Comfort Inn Hammond

The hotel is under construction which is understandable, however the hotel is listed as having an indoor pool which was the main reason for booking here, and I was told it closes for the winter months that it ms to costly to heat the pool. Someone needs to update this listing

I booked here because it says they have a pool. When i got there the pool is under construction. I asked for a refund but was refused. I never checked in

We stay here each spring break because of the indoor pool for the kids. This year it was “closed for the season”

Good hotel for a weekend trip, good breakfast and there is an indoor pool.

They have a gym but no treadmill.

Facility is getting very run down. AC/Heater couldn’t be cut off. It was very loud. No ice. Host said they only had one ice machine for the entire hotel. We booked two nights. I had to ask for the room to be cleaned while we were out, and for fresh towels. When we came in from our outing, the door cards would not work. I had to go back down the elevator to the desk to get the door cards recoded. Then they wanted to charge my credit card again. I had to tell them that I had already paid for two nights! We have stayed at this hotel several years for this annual trip that my husband and I take. We probably won’t stay here in the future.

Hotel is old and in much need of upgrades. Bathtub scratched up and wallpaper coming lose, bed hard and very uncomfortable, didn’t get one night of good sleep. Fitness Center should be closed, on 4 pieces of equipment which is broken and outdated.

Front desk people were incredibly nice and the room was clean. The breakfast isn’t anything special but on par with most other hotels that offer a free breakfast. Ice machine on my floor (2) didn’t work.

Will never stay at a comfort inn again, black mold in bathroom, switch rooms and the same. Cockroachrs in the breakfast area.

This was a family trip. The front desk host was really friendly during check in. That's where the good ended. The entire building is dated and has a coating of dirt and grime, inside and out. Our room was DEFINITELY not cleaned properly prior to check in. There was a frozen and busted 40oz beer in our fridge, food all around the carpet, a coating of dust on all the appliances and fixtures, and I even found someone's personal massager by the bed. GROSS. There was also strands of hair in our beds. The sink had toothpaste spray on it, and when I wiped everything down with a Lysol wipe, it came back super brown. The only upside was that I didn't find any bugs in the room. There is a poor seal around the doors, so if your neighbors are smoking (which isn't allowed), you smell it in your room. We decided to just deal with the dirty surroundings during our stay by staying out as much as possible and only coming back to the room to shower and sleep. We didn't trust the housekeeping to come in and actually clean, seeing as how the room has only had a basic cleaning who knows how many times. The beds were also super hard with springs poking us, the curtains had holes all in them, the "creepy" chair had a layer of dirt on it, and the TV had chunks taken out of the base. Yes we have photos and are willing to provide them to management at request. Can't post all of them here because of the nature of the items left in our room. We were not happy with this stay and won't be returning.

Super friendly staff and the room was nice and clean

I have no idea how this hotel has an 8.0 rating. The hotel itself is extremely in need of renovations and it felt grimy. There is staining throughout the entire room and pubes on the shower walls. Right after checking in we went up to our room and unlocked the door to find that somebody was already in the room. The young man at the front desk was the only saving grace for this location because he handled the room mixup well.

Hotel had a foul smell, room was very dirty, it’s has a lot of wear and tear not worth the nightly rate!

The staff members we encountered were friendly and the place was fairly clean, but badly in need of repair. The ceiling in our bathroom had been patched multiple times, there was visible mold in the A/C unit vents, there was an old, rusted vent in the bathroom wall, the overhead light in the bathroom did not work, and the shower head appeared to have been original to the building. The breakfast did have quite a few options - typical of a free hotel breakfast. The area was right off the interstate and felt a little sketchy, but the parking lot was well-lit. We were in town for a baseball tournament and were only staying for one night, but I don’t believe I’d stay here with my children again.

Clean room, comfortable bed with linens so fresh they looked new, spotless bathroom! Breakfast was hot and fresh with biscuits, sausage gravy, eggs and bacon. A waffle iron and batter were available with your choice of blueberry or plain waffle mix. Fresh fruit, bagels, cereal and oatmeal were also offered. Juice, coffee, water and hot chocolate were the drink selections. The hotel is located close to shopping and good dining options.

The lady who checked me in was awesome - so friendly and welcoming! The property overall was not very clean and shows a lot of wear. My room was "clean enough" but not nearly as clean as most hotels I stay in. I was only there for one night & had a late check-in & early check-out or I would have left in search of another, cleaner property. The location is very convenient and again, the staff was wonderful, so hopefully they will update & clean this hotel better in the futute

Mold on the walls. Carpet was damp. The smell was awful. Very musky. Tub was disgusting. Big dark gray rings in the tub and the toilets.

