Masters Inn Selma/Smithfield I-95

Room was filthy. Freezer was rusted throughout. Dead and live roaches. I had to wipe slime from desk and microwave. No coffee maker, no clothing hangars and no amenities (?sliver of soap). Pool was unusable.

This property offered smoking rooms, Bed was extremely comfortable and room was clean with a mini fridge and microwave.Great for travelers, great rates.

They are at the beginning of a total remodel. Wish I known, I would have stayed somewhere else. When the remodel is finished I am sure this will be a great property.

Door handle was broken (barely functional), lights w/o bulbs, dead & dying cockroaches under li'l fridge (which we moved bc it wasn't working. We found that the outlet was on an obscure light switch). Not enough outlets to plug everything, floor & toilet were dirty.

Room wasn’t clean, floor was sticky and not swipe. Hair on the toilet seat.

Sheets on bed seemed used. Towels were soiled rags. Bathtub was so dirty i didn’t have the courage of steping in to takd a shower. Hot warer was at most lukewarm

This property is partially condemned. They need to condemn the rest of it, due to the smell alone along with the filth. There were dead bugs on the unswept floor, the sheets and towels were stained. It was very seedy. I slept on top of a blanket I happened to have in my trunk.

Area wasn't safe and the rooms are dirty/ unsanitary. That place should be closed down. When we first went to the room, we first noticed that unbearable smell, diety sheets and pillows. Dirty lamps and the phone. We went to front desk and asked to be moved to another room because I couldn't sleep in that room with my kids and my husband. The lady working at the front desk laughed like telling me "good luck" you're not getting anything better than that. The second room they provided me wasn't any better than the first. In that second room we saw cockroaches and the smell was not any better. We left that hotel at 1;00am to look for another one because there was no way I was staying there. Another thing, VERY, VERY UNSAFE AREA. PLEASEEEE DON'T BOOK THIS HOTEL.

Not only did they not have the King bed I reserved, the room they placed me in was dirty, toilet was visibly dirty, bathtub was visibly dirty, had to run hot water for 15 mins to get rid of whatever was there, towels and rags had visible stains

The whole experience was sketchy and felt unsafe. The walls were sticky and cigarette burns in the sheets. Spent a total of 1 minute there and left. But looks like they’re so kind to charge us for the night.

Lowkey looks like its been abandoned for years, everything looks so run down. The sink fell apart when I tried to use it lol. The bathroom door doesn't close because the door is too big. The bed and pillows were ok. The staff working there are really nice, and know about these issues but they can't do much about it. Overall, it was ok for the price I paid.

Well run place. No issues with room, very clean and quiet.

As the low cost option among many other brands in the area, of course you get what you pay for. The carpet was vacuumed but likely needed shampooing. The sheets were clean. The shower controls felt like they were on their last legs, but they worked. The outlets were loose, but enough of them worked to plug in a sleeping device and chargers for electronics. For the price, it was adequate.

I made and paid for Rena's reservation. When she arrived to check-in they would not allow her to. Her driver’s license had an address she no longer lives at and they said that address was too close to the motel and wouldn't check her in. Never heard of such an excuse. I have filed a case requesting a refund from Expedia. I hope it will be promptly approved and processed. It's a holiday weekend and the motel is directly off a major interstate and will certainly be rented out to someone else.

The staff lady was terrible... White old lady that works 2nd shift... I just arrived from Florida... She asked me to fill out the registration card.. I asked her what address I should use, the one I just moved from or the I plan on moving to on the 24th of February... I told her I applied for an apartment in in Raleigh and got approved... She told me whichever one I want.. so I go with the new address, mind u, I haven't set foot in the new address or in Raleigh for that matter... Everytime I did was online when it came to the apartment... Soon as I put the address she said that she couldn't rent to me because I was a resident of wake county and the address was within their 75 mile range that they don't rent to locals... Mind u, I just got to NC haven't even seen Raleigh yet, and I had my child with me.. I tried to explain the best way I could, which I asked what address should I put since I haven't technically moved into the new place.. she yell at me in front of my son told me to get out.. I booked and paid for the room online.. had to go through hell to get my money back from who I booked through.. that lady is prejudice.. I couldn't believe it.. not to mention my fortieth birthday was just in a few hours.. she wouldn't call the manager or nothing...
