We had a lovely time at Blue - Inn on The Beach!!! My daughter and I stayed for one night. Everything was perfect in room #8. The size was just right. It was super clean, cozy, and quiet. Plenty of outlets for phones, computers, blow dryers, etc. We enjoyed our patio in the evening and moved inside by the fireplace when the chill in the air became too much. We woke to an amazing sunrise so quickly walked down the few steps to the beach and strolled for a few hours. Our only wish was to stay longer! We will be back!!! Note: There is no full length mirror in the room.

Hot water not working on kitchen sink Overall building maintenance is lagging and showing a rundown appearance third floor glass on railings, not cleaned, allowing for a better view of beach. Overall, the staff was very limited in doing their best.

The rooms' doors do not have deadbolts for security. Without the deadbolt, a wrong key could be given out, and another guest could easily walk into your room. The fireplace screen was filthy to the point that you could barely see the fire. The outdoor fire pit has been inoperable since spring, based on the weeds growing in it.

Really great experience! Easy check in, friendly, grabbed a cookie and some chips, got our room code (no annoying keys to manage!) then immediately checked out the GORGEOUS beach, directly off our semi-private deck. Perfect place to unwind. Amazing shower, fireplace, the breakfast—WOW—delivered to our door in a basket and carafe! Delicious and fresh. We’ll be back.

A quick overnight stay with my sister and elderly mother. We stayed in one of the cottages. Price was right for off season. Parking was a little walk, not bad. The pathway to the cottage was difficult for my mother to navigate with a walker: sand, glass pebbles, patio steps. The smell of the cleaning supplies was pleasant but quite overwhelming, we had to air the cottage as it gave us all an immediate headache. Once aired it was fine. Bring your own food/drinks off season, as nothing but a little convenient store was open at 5pm and food items there were expensive!

I stayed in the Lark Suite and it was well worth it. Everything was neat, clean and had everything we needed for our stay. The views from our room were amazing and just what we wanted. All of the staff was very friendly, and they assured us to let them know if there was anything else we needed. Everything was perfect! I would definitely stay there again.

This has been one of the best, most relaxing vacations I have had. This beautiful inn is right on the beach!!! You walk out onto your patio, and then it's sand and ocean. It is quiet and all you hear are the waves crashing on the shore. You receive a wonderful breakfast every morning with quiche, muffins, fresh orange juice, a smoothie and a carafe of coffee, delivered to your room in a little picnic basket, at a time that you desire. The rooms are immaculate and tastefully appointed, and look out on the beautiful beach. The staff was gracious and wonderful. Even the late check-in process was easy. We were very sad to leave this morning, but we have out this place on our annual list, 9n our trip to Massachusetts. Do not hesitate to stay here. You will get addicted!!

We only spent one night but it was so nice. It’s a great location right on the beach. Our room was very clean and beautiful. The bed was super comfy!! I wish we could have stayed longer. We will be back.

The corner king bed room was excellent. The room was clean, the view was incredible and the staff were very knowledgeable and friendly. Comparable to Secrets properties with more patio room in a boutique style beach hotel.

Really enjoyed our stay at Blue Inn. High quality accommodations in all respects. Right on beautiful beach. The staff was always available and helpful. Newberryport town a delight with walkable marina and many unusual shops and restaurants in a tranquil friendly atmosphere. Summer weather in the 70’s as hoped👍

The room amenities were really pretty outstanding. We were there on a cold and rainy week so ended up, appreciating the fireplace and the corner view of the ocean in suite 12. So close to ocean, really nice balcony.

We loved the location, the room appointments, and the staff were wonderful. We came in on a Friday night and our room had two issues the staff wasn’t aware of but handled beautifully. Unfortunately, I don’t remember her name but the young lady came from home to address them in less than 10 minutes. The breakfast baskets are a creative spin on room service, our only suggestion for an even better experience, would be to have two options for the guests choose from the evening before. We will be back and look forward to visiting other Lark Hotel locations.

Clean cozy friendly! I sent a txt to freshen up room while I was out and it was done in a very timely manner!! Very happy with our stay!! Breakfast with coffee delivered to us at 8am on the dot!

