The choices for dinner are very limited - it’s mostly the Jefferson and the Audubon. The food choices are quite pricey, e.g., $75 for Filet Mignon. Soups and salad side dishes are mostly $16-$21. The activity choices are many, which is important. The warm springs are very soothing and relaxing. Overall, a good vacation.

We loved our recent stay at The Homestead! During our stay my husband played golf twice, I enjoyed the pool and spa, we both loved the rocking chairs on the porch and evening fires. The resort is gorgeous and staff warm and inviting. We had all meals on site and the food was delicious! A luxurious and delightful stay.

Hotel is beautiful. The pools are amazing. We paid for a day pass to the spa pools and it was worth it. The mineral springs were so relaxing and the aqua therapy room was too! The only negative comment would be that there were never pool towels when we went and it wasn’t that early

This is a wonderful property. Very well kept and maintained. Very beautiful. My husband and I went there for our anniversary and it was great. Recommend booking the spa before you get there because we couldn’t get any reservations even though we were there for three days. Also it was a bummer that not all activities were available even though they are listed on the activities pamphlet they text you before you arrive. Also sadly the outdoor hot tub was broken.

Woodys restaurant was closed. Indoor pool was closed. Most of the games in the arcade were broken. They didn’t play the scheduled movies because they said they were locked in someone’s office. Ice machines were not working.

Property was lovely. Staff were gracious and attentive. I didn’t like having only valet parking at a cost of $30 per day. I also felt that the day pass cost for using the spa facilities was excessive. The spa was nice but not worth more than $90 per day. The breakfast buffet was very good.

Unfortunately everything is under construction so we missed the indoor pool (we were aware of this and the outside construction only) and exercise room. The casual main dining room building was also closed. The outdoor pool closed at 6pm even though it didn’t have a life guard and the sun wasn’t down until 8 - this was the main draw for us. It did open at 9am the next day and was awesome - just wish they could have made it more available while other options are closed. In the arcade all bowling lanes were broken and there were only a few games. Parking was not part of the resort fee - that was almost the same as the resort fee. We walked across the street to town for dinner which was great - Bacova. The room and beds were small for our 5 (three teens). We only spent one night just to check it out and feel like we greatly overpaid for a disappointing experience.

I love staying at an Omni resort. The property was absolutely beautiful in the outside and inside. Until you get onto the rickety elevators. They only had 2 elevators and 1 broke while I was there so you had to wait forever. Upon arrival I waited in the check in line behind other people. When they approached the desk they were asked “checking in”. When I approached the front I was asked “do you need something” with a sideways glance. Didn’t see many people of color there. Then they ran out of champagne when I was checking in was told to come back later. Spent the first hour or so waiting in my room for my bag ri be delivered. That took over an hour. The manager delivered it and gave me a speal about being short staffed. Still not okay for the price I was paying. But I felt bad so I tipped him anyway. Came back later for my glass of champagne but they were out of glasses now. Shut down the mini golf Course at 4pm on a Saturday. Promised the pool with the slides and lazy river was gonna open day after day. It never did. The bar/restaurant by the main pool was never open. Had to walk across the lawn to get drinks or food. Did axe throwing and archery. The hotel never came to pick us up to take us back and the radios were down so we had to wait for the instructor to walk down and get a vehic Thought it was very underwhelming for an Omni property. The Jefferson’s restaurant was absolutely great as well as their staff. The spa pool was great as well. Spent most of my time there.

We had a great time, really enjoyed the spa and hot springs, and the free evening movies in the theater with free beverages and popcorn/snacks. Also other activities, like the shooting club. Only drawbacks are the resort’s isolation (few other restaurant options nearby outside of the resort as all major cities are at least an hour away), and the food options at the resort were fairly mediocre, at least during our stay (only one of the four resort restaurants/cafes that we tried had good food, and one restaurant was closed, as we stayed at the resort during the low season).

The property is beautiful and historic. The environs are lovely and well worth the effort to get there. We also really enjoyed the food. Some of the staff members were excellent, but for the price we expected excellent service across the board — and that’s not what we found. Some of the staff members were overtly unpleasant and seemed bothered by our presence. In addition, our room had a broken window, a non-functioning coffee maker and mildew in the shower. I do want to commend the staff at the American Audubon Dining Room on the evening of July 29. The service was excellent and the meal was delicious. We appreciated the gracious attention to our large group.

