Motel 6-North Palm Springs, CA - North

They have lots of rooms, but anyone not in front of the parking space. You have to park somewhere, take little walk to your room with all your luggage. There is no way to park in front of your room..

Positives: Great location by I-10, Denny’s next door, nice swimming pool, plenty of parking space, reasonably quiet, friendly staff. Nice hot shower. Decent A/C. Negatives: My room key didn’t work a few times, subpar TV with limited channels.

Staff were friendly and helpful. Rooms were average, but price was right. The rooms were well air conditioned, and beds were comfortable. Felt safe, and parking lot was well lit, and parking included. Ice machine on site.

The room was clean and comfortable. Very basic, no toiletries!. However, the first room we were assigned, the key card didn’t work… Twice I had to return to the office. On the third return, they assigned us a different room with a slight upgrade at no charge. We were glad because the hallway of the first room was pretty dirty. Our second room was upstairs with the refrigerator and it met our needs. There was a large pothole in the parking lot that we couldn’t see in the dark.

Definitely a darker cell room than the bright picture. Room was clean. Bed basic. Both ice machine not producing ice. Clerk said he’d notify maintenance. TV was fine…just really high on the wall.

No hot tub….. pool cold.

Must get a parking pass for everyone with a vehicle that stays. Must show I.D. for everyone that stays. Nice having Denny's right next door. Love the pet friendly part

Staff don’t seem to care, one of our cars got towed in our group, never did the front desk staff say we need a permit to park. Lots to get the car back. And the manager is calling us liars.

I wasn't told by front desk staff I needed a parking permit. So my car got towed. Wasn’t cheap to get the car back.

Filthy again. Last time thru (road trip stop one night) had 3rd room finally clean and had sheets. This time, dirty sheets. Asked for set of clean sheets to put on myself. These were dirty too. Will jot ever again stay here .

The check in was fast. We did have trouble with the room key it would not unlock the room. We have to try it a lot of times even after we got it activated by staff the second time around. The bed was terrible to sleep in, the next day it felt like we got beat up.

Room was very dirty. We found trash left on the floor all around the room and under the bed.

This could be the dirtiest smelliest hotel I’ve ever been to. Stayed at Motel six is across this nation and I’ve never run into one that smelled as bad or was as dirty as this one. There were little black hairs all over the bed. The air conditioning vents had mold on them, and the buttons for the air conditioner were so dirty. I wouldn’t even touch them and did I mention the room smelled horrific we ended up immediately checking out and requesting a refund because that was unacceptable conditions nobody should ever stay there ever.

RE:Room #207. I was issued a room that was very dirty. There was hair all over the floor, dirty sheets and many cockroaches ! Food was left in refrigerator from previous person in the room. Disgusting!

Extremely dirty, never had this experience at any hotel before (including numerous Motel 6), dead flies all over the floor, stains and hair all over, including bathroom and sheets, silverfish in the beds. Very dirty in the hallway including cigarette buds all over (in the hallway), knocking on the door at 7am on a Sunday with a man saying he was room service, not long after a male seemingly loudly talking on the phone outside our door that he is going to “f### someone up”. Overall worst experience we’ve ever had at a hotel.

The office smelled like someone just finished smoking marijuana during our check in. Sadly, there was trash and a used towel on the ground outside the room door, there was a visible (cigarette) burn hole on one of the top bedsheets, lots of visible hair on the floor from the previous tentants, and used soap in the shower. This was not an impressive stay and we will not be returning.

Room was dirty. Non smoking room that stunk like cigarette/cigar smoke. Un flushed toilet. Old food in fridge.

My tv wouldn't work correctly. I requested a replacement, they checked it out and replaced it within the hour. Rooms need minor repair improvements. the heater doesn't work and it's winter.

Bed was so uncomfortable

Pros: right off the 10 fwy, and cheap. Cons: checked in at 8:00 pm through a bank teller window, lobby was locked. Felt a little unsafe and directions to our room was a joke. Room was bare bones, wouldn't walk on the floors without socks. Pillows are small and square. Sheets and bed cover are two of the same. Watch out for pot holes. They are everywhere. Otherwise, clean and quiet. Could hear the guy next door sawing logs, but a low TV on our side downed it out.

Wi-Fi or tv did not work

Nothing in the rooms..coffee machine, fridge, or microwave. Stayed at others for same price and they have those items and free breakfast. I just stayed for a night which was ok. Didnt expect much for the price. Walked over to am/pm for coffee and breakfest. There is a Dennys next door as well.

Waited 30 minutes before attendant came back from i dono where. TV does not work and the internet was very abit slow.

Bare bones! If you book a queen size room, make sure youre traveling solo. Two people dont have room to move. Book two queens, instead. No hair dryer, so bring your own. No coffee maker. But...Motel 6. Had to pay 150 because Coachella, definitely not worth that@ Stand alone little place, on north side of Fwy 10, but 24 hr Dennys next door. Wouldn't stay again.

