Bedford Plaza Hotel - Boston

Parking is across the street or under in basement and you’re charged for it. Everything was relatively clean. The hotel hasn’t been kept up with as far as updating. I did notice this morning when I got up the sheet had popped off the corner while I slept and the mattress had had a couple drops of old (you can tell it had been washed) but blood on it. Not mine lol That was kind of gross. The breakfast was waffles and muffins nothing crazy. It was a decent cheap room but we won’t be back.

We stayed because it was less expensive due to being further out from Boston. But we were hit with an aroma that I suspect was marijuana. My wife didn’t feel comfortable in the location. The room was dingy and outdated. We had planned to stay six nights but left after the first night.

Breakfast was a farce. No milk for cold cereal. No hot water for tea. The waffle maker was a mess with gobbs of waffle not fully cooked and all over the counter. On Saturday morning there was two young boys that really made a mess of it and had no idea what they were doing. People were wasting disposable bowls and cups. One middle aged couple had 10 cups on their table. Very disappointing. We sat there for over 30 minutes looking for someone to come in and make things right. It didn't happen.

Staff were super nice/attentive/helpful. Room was large, clean, bed was amazingly comfortable. But the place is shabby/kind of a dump. Thermostat in my room was not actually connected to anything. Shades in the bathroom were missing large pieces. Rug was stained & ripped. Definitely gave “rent by the hour motel” vibes. It was adequate for my 2 nights, but I wouldn’t stay again.