The Omni Homestead is a beautiful and historic facility. The pricing on everything is a bit over the top, especially with what you pay to stay there. The food could have been better but property is beautiful. Rooms were clean and comfortable. We enjoyed a nice family trip and our grandchildren had plenty to do.

Such a beautiful hotel! The grounds and the pool are so well maintained. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The lobby and porch have plenty of places to sit and hang out. Drinks and food are very expensive though. A kids pina colada was $14 by the pool and it was a very small glass! We would definitely come back!

I enjoyed the activities and dinning experience in the resort. The Warm Spring pool experience was amazing. The food was great. All the staff are super nice. The only complain I have is my room. The heat unit was very loud, and it keeps going on and off, making it very difficult to fall asleep, and would wake up multiple times by the noise even after falling asleep. Our room was right next to the elevator which making it worse. There were a lot of ladybugs on the windows, I am talking about over 50 of them total in 3 windows total. For $500 a night, I am expecting better than this. Besides the room, everything else was amazing. But not getting a good sleep took all the bonus points off for me.

We went Tues-Friday and it was VERY empty... gave us "The Shinning" vibes. By Friday it was getting busier for the weekend, which was nice. The spa was expensive and half of it was not working. The hot springs pool had a lot of algae and we didn't go in. The pool and hot tub were nice. The massage was okay. The day use spa is supposed to include a warm room (nice) warming chairs (ok), cold room (was broken), steam room (broken; only was 80 degrees). It was dated and kind of gross. It's an historic building, so probably should give it the benefit of the doubt, but it seemed too large to manage and constant repairs/broken areas. Pet peeve, but not a major issue is that valet parking is required ($35/day) and the car is 5 minutes away, so every time we left felt like a hassle even thought we are in the middle of nowhere. Staff was very friendly and helpful, which was lovely.

Very historical property. Everything to do is on property. The town is very small and not worth talking about. The restaurants on property are good but quite expensive. Our room smelled musty but not too bad. The SPA is okay and expensive for what you get. I'm glad we went but for me it's a "one and done".

Overall, a lovely place with a few things missing the mark. Spa was fabulous hot pools amazing! The wine bar/tastings were great fun. The beds had seen better days—caved in in the middle by appearance before even sleeping. Switched to a new room; sinks had never been cleaned. The staff was kind called housekeeping right away. Overall, a lovely place with a few things missing the mark. Spa was fabulous hot pools amazing! The wine bar/tastings were great fun. The beds had seen better days—caved in in the middle by appearance before even sleeping. Switched to a new room; sinks had never been cleaned. The staff was kind called housekeeping right away. AC vibration noise from another room awful. Elevator somewhat undependable and dirty. Bed was wonderful. Need a towel bar in sink area & flush handle came loose in commode-hand tightened now.

When we arrived we were greeted graciously by the valet. (Best thing about the trip!) I registered for 2 queen beds w/a view. We got 2 doubles w/a view of a dumpster. Dead bugs on the window sill and windows so dirty we could barely see out of them. I had to request tissues bc we there were none in the room. Then I called again because we were out of toilet paper. I proceeded to take a shower and discovered that there was no shampoo in the bathroom either! The next day we discovered that refrigerator was not working because we had put some leftovers in it and it was warm so we had to throw them out. My daughters went to get a manicure and the heat was out in the spa. So one of my daughter’s nails wouldn’t dry and the other one’s nails started peeling the next day (gel nail polish usually lasts 2 weeks) not worth the $244 I paid!!! So they offered to pay for our trip to the hot spring pools,(a $90 credit) but I got charged for it anyway! After telling management all of the problems, they still did NOTHING!!!!! I DON’T recommend this place unless you enjoy spending A LOT of money and letting a company like Omni taking advantage of you and steal your money!

Christmas trees were beautiful and old beautiful surroundings!! Everyone nice and friendly! We were in the tower-great views, but took the hot water forever to warm up and barely lasted for two showers!!