Very friendly staff. We were met at front desk as a late check in and couldn’t ask for a better experience from front desk. All staff throughout our 2 night stay were very friendly. Room was cleaned and bed very comfortable. Older furniture in room but did not matter. The coffee maker did not work with the outlet it was in but a quick move took care of that issue. Bed was very comfortable and room was spacious. Will definitely stay here again.

We got a non smoking room but you could still smell faint cigarette smoke. The AC unit by the window did not cool all that well and the fan wasn’t that powerful. And the shower water stunk and the pressure from the actual shower head wasn’t that strong,

The room needs a desperate redo, bed was miserable, hard , pillows were way too soft, bathroom needs a definite improvement/ renovation. My bag of snacks was taken out of the room, it was not trash, it was in a bag on the desk, several bags of pretzel snacks and a box with chocolate chip cookies.

The air conditioner in 318 worked but was damaged. Tv damaged but worked. Appeared very dated and needed remodeling. Dark hsllways

Rooms need to be updated the lamps and curtains were dingy and rusted out the toilets are loud when flushed. Walls and ceiling need to be sealed especially in the shower. The air conditioner unit was old vents missing ,carpet dirty. Staff were Great!! They too need better housekeeping carts, and equipment. Invest in your property and staff. Customers will pay to be in an updated, clean and comfortable room.

Great hotel, terrible pillows but still able to sleep well

Our room was so full of moisture. Mold was visible on the ceiling, and inside cabinets. The floor was sweating through the carpet. There was surface rust on the metal drawer handles. Service was excellent, however the air moisture conditions were terrible.

The lady that checked us in was very accommodating. We arrived quiet late, but she was pleasantly helpful, with a great wit and attitude. When you are road weary with 2 grandchildren, an upbeat friendly reception sets you on a different course. She should be commended for the job she does.

I loved staying here, definitely worth the money and boy that bed was nice!!! Breakfast was nice, typical for a hotel, my partner didn’t like his eggs too wonderfully but he’s picky. I would just say it may need a fresh coat of paint in places, the floors could probably stand to be redone, all the snacks in their vending machine were expired, the ice machines are from like 1970, there was only one poor girl at the desk having to check all of us in on a Saturday, I got there first and there was a line out the door, then the rest of my group got there. Please be patient with the one woman they will have working because it’s the companies duty not theirs to have more staff when the hotel is close to sold out.

The staff were amazing! Reception was awesome, room service was friendly and did a great job. Breakfast staff was awesome as well. This was a lower price than other places, so it was a little older, but that's fine with us. The staff attitude and how well they did their jobs was more important. The breakfast was decent and the place was generally clean. The area was nice with a cracker barrel across the street and a gas station and grocery store nearby. We would stay here again.

It was very clean, for an older property. The hotel across the parking lot had contract workers with noisy large vehicles. Location easy access to interstate, and chain restaurants.

Property okay. Clean. People Nice. Nothing can be done differently as it is place to sleep, eat breakfast and move on. Not a destination location

This area was not for me. I booked because it was comfort inn but ohh the location felt unsafe. Building needs some work for sure.

Staff was very very nice which made the stay bearable. It's just an older place that needs a little more TLC than it has been given. Also, the Coffee machine was malfunctioning. Sooo, Even though breakfast was included I had to get in my car and drive somewhere to get coffee. That was disappointing.

Loved it! We had evacuated our home due to a fumigation issue and had to stay nearby. This place was convenient and comfortable. Thank God the breakfast food was complimentary and it was delicious!

Hotel is being renovated, which is badly needed but when the hallway is covered in plastic and dust that floor should be closed. Breakfast was not good- even the hash browns ( I think that’s what they were) were microwaved. Pretty yucky .

The room floors felt wet and the air was moist. The floors were moist and sometimes slippery. The only way we could reduce this was to turn the air conditioning on very cold. The free breakfast is still good, but they no longer have fresh fruit.

The staff was extremely helpful and the rooms were clean. However, the condition of the property itself needs to be maintained better. The design of the shower in the single rooms are are awful. Taking into consideration the location is in a small town and choices are limited, it was mediocrre for a short stay .Breakfast was provided but subpar. Was thrilled a Cracker Barrel was across the street.
