The historical house really made it a special stay. The staff both at the hotel and the bar/grill were friendly, and shared great stories of the home. Durham is a fantastic town with great history that the Durham Historical Association, which is just down from the hotel proudly displays. I will definitely return.

The property is an older one with creaks and rustic decor, fun for a wedding with nice grounds and patio and plenty of parking. The walls are thin and you can hear people in the other room. But it is also so quaint and rustic. So depending on what you are looking for, this was a great cozy place to stay.

The Inn interior is exemplary, but the exterior on the less visible sides needs a lot of work. Our room also deserves 5 stars. We would certainly stay there again!

The Inn was quaint and has beautiful grounds and a delicious continental breakfast including a waffle station. But, the room had extremely squeaky floor boards and the walls were paper thin. I heard every word of guests next door including the snoring! We stayed in the Carriage House for one night.

That the buildings are from the 17th and 18th centuries is nice and they’ve done well with them. It’s very small, so has a small staff. Breakfast bar was nice, would’ve preferred full breakfast in the restaurant. Daily needs were provided but no maid service. Dinner in restaurant was really good.

The front desk went above & beyond! Wonderful service. Floors in room were sticky. It did take more than 15 minutes to get hot water, but it’s old plumbing I’m sure. It did finally arrive. Our waitress for dinner was excellent as well. Breakfast was ok.

The breakfast is not what I would have expected from an Inn. Self serve. Rooms and bathroom are small. Its located next to a cemetery. Staff not super friendly or helpful. Stayed at 3 Inn’s during our 7 day trip around the area. We felt the other two were more in line with our desires.

The main building has rooms attached to it so it gets loud when guests slam the front doors. The ladies at the front desk were wonderful but the gentleman was rude and unwelcoming. The breakfast selection was fantastic! That said, I wouldn’t stay there again…

After driving for nearly 6 hours, We arrived very late, as the kitchen was closing. The staff was so accommodating they asked the kitchen to stay open for us. The food and service was great! The property is beautiful and so close to UNH.

We had such an enjoyable experience staying at Three Chimneys Inn. It was nice to be able to walk around the area, going to a restaurant and walking by the river to learn the history of the area. The staff was very friendly as well.

This is a sweet inn. We stayed in the carriage house part and had a fairly large room. Breakfast was delivered to our room at 8:00am which consisted of hard boiled eggs, yogurt with granola, muffins, cheese, and and orange. It also came with orange juice and there was a keurig machine in the room. Staff was very pleasant and the bed was comfy.

Beautiful spot. And such a lovely room! Great little walking path through a pretty garden and down a path to river. Breakfast had a little bit for everyone - thoughtful setup! But the shower situation seems dangerous: ice cold or burning hot. (It is an old, historical building- I get it, but…). When you finally get it kind of normal, the pipes start to shake and there is a loud sound. Bed could also use a comfy pillow top. But, if you like a firm mattress, then it works. Wish we could come back - it really is a pretty setting - but not unless the shower issue was resolved. Nice staff.

Three Chimney’s is a wonderful place to stay. Super comfortable beds & good breakfast. Great restaurant on site as well! Very nice staff!

Inn was very well maintained as one of the oldest hotels in NewEngland. The Inn has it's charm with haunted happenings. The restaurant has amazing food. I would recommend the chicken.