No a fan of the historical section. Only had old, scary service elevator to get to room Ended up climbing 3 flights of stairs. Give me light and bright not old and dark. Front desk staff were great. Enjoyed stay just hoped for better accommodations

I enjoyed the activities and dinning experience in the resort. The Warm Spring pool experience was amazing. The food was great. All the staff are super nice. The only complain I have is my room. The heat unit was very loud, and it keeps going on and off, making it very difficult to fall asleep, and would wake up multiple times by the noise even after falling asleep. Our room was right next to the elevator which making it worse. There were a lot of ladybugs on the windows, I am talking about over 50 of them total in 3 windows total. For $500 a night, I am expecting better than this. Besides the room, everything else was amazing. But not getting a good sleep took all the bonus points off for me.

The Omni Homestead is the perfect location for a quick ski getaway. Overall we enjoyed our stay, however there were a few kinks with service, that could stand to be ironed out. The wait staff in the Jefferson Taproom was not the most attentive. On two occassions we had to wait for sometone to come and take our order and even bring waters. We also had a hiccup with the conceirge when inquiring about ski options. The manager did finally contact us and was very helpful and accommodating. Again, our overall stay was great. They could also stand to update the bathrooms. They are very dated.

We loved our recent stay at The Homestead! During our stay my husband played golf twice, I enjoyed the pool and spa, we both loved the rocking chairs on the porch and evening fires. The resort is gorgeous and staff warm and inviting. We had all meals on site and the food was delicious! A luxurious and delightful stay.

The service at Woody’s restaurant was horrible. We were told the wait would be ten minutes( it turned out to be 45minutes.) We waited at the bar which the temperature of the room had to be 50 or less. They keep saying they were understaffed but if they were so so unstaffed, they should’ve NOT opened the restaurant. The food was delicious but not worth wasting an hour and an half before getting it.

The grounds and buildings were spectacular as was the spa. Elegant environment. Food was good, although service was very slow at times. Seemed understaffed as food, and requests took forever at times. For example, it took hours for an additional blanket to show up after repeated calls to the front desk. When we attempted to order room service we got voice mail over and over again. There was a lot of construction and hence some things were unavailable. A lot of things in our room didn’t it work. The Homestead never disappoints. However this time they were understaffed in many areas therefore making communication difficult, service at restaurants, checkout/bellman availability, valet very backed up. Going this was just a busy weekend for them and not a regular reality.

I love staying at an Omni resort. The property was absolutely beautiful in the outside and inside. Until you get onto the rickety elevators. They only had 2 elevators and 1 broke while I was there so you had to wait forever. Upon arrival I waited in the check in line behind other people. When they approached the desk they were asked “checking in”. When I approached the front I was asked “do you need something” with a sideways glance. Didn’t see many people of color there. Then they ran out of champagne when I was checking in was told to come back later. Spent the first hour or so waiting in my room for my bag ri be delivered. That took over an hour. The manager delivered it and gave me a speal about being short staffed. Still not okay for the price I was paying. But I felt bad so I tipped him anyway. Came back later for my glass of champagne but they were out of glasses now. Shut down the mini golf Course at 4pm on a Saturday. Promised the pool with the slides and lazy river was gonna open day after day. It never did. The bar/restaurant by the main pool was never open. Had to walk across the lawn to get drinks or food. Did axe throwing and archery. The hotel never came to pick us up to take us back and the radios were down so we had to wait for the instructor to walk down and get a vehic Thought it was very underwhelming for an Omni property. The property is beautiful and historic. The environs are lovely and well worth the effort to get there. We also really enjoyed the food. Some of the staff members were excellent, but for the price we expected excellent service across the board — and that’s not what we found. Some of the staff members were overtly unpleasant and seemed bothered by our presence. In addition, our room had a broken window, a non-functioning coffee maker and mildew in the shower. I do want to commend the staff at the American Audubon Dining Room on the evening of July 29. The service was excellent and the meal was delicious. We appreciated the gracious attention to our large group.

The property has been beautifully updated without modifying the historical attributes. The porch is a wonderful place for enjoying the beautiful view of the mountains, reading or having a lovely moment of relaxation. The fire-heaters on the tables are extremely cozy and a nice touch.

