Bastion Hotel Schiphol Hoofddorp

We stayed for four nights. The reason we chose this hotel is they offered a free shuttle to and from the airport. When traveling, your time is most important because you cannot get it back. The employees at this hotel and at their sister hotel do not understand the importance of not wasting the customer's time. The shuttle was never on time. We always had to wait. Once we waited over an hour at the sister hotel for the shuttle to come pick us up. After the shuttle arrived, the driver was very upset with us that he was going to have to take us to the sister hotel. This occurred during the day and normal working hours, not at night. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. The keys to the rooms did not open the doors. A lot of customers had to return to the front desk to have their keys redone so they would open their door. the staff never apologized or took responsibility for the error; Some of them even laughed and blamed the mistake on another staff member. All the staff I encountered acted as if I had all the time in the world to spare and that I was there to appease them instead of them appeasing me. They tried to reflect their errors and mistakes onto me. When an error occurred and it was often and not just with me but with others as well, the staff would say it was the customer's fault. The staff acted as if the customer could go behind the counter and correct the staff's mistakes. DON'T BOOK THIS HOTEL. IT IS NOT A GOOD HOTEL .

Wir hattenneinen wubdervollen Aufenthalt als Familie. Due mitarbeiter waren sehr fewundlich und hilfsbereit. Das zimmer war perfekt ausgestattet. Der shuttlebus fähet direkt zum flughafen. Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder!

Apesar de ser claro de que é um hotel próximo ao aeroporto, mesmo para quem precisa só de uma diária para ir ao aeroporto não compensa , pois é bastante complicado o transfer com eles, ficamos mais de 2 horas na parada A9 como falam na instrução pós reserva e nada de chegar o transfer. Atendimento horrível , pessoas extremamente grossas . Banheiro sujo com crosta de sujeira . Não há elevador , e mesmo sendo apenas um lance de escada , se estiver com malas irá ser bastante complicado acessar o quarto .

The bathroom door is translucent so you can see everything that the person inside is doing - no privacy at all! This is the same at every Bastion Hotel. There was a nespresso machine but only 2 capsules provided. Airport shuttle was very unreliable. We waited 45 min (9:00-9:45am) for the shuttle to turn up. Good size car park. It was an ok stay.

Hotel is decent. However the shuttle service was annoying. On the website they said theres a free shuttle service, but you will need to get off at a bestwestern and transfer to this hotel. Nothing said about reserving. The time table shows around 15mins. We take the first shuttle and get off to transfer, we are waiting about 30 mins, the second shuttle still doesnt show. We go into the best western to ask them. Front desk says she doesnt know might be 30’mins to an hour ( we are only 5 mins away from the hotel..) she says the driver doesnt know. She told another guest that the driver is stubborn so no one knows…. We ended up taken an uber because the whole thing was a waste of time. At the hotel its written you have to make a reservation for the shuttle for the next morning. We ask if this is direct or another transfer situation. He says all the morning shuttles are direct. But it was not. Make sure you call ahead if you want to take the shuttle when you arrive to Amsterdam even thought their website says it continues to run all day/night.

Belle chambre, au rez-de-chaussée avec vue sur gazon. Le personnel est serviable et aimable. Les équipements sont bien. Un petit incident le jour de mon arrivée à Schipol, la navette gratuite décrite par l'hôtel (van orange de Bastion) était en panne, ils ont remplacé par un gros bus blanc et l'hotel n'était pas bien informé. J'ai donc raté 2 navettes et mis 1h à arriver à l'hôtel.

Personeel is vriendelijk. Kamer met tv en wifi, klein maar ruim genoeg voor een overnachting. Kamer en badkamer zijn schoon. Bedden zijn comfortabel, matrassen niet te hard, niet te zacht. Wel haar/ douche middel maar geen zeep om je handen te wassen. (Was er tijdelijk niet werd aangegeven.) Prijs voor ontbijt is wat ons betreft te veel maar het ontbijt was wel divers en van goede kwaliteit. Parkeren is ook goed.

What we did NOT like is, there is NO elevator !