Just what we needed for a weekend wedding stay. Breakfast delivered to our cottage - coffee was delicious, bkfst quality was not good. Maybe a simple (yummy) muffin or bagel would be better. WONDERFUL spot right on the beach!

Fantastic!!! Front desk staff was phenomenal- went above & beyond in service and ensuring we had everything we needed. Breakfast delivered to your room daily. Room was great- ocean views, fireplace, bed very comfortable!! Location was wonderful!!

Really enjoyed our stay at Blue Inn. High quality accommodations in all respects. Right on beautiful beach. The staff was always available and helpful. Newberryport town a delight with walkable marina and many unusual shops and restaurants in a tranquil friendly atmosphere. Summer weather in the 70’s as hoped👍

The views from this property are amazing. You can't beat the sunrise over the ocean. And just stepping right out for a walk on the beach. Totally and completely in love with Blue Inn. We will return.

The inn is beautiful. Very quiet and the setting can't be beat. The breakfast delivered to our room was unique and delicious. I would definitely stay at the Blue Inn on the Beach again.

This place is a gem! Beautiful room, well furnished and appointed, breakfast delivered to your door at a time of your choosing, perfect ocean view, and a staff that is only visible when you need them. The location right on the beach and very close to the wildlife preserve on Plum Island is perfect.

Loved the whole vibe of this place. Our room opened right onto the beach. Awesome morning sunrises. Breakfast baskets delivered to the door. We will be back to enjoy the free bikes and another stay at the Blue.

A beautiful place with amazing views and access to the beach. I was really disappointed in breakfast though. Stale bagel, and literally a bite sized cold egg bite. A simple fresh croissant would have been way better. Other than that, it was an amazing stay.

The views from the Blue Inn are amazing! Hearing the waves crashing on the beach is mesmerizing and can lull you in to a tranquil rest. In the morning we were delivered a delicious meal in a custom basket with fresh oj, a fruit smoothie a mini quiche and fresh coffee. Would certainly stay here again.

Really great experience! Easy check in, friendly, grabbed a cookie and some chips, got our room code (no annoying keys to manage!) then immediately checked out the GORGEOUS beach, directly off our semi-private deck. Perfect place to unwind. Amazing shower, fireplace, the breakfast—WOW—delivered to our door in a basket and carafe! Delicious and fresh. We’ll be back.

We are former residents of Plum Island and always wanted to stay at the Blue. We moved two years ago and wanted to visit, so we took it as an opportunity to stay at The Blue. Maybe it just didn't live up to the hype, or the gray/cold time of year, but we were overall just okay with the stay. Beautiful view from our ocean front room, which was clean and neat. Very beachy vibe and style. We weren't able to take advantage of the outdoor seating and a walk on the beach due to the weather. The downsides we encountered were limited. The evening internet was horrible, although the next morning it was okay (I had a working morning with Zoom calls, so I needed it). Maybe the evening had too many streamers, but the hotel did not seem very occupied. There is also no real work surface in the room. A small/low coffee table was it. If you plan to work on your vacation, bring your own table. There is also no community lounge area. The Blue did a great job with most of the details, but small important details were missed, like only 3 sugars and 4 regular creamers in the room's coffee condiments. Plenty of artificial sweeteners and hazelnut creamers. Great presentation with the breakfast basket, but only the yogurt and coffee were good, minus the missing condiments. The eggs were not. We got The Blue out of our system. We can cross it off the bucket list. We don't expect that we'd stay there again.

In the room we stayed in we couldn’t figure out how to shut the blinds within the window pains but overall it was a cozy inn with a beautiful view, highly recommend.

Beautiful property. I stayed there 18 years ago and always wanted to go back. So glad we did. We loved our beachfront view. It rained a lot, but it was still a very relaxing getaway. The staff are friendly and very accommodating. Newburyport is just a 10-minute drive with top shelf restaurants. We enjoyed The Coffee Factory for lunch, they serve a great cup of Joe and the food is delicious. Bar25 NBPT has craft cocktail that are off the charts, and the food was just as good!