The Omni Homestead Resort is an outstanding remote location that has great service and comfort. It is tucked away in Hot Springs, VA and is majestic during the Winter Holiday Season. Food is expensive but lodging is very reasonable.

Amazing property. Modern Omni resort with a strong historical connection. Where else can you enjoy the same hot springs that George Washington and Thomas Jefferson swam in. Very high class being America’s “first resort”. Had a blast! FYI if you do book, make sure you also book out your activities at least a month out in advance otherwise you will miss out on a lot of high-end/fun activities and experiences; since people all over the world come to this isolated resort in the beautiful mountains of Virginia

Very historical property. Everything to do is on property. The town is very small and not worth talking about. The restaurants on property are good but quite expensive. Our room smelled musty but not too bad. The SPA is okay and expensive for what you get. I'm glad we went but for me it's a "one and done".

We had a great time, really enjoyed the spa and hot springs, and the free evening movies in the theater with free beverages and popcorn/snacks. Also other activities, like the shooting club. Only drawbacks are the resort’s isolation (few other restaurant options nearby outside of the resort as all major cities are at least an hour away), and the food options at the resort were fairly mediocre, at least during our stay (only one of the four resort restaurants/cafes that we tried had good food, and one restaurant was closed, as we stayed at the resort during the low season).

The choices for dinner are very limited - it’s mostly the Jefferson and the Audubon. The food choices are quite pricey, e.g., $75 for Filet Mignon. Soups and salad side dishes are mostly $16-$21. The activity choices are many, which is important. The warm springs are very soothing and relaxing. Overall, a good vacation.

This destination was so perfect we have already booked again and added 2 days to the next trip. The golf was relaxing, the food in every restaurant was excellent (including room service which came within 20 minutes). When we played The Cascades our clubs were there, delivered by hotel.

The Omni Homestead is a beautiful and historic facility. The pricing on everything is a bit over the top, especially with what you pay to stay there. The food could have been better but property is beautiful. Rooms were clean and comfortable. We enjoyed a nice family trip and our grandchildren had plenty to do.

The hotel and amenities are beautiful however the food at the restaurants is awful - we had a $115 ribeye medium rare that came out gray. All other restaurants are just as bad
The hotel and amenities are beautiful however the food at the restaurants is awful - we had a $115 ribeye medium rare that came out gray. All other restaurants are just as bad

Property was lovely. Staff were gracious and attentive. I didn’t like having only valet parking at a cost of $30 per day. I also felt that the day pass cost for using the spa facilities was excessive. The spa was nice but not worth more than $90 per day. The breakfast buffet was very good.

It was a wonderful visit with excellent food and service. The ground are beautiful. We enjoyed miniature golf, croquet, and views and brews ride.

We had a great time, really enjoyed the spa and hot springs, and the free evening movies in the theater with free beverages and popcorn/snacks. Also other activities, like the shooting club. Only drawbacks are the resort’s isolation (few other restaurant options nearby outside of the resort as all major cities are at least an hour away), and the food options at the resort were fairly mediocre, at least during our stay (only one of the four resort restaurants/cafes that we tried had good food, and one restaurant was closed, as we stayed at the resort during the low season).

Property was cleaned and well maintained, golf driving range was nice. There were no amenities available to book, the pool was over crowded and the entire tower was down to 1 elevator. Overall, a good experience but would suggest a non-holiday weekend to visit.

The resort is nice and in a beautiful area. It was jammed with children. The only place in the entire resort we could find that was an adults only area is the pool near the spa which requires a $75 day pass to use. The resort also has a program to opt out of housekeeping and they will donate food to feed a family of four in the local area. Great program and we opted out. Their instructions said to text if you needed additional items such as fresh towels or coffee. We tried to get fresh towels and coffee twice. No towels. No coffee. Disappointing.

We had a wonderful stay at the Omni Homestead! The resort is beautiful and has so much to offer for families. The lazy river was definitely a favorite for the kids, and the water slides made it even more fun. The staff throughout the resort were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and helpful, which really made our stay enjoyable. We also loved the historic charm of the property and the beautiful surroundings. There are plenty of activities to keep everyone entertained, but it’s also a great place to simply slow down and relax. Overall, we had a great family getaway!