The hotel was a bit hard to find because the driveway is kind of hidden behind bushes. The hotel is relatively modern, has 2 levels and has a great restaurant and bar attached. The breakfast buffet is amazing and worth the extra money. Check in was fast and easy and the room was on the ground floor as I requested. The bed was very comfortable. You have to insert your key into a receptacle to turn the power on in the room.

Perfekt läge för oss då vi besökte vänner i närområdet. Gott om parkeringsplatser som dessutom är gratis. Bra rum och sköna sängar. Mycket bra och trevlig personal.

Staff is friendly. Room are dirty. Dust everywhere, floors are dirty. Dinner is expensive the meet is not cooked.

We didn’t have the baby bed in the room as requested, it was only 1 towel in the room (had booked for 2 adult and 1 baby), when we finally got the baby bed it was so dirty and nasty and without a sheet…of course a good price for a night stay before our flight but come on a dirty baby bed…not ok!

The check in was flawless. The staff member was friendly. The room was spotless.

Barhroom was dirty. The safe didn't work.

Easy check in, responsive staff, handy location. Sometimes hard to sleep at night due to noise from other patrons. Hotel has a bar which is open till 1am, so you get guests noisily heading to their rooms late at night, also the fire doors in the corridor close very noisily.

Das Hotel ist extrem teuer. Die Zimmer sind klein und veraltet. Das Waschbecken ist eine absolute Fehlkonstrucktion. Normale Zähne putzen oder Gesichtwaschen ist fast unmöglich. Insgesamt sind die Zimmer dunkel. Nicht alle Beleuchtung funktionieren. Das Hotel wird hauptsächlich von ausländische Bauarbeiter PL,RO, LT usw benutzt. Das Hotel hat eine Obergeschoss. Die Preise für Übernachtung fur Standard Zimmer sind unverhältnismäßig hoch. Das Hotel ist ca. 2.3 km von Stadtmitte Hofddrop entfernt. Einzig positive sind die kostenlose Parkplätze. Einen Parkplatz findet man immer. Das ist dann auch alles. Service Expedia ist schlecht. Wir haben Zimmer mit Doppelbett gebucht, haben jedoch Einzelbett bekommen. Das Hotel, Lobby und Rezeption ist um die Jahre gekommen und brauch dringend neuer Glanz. Es wird aber nur kassiert, Das Hotel hat daher nur eine Stern verdient

Overall had a good stay. Airconditioning was welcome adition to the room but unfortunately noisy. Also a lot of noisy ppl at midnight in the corridors. They also smash the doors which creates a lot of noise. The room was clean and the beds were comfy. The channel list on the tv need an update and i was unable to put the ligt out in the bathroom since there was no switch. Also that was the only light and it was not a very bright one.

The shower was way too small If you dropped your soap you coundnt bend down to pick it up

Frühstück gut, der Rest leider nicht gut. Zimmer zu klein und das Badezimmer ist Katastrophal. Höchstens für eine Nacht, mehr aber auch nicht.

Staff atencioso, quarto confortável - cama e aquecimento. Porem o suporte do chuveiro estava quebrado, caindo algumas vezes durante o banho. O secador de cabelo também estava com defeito, mas nos forneceram outro.

The staff on duty was helpful with everything. The room was so tiny, the hotel is located in a dark corner, almost solitary.

This is a good place to stay. Beds are soft and confortables. Staff is nice and helpful. Restaurant is good but expensive.

Arriving about 7 PM, I waited for the receptionist for more than 12 minutes and I went to look for her. The room is small and bathroom is too tight.

Super vriendelijk personeel, shuttle bus geregeld naar het vliegveld kosteloos, schone kamer , groot scherm,

Ontvangst door receptioniste slecht. Ze bleef doorzeuren over legitimatie en dacht niet mee in oplossingen. Geen warm welkom, geen lachje, geen aardig woordje

