Motel 6-Vancouver, WA

No parking space, looks dirty around building. I don’t think I would ever stay at another Motel 6.

The room was clean with sparse furnishings. An older building in needing a handimans touch to tighten knobs, faucets, electrical brackets. Outside garbage cans over flowing.

Amazing atmosphere, super clean rooms and grounds. Parking was secure, and the overall presence of staff kept the rifraff to a minimum.

While staff was great the area about the motel and the property could’ve definitely been better. Went to do laundry and decided not to because the washing machine was dirty inside. The rooms are okay for a night but you could hear everything outside. Thankfully this property has cameras everywhere, you can see all the cameras they have up as soon as you check in. So while i felt a little better leaving our car parked in the lot, if it weren’t for the cameras i would not trust leaving my vehicle in the area overnight.

I was worried about my work vehicle and the homeless hanging around but the property has excellent surveillance and it was actually peaceful and quiet in my room and I am a very light sleeper. Another reason to don’t judge a book by its cover and great value.

Limited parking in front of the building.

Excellent location, just need to pick up the garbage around the outside.

This place is dilapidated, dirty and is sketchy as all heck with people who are obviously living here and using their cars as a smoke break room. Walls and paint were filthy, stairs were busted up, exterior paint is very dirty and the big screen TV with a dozen security camera when you check in didn’t inspire confidence

Safe parking, well lit area, signage everywhere, no issues whatsoever!

Ice machines never worked

About what you would expect from a cheap motel. The stairs next to my room were out of service so I had to walk the long way. As I was trying to get to sleep I saw something crawling on my pillow: by the time I was finished I found two bed bugs. After some searching I found no more, but two was enough to frustrate me.

I paid for a room and left within the hour because the room was absolutely disgusting. Holes in curtains, walls were covered in gunk and dirt floors were nasty, it made my skin crawl there was no way I was sleeping in there

Run down and not very clean

The staff was friendly and helpful, especially when I had to change rooms after I found 5 nice in the mattress cover of my bed which I discovered as they crawled under me and against me, with the sheets between us. I should have been given that night free. I had 5 different rooms in 3 days, all the A/C units in each room at mice living in them, you can see them watching you.

Ants in the bathroom. Dirty, stained mattresses. Awful smell in room. Burn holes everywhere. Hair in tub. I have video and pictures. Didn't stay 2 minutes. Etchasketch homies outside lurking. Nasty. Not for families. Not safe. Disgusting. Motel 6 should disinfranchise this location. Super shady. Definitely not like some of the private owned locations I am used to. If your a criminal or dirty person, this is your home away from home. A tent would be more sterile.

Clean and comfortable rooms. Staff is very kind, considerate and efficient. Very much enjoyed our stay.

The room was very spacious and clean

The room was gross.. and the ants were unbelievable... as soon as the dog food hit the dog dish ants were everywhere. Holes in bedspread, only one towel amd one washcloth, bathroom lights stopped working...

When I arrived the area seemed clean & safe but the room was filthy. There were stains on the sheets, pillows and hair all over the floor & beds. The room was nonsmoking but it still had a bad odor.

Basic. Good value for the buck. Clean. Friendly staff. Our room 308 was very spacious. We were traveling with two bikes and there was loads of space for them in the room. Walking distance to a couple of pubs, starbucks and restaurants. Super convenient access to the freeway and gas bar.

For one reason or another, it took three tries to get a room where everything worked, and the ladies at the front desk were very helpful. The room was clean and comfortable, and the WIFI was decent. You can tell that they have or had renovated the place. For the price, I think it's a good option if you are just passing through or on business, and I would stay here again.

Staff nice and everyone is pretty chill for the most part just upstairs nieghbors were noisy

Wi-Fi doesn’t work

NO CHAIRS! " We had a big problem, so there are no chairs in any of the rooms."

Transfers noise from upstairs. The floor needs cleaning. There is only a single wall outlet to charge devices . The TV was not able to connect.

The rooms were spacious

Table in room for eating, or doing work. No chairs for table. Told they are on order. Shower not connected properly, so not spraying. Like a faucet set six feet high.

Was very basic. Clean but some wear and tear on property. Rooms were a bit noisy.

It was impossible to sleep beds were so uncomfortable

Of course when we booked we did know we would get what we paid for, but the non smoking room stunk and the tub and cigarette burns on it. It was tidy but did not have that sparkling clean look or feeling. I wore socks or slippers while in the room. The sheets were clean and spot free and we just need a place to lay our heads.

The guy who was dealing with us gave us a bad attitude. He seemed like he didn't want to deal with us. When he asked for my wife's ID after I gave him mine and I asked him why he needed it, he said "if you don't give it, you won't stay here." His statement gave us an idea that he didn't want to deal with us as a customer. He didn't direct where the room is. When we couldn't find the room and went back to him and asked him where the room was at, he was indignant, we decided not to stay at this motel, so we left. We want to report this employee to Motel 6 Vancouver and give them our complaint.

The staff is fantastic.

