Motel 6-Marysville, CA

The establishment was just about turning a buck. It was dirty, I’ll-kept, and no parking on site in the evening.

Needed a room last minute late at night because my sister's tumor was paining her too much to withstand the hours long ride home, so I was so happy to find an affordable accessible room near Hard Rock Casino & Resort Sacramento. But then after getting dropped off at the motel, the front desk manager said there's no way I reserved an accessible room since someone's already in it. He told me I'd either have to cancel (my non-refundable room!) or accept a room on the 2nd floor. That would've been fine, if they had an elevator. I explained my sister can't walk up the 1 flight of stairs, and I wouldn't be able to carry her wheelchair up either. I understand that it was late & he just wanted to get back to sleep, but we were tired & my sister was freezing in the parking lot. And then when an agent from Hotels.com tried contacting him to get approval for a refund, he wasn't answering. Luckily a supervisor from Hotels.com was able to contact a nearby hotel that did have an accessible room available that would also allow late check-ins till 3am. So our hour and a half long stay in the freezing parking lot of that Motel 6 sucked, but I will say that I normally have great experiences with Motel 6 (especially for direct bookings). I don't think this one bad experience reflects their usual service.

The owners nickel and dime you. They wanted to charge us $17 to do a load of laundry. We booked 2 people, paid online and they made us pay an additional $20/night because of more than 1 person in the room or we could not check in! Guess you don’t pay that $20 they made extra money and have no guests.

It was extremely hot when we entered the room. No A/C no fan no window cracked. Nothing. & it was a 100 degree day. We figured we’d get a cheap room cuz we are just getting ready, going to a concert, sleeping & leaving we weren’t going to be there long at all. But we couldn’t even get ready cuz of how hot It was so we decided to say “F it” & not make a big deal. Once we got back to the hotel after the concert we had to move our car cuz it was a hazard to an emergency thst could arise. We had to park our car around the corner in the dark at like 1am. Then when we finally were about to go to bed there was a COCKROACH on it’s back right next to us. It was disgusting. I have pictures just in case! Barf! If I could give zero stars I would!

Dried pee on toilet seat lid. Floors filthy, if you walked barefoot in the room, your feet turned black. Moth holes in blankets. Laundrey room -- ice machine worked. Washer had sign not working. Snack machine only had a few items but sign out of order. We had to pay 10 dollars more for a downstairs room.

It was a compfortable and friendly stay. But no coffee

The room was very dirty, the walls had stuff dried on them in the bathrooms. Thankfully we only needed to sleep there. The parking was horrible as well don’t get back late. You definitely get what you pay for.

It bathroom was very dirty. The bed spread was full of holes. There was a limited amount of disabled rooms on ground floor. Had to walk upstairs. No elevator. And was bitten all over by bed bugs.

The rooms and property was average. The staff was great, but the owner made checkout disturbing. When checking in he asked for a $20 refundable cash deposit which I thought kind of odd but handed him a $20 bill anyways. Upon checkout he handed me bills all folded up which I didn’t count until I got back in car. There was only $18. Went back in to inform owner and he started screaming at me that everything was on camera and he gave back exactly what I had given him. I suggested he look at the camera to see I gave him $20 and what he was doing was wrong then walked out since he was still screaming at me. Then I decided to go back in to take pictures of his certificates on the wall when he came back out screaming that was illegal. I thought he was going to stroke out. Headed back to the car and he came out chasing me in the parking lot still screaming. Other than that, all was good. They also had a sign on the wall saying coffee which there was none.

This hotel is terrible. The rooms look like they haven’t been cleaned in months. Cobwebs all over, sheets look like they were used. The shower was filthy.

Requested a $20 cash deposit that I could not get back. Office was closed when I left at 8am I called to see if they could credit my card or send me a check and was told “not my problem “ I would have to return to pick up. I won’t be a return customer

There Were Bedbugs And When I Called About Forgotten Items , The Same Lady That Told Me I Could Pick Them Up Threw Them Away Then Tried Telling Me To Get In The Dumpster To Get Them out.

Clerk was completely ignorant of how to process my reservation. Charged a $40 cash deposit for the return of a disposable plastic key card to be returned upon checkout. Room was totally infested with cockroaches.

Stained bedding, hair in the sink and bathroom, checked in at 4pm and they were cleaning the room and told me to wait. I slept in my car

Cleanliness was the worst. Pillows, sheets, towels were disgusting. Shower tub was also very dirty. I've been to many Motel 6 and this is by far the worst.

Walls too thin can hear other having intercourse with squeaky bed. Attendant didn’t provide receipt after promise. Light flickering

Very rude front desk during check-in. Almost like I was bothering them checking in at 4:30pm. Room had very drafty door where cold wind was blowing through. Bed was a little better than slab of concrete.

The overall stay was quite nice except our air conditioner didn't work quite well

Room had no sound insulation or insulation, heater worked but very loud. Did not get a good night sleep there, staff was not helpful.

Bathroom was so small that door would barely open next to toilet. Bed cover was pockmarked with stains and holes from smoking…..

I checked it, the AC didn't work. They did fix it. The room was in very poor condition (holes in the wall, smears on the wall, floorboards needing replaced), the bed is very hard and on two nights my key card didn't work. There's a ton of light the floods the room, you'll hear all loud traffic passing along the highway. And the town itself stinks worse than Bakersfield. I had to wash everything when I got home to get rid of that awful stench.

They charged 75 for a dog in cash and 60 deposit employee very rude went and checked room only returned 20 of deposit. Very unpleasant stay

I had one of the worst hotel experiences ever at Motel 6 in Marysville, CA. I found a good price online through Expedia but decided to stop by in person first to see if I could get a better deal. As soon as I told the man at the front desk I’d just book online, he immediately went on his iPad and blocked the rooms, making them unavailable unless I agreed to pay a higher price directly through him. It was obvious and manipulative. I ended up booking the room online anyway after I left — sure enough, the cheaper rooms were magically available again. When I came back, I told him I had already paid through Expedia, but he still charged my card a second time. Then he demanded a cash-only deposit, which I didn’t have and couldn’t get at the time. I politely asked him to use my card for the deposit, and he refused, saying he wouldn’t pay the bank’s processing fee. When I asked for a refund, he said no, told me to “f off,” and walked away. I had no choice but to call the police. Even then, he only gave me half of my money back and continued trying to block Expedia from helping me. Luckily, Expedia stepped in and resolved the issue on their end. This was an extremely unprofessional and shady experience. I would never recommend staying at this Motel 6. Between the dishonest pricing tactics, double charging, refusal to refund, and flat-out verbal abuse, this place is a nightmare. Spend a little more and stay somewhere where your money — and your dignity — are respected.

Room was advertised as two beds for 4 and Pet Friendly, but that was a Lie. Criminal Manager demanded $50 Cash deposit and wouldn't provide a Receipt, then on checkout, she keeps the $50 for No Just Cause.

The guy who checks you in is incredibly rude, makes you pay the deposit in cash. Even if you make a booking they dont honor that price and typically overcharge. The rooms itself are very clean but the people who work there made me feel unsafe.

I stayed in this room the owner was rude and i booked an room with 2 bed and for me and my 2 children and then my family came by to visit me and the owner tried to make me pay $15 extra per person and he made me pay $25 early check in fee when there was only 1 hour before check in and I didn’t know when you rent a room you have to check in at a certain time and when I went back to get my deposit back he did not give Me my deposit back because the towels were dirty and I had set them on the floor. So he kept my $50 deposit he is very rude and disrespectful he is not a nice person and he doesn’t care about his customers i called the better business buearu
