all smooth as usual. This hotel is perfectly located for. our visits to the Church of Jesus Christ of latter-day Saints temple in Belmont. I do find the heating system a bit difficult to manage sometimes, but it was a warm night, so everything was fine.

Grossest, filthiest breakfast area I’ve ever seen, with minimal food offerings and one small coffee urn that was empty the whole time I was there. Rooms are shabby with carpet all shredded in the corners, stray hairs on the table surface etc. Bathrooms are like being in a truck stop. Underground parking lot with few available spots and sketchy characters hanging out. At “only” $200 this was a bargain for the area (sad to say), but I’ve stayed at $70 highway motels that were better maintained. I guess if you’re having a big party and wanted to use the pool, this could be ok.

Older hotel, but very clean and quiet. While the rooms and common areas are dated, the bed was comfortable and the shower had good water pressure. Parking is plentiful and convenient. Staff is firm about the 3 pm check in even if room is ready, so don’t show up early. I’d return if I needed an inexpensive home base for visiting the area. It’s not convenient for Boston proper but the surrounding towns are quaint and historic.

The hotel seems to be located in a decent neighborhood where you can go for a walk to grab a bite to eat or shop without worrying and there seemed to be at least a few options around the area to choose from.

Overall, the entire facility appeared to be in process of shutting dow. Really dirty, stained capets, pool shut down. Breakfast minimal with worst coffee ever, like sludge.

The property is very out dated, did not have enough towels in our room and had to track down the custodial staff to get more towels. TV did not work. Pool not in use. To start with the positive—the staff. They were as helpful as they were able to be. The structure is very old and I feel for the cleaning staff. It would be near impossible to get it to a level of acceptable cleanliness. The carpets were filthy, there was mold all along the bottom of the shower curtain, the curtains were tattered and did not close sufficiently to create a dark room, there was garbage behind the refrigerator and under the furniture, and I am fairly certain the sheets on the second bed were not clean. The breakfast room was unkept and not sufficiently cleaned during the breakfast time nor before/after breakfast was served.
To start with the positive—the staff. They were as helpful as they were able to be. The structure is very old and I feel for the cleaning staff. It would be near impossible to get it to a level of acceptable cleanliness. The carpets were filthy, there was mold all along the bottom of the shower curtain, the curtains were tattered and did not close sufficiently to create a dark room, there was garbage behind the refrigerator and under the furniture, and I am fairly certain the sheets on the second bed were not clean. The breakfast room was unkept and not sufficiently cleaned during the breakfast time nor before/after breakfast was served.