Late night guest arrivals were loud and attempted entry into my room using swipe keys. Mistaken with no harmful intent but it woke me up and was concerning. Did not contact front desk.

Very cold and windy in Palm Springs. Heater in my room (143) did not work. Guests in the room above me were very noisy into the early morning hours.

We travel a lot and very frequently and this is hands down the worst hotel we have ever come across, as concerns customer service! The receptionist Cece is totally unfit for the job. She is too rude to customers and does not know how to behave with them. She did a mix up of our payment with another customer and ended up calling us around 10 PM in the night asking us to make the payment again or asking us to leave!!! She did not even care that we have a baby and asked myself and my husband to come to the reception at that time of the night. She did not tell her manager that she did a mistake and told a completely different story to him. The manager in turn without verifying the facts also was very rude to us. My husband kept his cool despite their worst behavior and ultimately the manager understood that the fault was on their side. Our vacation was completely messed up because of this lady’s recklessness. She could not even give us the right key to our room the previous day and we had to run three times to the reception from the room in the cold after trying and finding out that they were the wrong keys. A friend of ours who travelled with us had a tough time with this lady as she gave them a smoking room despite having booked a non smoking room saying it is first come first serve although it was available. Never ever book your stay in this hotel!

Aaron is a phenomenal asset to the motel 6 brand…he is courteous, professional, and not bad to look at (which is a plus…😉). I have nothing but praise for the hotel. Keep up the good work!

Sonya was amazing, made my stay welcomed especially in a new city for work. Will definitely stay here again very soon for my next work days!!!

The staff led by Aaron was the best Motel 6 experience ive ever had. He helped me get an extra night when I desperately needed it. His staff was sweet and accomodating at every turn, I would stay there again just to say hi to them.

I booked on Expedia for a $108 tax and fees included. Upon arriving the motel 6 employee informed me that they had my info but that expedias credit card was not working and the last cust to use it had to call and Expedia gave a different card number. The employee didn’t bother to help in anyway but instead insisted I call Expedia, after wasting over 30 min to get ahold of an Expedia rep I was given the run around and they ended up cancelling my reservation and making me wait almost two weeks for my refund. As an additional slap in the face the hotel has me get the same room but I have to pay upfront, she says it’s $108 so I agree, the sneaky crooks charged me $128, so not only was my Expedia reservation worthless and I had to wait an ridiculous amount of time for my money i lied to and charged more. Piss poor shameful service on both motel 6 and Expedia the way this was handled. If I wanted to feel unwelcome, sleep in a dirty room and wake up itchy I would go back to my ex wife. Have you ever felt like divorcing a whole hotel chain and booking outfit?

We had an overnight day due to a concert in the area, rooms were super clean. this place was super convenient as it was right next to the freeway so if you don’t know the area, it makes you feel super comfortable to having easy access to the highway. As for customer service, Sonya and Bri were a delight and super helpful.

Aaron Land the general manager was high in energy and nice to communicate with. The front desk people are always a pleasure. cheers to this motel 6 location North Palm Springs !!!

Terrible, unacceptable. 4 times I had to ask the staff to fix my room key and the last one I waited for 20 min waiting outside my room after asking for help at the office so I left really angry about the lack of response

Young guy at front desk was rude and incompetent. Had to get keys redone every time we left. He made fun of elderly woman who didn't hear what he said.

The location for us was great - adjacent to the freeway for east/west and Indian Canyon Road for north/south. Very friendly efficient staff.

Close by wind turbines create annoying strobe light effect through windows has sun is going down. Otherwise good for an economy stay.

The police were making regular visits to handle situations with the people in some of the rooms. I didn't feel safe at all. There was no security that I could see provided by the hotel. It was loud but it was next to a freeway so I understood that. There were cigarette Burns on the furniture, in the bathroom. It was lots of water damage to the drywall in the bathroom and there's also ceiling damage where it looks like repairs were done just not repaired correctly. I would not recommend staying at this motel 6 in Palm springs. I only stayed through the fact I had a flat tire and could not get it fixed until the morning. Otherwise I would have got another hotel in a safer area I would have checked to make sure it was clean.

Cheap and convenient place to stay! Relatively clean. Quiet and felt safe. Dennys is just across the street for a quick breakfast!

It was very windy for our stay. But I love the views of the mountains from that Motel 6. And I loved watching the palm trees, and windmills blowing from the window of our room. Comfortable room with great views. Lots of fast foods, and convenience stores, within a block of hotel. Denny's right next door.

Easy access to the freeway and located next to Denny’s and gas station. It was clean but the room smelled like smoke and we did specify wanting a non-smoking room. Otherwise everything was good!

Nice hotel, right next door to Denny’s. Surrounding area is a little suspect… it’s dessert hot springs so that explains a lot. Hotel itself was nice, no real complaints except the floor was sticky. Everything else was fine