Place is clean, has parking and gets the job done. Wasnt expecting world class service. I do however, expect some level of respect when dealing with desk staff. When i went to check in, there were two women behind the desk. Neither of them looked up or acknowledged my presence. I stood there for a minute or two without any interaction. Unsure of what to do, i came up to the desk and said "Im here to check in. I have a reservation." The older lady behind the desk replies "You're going to have to wait, Sweetie. Were right in the middle of shift change." She said this in a very condensending tone. I have no idea what shift change at a hotel looks like. I was offended that she would talk to me that way after completely ignoring me walking in. All they had to do was say something like "hello, we're right in the middle of a shift change, itll be just a few minutes." Other than that unpleasant interchange, its Motel 6. You know what you're getting.

This motel 6 is in a great location, just about anything you need can be found in less than a mile. The rooms are always very clean. The staff is absolutely amazing. Kaycie, Stephanie, Magda and Joy (all the front desk ladies) are so helpful and accommodating. They will do what they can to make sure you have everything you need, are content and comfortable. The area over all isn’t the greatest. I had a few uncomfortable encounters in the parking lot during my time here and the ladies at the front desk always made sure to take notes and make any reports and/or call security if necessary. I don’t think I would feel safe if it wasn’t for their attentiveness and diligence. My family is going through an extremely difficult time and Kaycie, Stephanie, Magda and Joy all have gone above and beyond to make our unfortunate circumstances a little less stressful and not so mentally draining. They have gone out of their way to make sure we are more than comfortable and enjoy our days/nights there. They are all so welcoming and have made us feel like family. Any time we need a place to stay, this motel 6 will always be at the top of our list, specifically because of the absolutely amazing front desk staff. They all deserve a raise! Had problems with our room key but the lady at the desk was very helpful and even walked all the way over to my room to let us in. Later we were able to pick up a working key

Check in staff not particularly friendly. We had been on the road for several hours and were in need of bathroom, upon entering the lobby they asked us to wait as they were doing a shift change. I inquired about use of a bathroom and was told there was no public restroom, when asked not even for for guests with reservations checking in? I was once again rudely advised there was no public restroom. Not very accommodating and left us with a negative feeling about the property.

Well, a motel 6 is always affordable, and right off the highway. It was convienent for my stay in Vancouver this time. There was a somewhat shabby church property next door, but it wasnt a problem.

I've stayed here several time's and each time I come back the young lady that works the night shift is always friendly. The hotel is Centrally located close to many restaurants and easy to get on and off highway 205.

The grounds were dirty, it seemed like an area where there were probably a lot of homeless people, or drugs.

Overall, it was an okay stay. The staff was nice when I checked in/out, and they are very pet friendly which we loved. However, we were there for two nights and each day there were tons of cops there and always an ambulance every 4-6 hours. There’s also a lot of random pedestrians walking around screaming and yelling at guests. All of that is not necessarily the motels fault, but we just didn’t feel very safe during our stay. The room was fairly clean. The beds were clean, and the bathroom amenities were as well. But there are a lot of gross stains on the walls and bathroom door that just made me want to scrub the walls myself. I know what to expect when staying at a Motel 6, and this was one of the worst ones i’ve stayed in when it comes to feeling safe in your room and overall comfort. Definitely would probably skip staying here ever again unless they got better safety precautions.

Location was good, close to restaurants and PDX Airport

Obviously not a high end hotel, but compared to other Motel 6 hotels, it was better then most. Both the night and morning front desk staff were really friendly. The interior is dated, a little worn and kind of depressing but it was clean. The toilet was clean, and I had white socks on and was worried they would get black walking on the hard surface floors but they stayed clean. The bed was hard, but it was clean. The TV had a decent selection of channels. The exterior was clean, the parking surface was clean, and the landscaping was kept up. It was a Friday night and its a cheaper hotel and sometimes that draws some people that are loud, sketchy, or inconsiderate towards others. This particular motel 6 had only a few of those types, but the majority were just regular people and families that were friendly and nice. The neighborhood is fine. A few homeless people with various personal issues in the area, but they were never intrusive or bothering me. I had a nice car and nobody messed with it. Theres plenty of places to get something to eat within walking distance, and all the other major department and satellite chain stores within a mile. As someone who travels for work and stays at about 60 hotels a year throughout the country and sometimes overseas, Im not a big fan of Motel 6, but this one was fine for just a safe place to lay down for a night and take a clean shower in the morning.

The bathrooms are kinda dated although clean. Id like to see shampoo and instant coffee and creamer included

Besides the front desk clerk being helpful and welcoming, the location is conveniently close to restaurants and shopping center. The room was clean; however, the bed sheets need to be cleaned thoroughly. Asides from that, I would definitely come back.

It's the usual motel 6 deal, fine if you don't need free breakfast and shampoo. A little noisy in the parking lot on a Saturday night.

we just wanted a room for the night as we were leaving early for the airport. did not want a pool, exercise room or breakfast. exactly what we were looking for.

Staff is always super nice. Wish there was coffee makers in room.

This motel has seen better days! It could use some TLC. However, the room was clean, lots of towels , but the sheets were rougher than I am accustomed to. The gal at the reception desk showed us how the remote for the tv worked, which was very kind. The motel is across the street from an Elmer’s restaurant which is very convenient! It provides easy access to the freeway.

I would not stay here again. It really needs updating. Lots of noise from young people runongbup & down the stairs. No coffee, no amenities in bathroom. Badly neds updating
