Motel 6-Riverside, CA - South

This is one of the few properties operated by Motel 6 that I felt very secure in. The lighting outside was bright as day, which was very nice to have when taking my dog out. They have a security guard on site that checks people in and out of the property, adding to the safety. I’m always concerned about some of the clientele and their total disregard for others as they yell and slam doors in the middle of the night, but that is not Motel 6’s problem. I was also puzzled how they waited to clean my room until the night before I left. All in all it was a good stay despite the price.

Originally I reserved a room with 2 queen beds, I was given 2 full beds. I was travelling with my husband and 3 kids we did not have a lot of room in the beds. There was no dresser, no fridge, no coffee maker, and no microwave. One of my kids went to the restroom and there was a Cockroach behind the toilet, then when I went in to check there was one in the bathtub. It was disgusting. The floors were gritty and it seemed like it hadn't been cleaned very well. The front desk was rude when I asked questions. We took the kids to the pool and I asked the front desk if there were towels for the pool and they said no. Last but not least, I asked for a room downstairs and they put us in a room on the other side of the hotel, in the corner and it looked like there were other people that actually lived there. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone especially if you have children. Not the environment you would want to be in. I have stayed at many Motel 6's and I have never seen anything like this.

Better than average Motel 6. Very nice grounds! Easy parking secure fence. Pretty clean. Dirty floor. Beat up room entry door. Not very secure feeling.

Is very clean,comfortable,front desk treat right.The only thing that I Would like the rooms to have is microwave and small fridge .

I stayed here with my family for a week the only down side is that there is no fridge or microwave they did have a laundry room and everything was very clean

My stay included a shower head that was unable to be moved as it was flopping around. Bed was like sleeping in a hole and very lumpy. Both Ice Machines out of order.

My stay here was good. I like to stay here because they have a laundry facility on site. The other motels in Riverside by the mall do not have.

It was ok for a last minute booking! The front desk young girl was super nice and accommodating, good parking, the ice machine was ideal for a super hot weekend and a great breakfast joint right across the street!

The room was so dirty and the towels weren’t even clean. It was the worst hotel I’ve stayed in.

This front desk was very nice and helpful, but the rooms was very dirty. Floors looked like they hadn't been swiped or mopped in a long time and shower was very dirty as well.

They have roaches and dog poop all around walk ways and in grass and even signs of poop in rooms. Bathtubs have mold and brown stuff coming out of cracks and not sure you should bathe in these tubs

I asked for a none spoking room and ot smell horrible like cigarettes also the restroom had blood stains in the toilet.

Horrible. Avoid at all cost. Dirty and loud and roaches. Management need to clean up the place.

The staff was nice. The bed was not comfortable but the room was clean.

It has a good location, but the beds are so bad. This is the second time and the other bed was the same as bad.

Its was too small

The door looked like it’s been kicked in a few times. Door had a gap from where it had been kicked.

The mattress felt like an old futon mattress. There was no even spot on it and super hard. We had a horrible night. The towels were so thin. The room was not available on time and they kept saying we never chose a type of room and tried to upsell us and everyone in the lobby. We choose a non smoking room due to my husband condition. Once we lay in bed the pillows smelled like cigarettes.

they did not honor my request, of non smoking room using Expedia, saying its by a third party, and it is not guaranteed, after an argument, they gave me a non smoking room with no bath tub, room was noisy you can hear every one talking outside the room as if I am sleeping in the middle of the street, internet was mostly not working,I had to complain almost every day till they fix it few hours after, it was very hard to prepare for the business I came to town to do, I do not think I will try motel 6 riverside CA south again.

The bed is located about 10 inches away from a window that runs the full width of the motel room. That window is located right along the balcony.

The staff at this location was great

Check in was supposed to start at 3pm and they kept telling us in 30 minutes, then another 30 minutes. They said they didn’t have people to clean the rooms. Didn’t get a room until after 5pm and when we asked for a later checkout or a discount if we added another day we were told to talk to manager. The manager was conveniently never available.

Reserved a non smoking room but got a smoking one, went to the office and got it switched right away, no delay.

My check in time was 3:00 pm I arrived 3:30 pm . My room wasn’t ready they had told me to wait 20 minutes. Ok not a problem I will wait . I have them 30 minutes went to check nope still not ready yet . I had to wait 2 hours just for them to give me my room. Not okay.

Check-in was fine, a little odd that IDs are submitted to police department and you have to sign in agreement to stay there. I was happy to hear that the police patrolled the property every 45 minutes; However it did not happen. The rooms were decent, what you’d expect of a Motel 6. We had a vehicle breakdown and I was traveling with 2 seniors (83 and 87) and a 12 year old plus our dogs and needed a place for them quick while the vehicle was worked on. There was dog crap covering every lawn and dirt patch, people hanging out in their cars or on the sidewalks blasting music and smoking weed all throughout the night, and no hotel staff or police presence to control the chaos. We barely slept. I was told my vehicle would be ready at 12:30 so I asked for a late check out and moved everyone into one room so the housekeeping could at least clean one room on time. I offered to pay a late check out fee and even to pay for another night if I wasn’t back by 1pm to exit the second room. While I was gone to get my vehicle, the office staff called and harassed my elderly father regarding checking out. Upon my return (2:45pm) as I was almost done loading the vehicle, the office staff approached me and threatened told me i needed to leave. I stated that I was almost done loading the vehicle and I was going to come up to check out and pay any fees. She reiterated I needed to leave and she’d call the police if i wasn’t out of the room in 5 minutes. I was appalled at the treatment I received

Excellent customer service

The one that I stayed in smelled like somebody somebody had been smoking all their life and had a very foul smell to it. Also, area is unsafe a lot of druggies hanging out.

Close to everything

I rented the hotel for 16 days. I had a double queen room with a microwave and a fridge. The room was clean and the bathroom was clean. I appreciated that it had a bathtub. During the first week, I was unable to enter the parking lot due to eight police cars blocking everything because they were looking for someone. I ended up canceling the second half of my stay because I had the kids and it didn’t feel the safest.

For what you’re paying for I can’t complain, and the sweet, sweet, sweet lady at the front desk could not be any sweeter. She is the highlight of the entire hotel, even though it's in a bad area and there are some unsavory personalities that like to populate the area occasionally. soluble

My stay was very frightful, my room was clean but there was many homeless and weird people outside of the hotel, I woke up in the middle of the night to a woman screaming outside that hotel I was very frightful I don't think I recommend this hotel nor would I stay here again

I normally in the past didn't provide reviews, but now that I do stay at many hotels across the US, I find that these reviews help others to make informed decision regarding hotel accomdations. So the following is what I found at Motel 6 at Riverside. The cons 1st: since that what I look at 1st on the reviews. The front desk was okay but not very pleasant or helpful. It felt like she was doing me a favor being there. I had a 2 queen bed non smoking room. There was mildrew in the bathtub walls,cigarette burns on tub, the water pressure was very low, the room heater did not work, the TV was very small and encased in a box, the wall were paper thin the noise from outside, next door, upstairs were loud and made it hard to sleep. Police presence happened both nights of our stay. Ammenities were lacking in room. Area seemed unsafe. Homeless frequented the surrounding area. Pros: There were many restaurants in the area for dining, and the freeway entrances were near. I probably would try another hotel if I'm in the area next time.

I love the on-site laundry and vending. The facility is also beautiful to look at with all of their trees and flowers. The only thing that I did not like were the roaches the size of my eyes. Scared my kids and made them not even want to eat in the room.