Das Hotel war insgesamt in Ordnung. Besonders positiv hervorzuheben sind das Frühstücksbuffet und das freundliche, aufmerksame Personal im Frühstücksbereich – definitiv das Highlight unseres Aufenthalts. Weniger überzeugend war die Zimmerreinigung während unserer drei Übernachtungen, die leider nur mittelmäßig ausfiel. Möglicherweise liegt das auch an der recht dunklen Beleuchtung im Zimmer – teils war sie defekt, was eine gründliche Reinigung zusätzlich erschwert. Die Nespresso-Maschine im Zimmer ist zwar ein nettes Extra, war in unserem Fall jedoch stark verkalkt und daher nicht nutzbar. Hier wäre eine regelmäßige Wartung wünschenswert. Positiv zu erwähnen sind die zahlreichen Parkplätze mit Wallboxen sowie die gute Verkehrsanbindung. Der Empfang wirkte stellenweise überfordert, was den Check-in und -out unnötig verzögerte. Vielleicht wäre es hilfreich, wenn sich das Management ein aktuelles Bild vom Zustand des Hauses macht. Insgesamt mit Abstrichen okay, aber mit mehr Liebe zum Detail wäre deutlich mehr drin.

The corridor dirty had not been vacuumed. Tried to have dinner in restaurant, they did not communicate that they did not receive food order, the service was shocking. Waited long time to even get a drink, eventually managed to place our food order, told no potato or chips, we then agreed on salad replacement. After about 1 & half hours managed to get our chicken wings started which was over cooked and dry. Waited so long for our mains only to eventually after 3 hours in restaurant be told they have no food on main menu only soup. Have just never experienced anything so poor, Words cannot describe the horror experience. After 4 hours in restaurant managed to only have 3 dried chicken wings & bowl of soup with roll. If they communicated from the start they did not have food we could have gone somewhere else at 18.00, but 22.00 too late as had no transport to try get somewhere else to get food. Service and communication was shocking. Worst hotel experience ever, unfortunately cannot recommend them to anyone

L’hôtel est bien en général ainsi que l’accueil mais le restaurant laisse à désirer. Le choix de la carte n’est pas fameux mais ce que nous avons vécu et ne pas seulement nous mais aussi deux couples Français sont plaints du service très très lent beaucoup de confusion ds les plats et boissons etc. Le personnel (2 dames) étaient plus intéressées par un petit groupe de monsieurs que par les clients. Elles riaient au bar au lieu de servir les clients dans le restaurant. Quand l’une des deux est venue desservir elle m’a demandé si tout était en ordre. J’ai répondu pas trop et que ça a duré longtemps. Nous avons commandé les dessert et nous avons attendu 30 minutes sur lequel nous sommes partis en avertissant que ils pouvaient annuler les desserts. Les Français ont également attendu longtemps et sur le moment q’ils allaient partir elle a amené les desserts mais pas ce que les gens avaient demandé. En plus elle avait le culot de se moquer de nous en toute politesse, en Anglais car elle ne parlait ni Français ni Néerlandais. Je crois que l’hôtel devrait investir dans du personnel plus performant. Nous de notre côté on va voir ailleurs. J’espère que vous allez en tenir note.

The hotel offers excellent value for money and is conveniently located near Amsterdam South and Haarlem. The staff is friendly and welcoming, although room servicing could be improved in terms of consistency. The hotel is within walking distance of a beautiful nature park featuring two lakes.

Not good for couples as they only do single beds also right next to a fire station. About an hour transport to central

Need a car or shuttle service to reach this place. Simple, quiet and clean. Perfect for sleeping. Bedsheets are not tucked into the mattress and move so if you move the sheets come loose.

Tolles Hotel aber ein weiter weg um in die Stadt zukommen sonst kann ich mich nicht beschweren

Erg goed bereikbaar in rustige omgeving. Vlak bij de grotere stad en dicht bij een shopping center.Ruime gratis parkeer plaats. Kamers op de begane grond. Fantastisch ontbijt. Vriendelijk personeel.Mooie kamer, goede bedden en badkamer. Niets op aan te merken.

An overnight stay caused by a cancelled flight. The Bastion was close and a very good price for what it offers. The service was superior because the shuttle driver drove us to the sister hotel (there are two Bastions) as a favor, going off of his route.

Dåligt städat på rum och i korridoren. Bra luftkonditionering. Men för oss ett bra läge med närheten till bussförbindelser. Okej frukosten.

We stayed at the Bastion prior to our flight from Schipol. The room was nice and the location felt almost rural. It was very relaxing and the breakfast buffet was good.
