Riches and they were remodeling also to get into the actual driveway is right off a busy freeway and to get out and get food or anything else you have to do a huge round about through the traffic lights a 5 mins trip easy turns into 20 just because there only one way in and out of the motel.

The hotel is located right off the freeway exit and it was the closest hotel to my appointment I had the next day. It’s 15 minutes away from LaJolla if you’re looking to hit the beach. The room was small but had everything you need fridge TV free Wi-Fi and table area. As far as the location it’s a bit shady definitely not the Hilton but for a night sleep over it worked for me. The price was a great value for what you get. No breakfast only coffee available in the lobby

Laura at the front desk was great, made the check in process very smooth. Lots of available parking. The room itself definitely could use some updating, clean but dated and worn out. The blankets had noticeable faded spots and was worn thin in several places. As a places for only a one night stay it was sufficient and they allowed my two dogs without extra fees. I would stay again but only for a night or two.

The front desk associates are friendly and work efficiently checking you in. They have recharged my door key card a couple times since my stay began. The parking lot is kept clean, the grass, trees and plants look like spring. Nice front loading Spreed Queen washers are only $2.50 a load.The dryers also $2.50 a load are front load gas dryers that run 60 minutes per cycle

Great atmosphere quiet and cool. Great rates and plenty of parking free coffee there’s an area for pets and a walking trail behind the motel. Newer rooms with up to date equipment and plenty of plugs for phones etc. I definitely recommend using this hotel

I was not thrilled with the location. Nothing like the picture shown. Backs onto the freeway so there’s that noise. But I was tired and just wanted to get some rest. I got to my room, which was clean, and as I pulled back the sheets to lay down discovered scattered hair throughout. I asked for another room which was not a problem. But then as I pulled covers back, found hair again. At this point, I just asked for a refund, which was not a problem, front desk was very apologetic and nice about it.

Front desk staff was very friendly, but other than that things were pretty rough. The bed was almost like sleeping on a rock and my head as almost on the mattress even with both pillows. Lots of loud people outside and front doors slamming through the night. Would’ve definitely rated it higher if it wasn’t $130/night, since the other stuff is expected from a motel 6.

Booked a non-smoking room due to my parent's respiratory issues. When we arrived the room was thick with a smoke smell. The person at the front desk came to check it out and said it did indeed smell like smoke, and that sometimes people "just smoke in a non-smoking room" and that "it happens". After offers to spray the room with some scented spray (which wouldn't do anything except mask the smell), we were given the option of a refund if we chose a different place to stay the following night. Unfortunately other hotels in the area were either unavailable or $250 considering the short notice. My parent decided to stay and said he was offered a slight discount, but it was a disappointing experience overall and I will probably not be booking here next time.

Easy check in and check out process, but the bed/pillows were extremely uncomfortable. Some of the lights (next to the TV) did not work so it felt dark in the room, and the remote did not work as well so we had to use the switch on the TV to turn it on/off/switch channels.

the room that I got was one of the ones they have on the back there was a terrible cigarette smell in my room even though I requested non smoking room. The floor was a little sticky.on my way out I can smell my clothes smelling like cigarettes. And the guy on the front desk was friendly.

Toilets don’t work for a couple of days after certain time and nearby hotel mates have similar issues. Also when you call the front desk, no one picks up the phone and I called numerous times of the day to get room change or to fix their toilet.

If you have a dedicated house keeping crew, your room will be clean. If you have a dedicated front desk crew, you will have a no-hassles check in, and so on and so forth. This describes motel 6 San Diego north perfectly. A special shout out to Cindy at the front desk; she’s one of a kind!

The front office clerk needs to improve her customer service skills. The clerk had an attitude when I asked questions. The room had spiders and other insects. When I asked to get another room, the clerk said they didn’t have another one available and didn’t want to help in any other way. All the clerk said was “you can talk to the manager” which he was not on the property or available.

DO NOT BOOK HERE. There was an incident which caused danger to my family. They called front desk after someone was trying to kick their door down and nobody came. My family was there for. 3 hours ONLY. And had to check out after only 3 hours due to the danger and scary situation. They have denied our refund although no rooms were used overnight. DO NOT DO NOT DO NOT BOOK HERE.

Nice and small motel tucked away behind a Korean all you can eat buffet. There are also several other restaurants nearby, such as Aladdin or Ma's House. Havana Grill is one of the few Cuban restaurants. Pets are welcome, unlike at Pleasant Inn next door or California Suites. There are some strange characters but keep in mind this is one of the most central locations to the entire city, and near businesses as well as excellent Asian food.

Not sure if mgr is at fault. However, the room was located in a sketchy part. Which was made worse with homeless shopping g carts literally right I front of the room. Even though you are close to a freeway, the room I had did face away from the freeway and was rather quiet. The room was clean and the furniture looked relatively new. The only thing that was missing in the room was a chair for the desk should you ever need to use it for work. Something like that you could easily ask for from the front desk. But since it was only for a night, it was hardly worth the bother. But beyond that, definitely a comfy place to rest.

The hotel is located right off the freeway exit and it was the closest hotel to my appointment I had the next day. It’s 15 minutes away from LaJolla if you’re looking to hit the beach. The room was small but had everything you need fridge TV free Wi-Fi and table area. As far as the location it’s a bit shady definitely not the Hilton but for a night sleep over it worked for me. The price was a great value for what you get. No breakfast only coffee available in the lobby

Great motel with friendly staff. The front desk staff is very quick to respond when I enter to extend my stay/get my key card updated. There is a Korean Barbeque Buffef All You Can Eat right next door that brings in the folks at dinner tine. It’s a sure winner!

Nice and small motel tucked away behind a Korean all you can eat buffet. There are also several other restaurants nearby, such as Aladdin or Ma's House. Havana Grill is one of the few Cuban restaurants. Pets are welcome, unlike at Pleasant Inn next door or California Suites. There are some strange characters but keep in mind this is one of the most central locations to the entire city, and near businesses as well as excellent Asian food.

Quick stay. Great if you need to spot a crash. Freeway close. Close to restaurants. Nice room. Clean, but had to kill a giant black widow spider that crawled out from shower curtain to check me out while in the bathroom.😳Staff seem like they need a vacation.

I requested for an early check-in, upon arrival I was told that there were no room available. That it would take probably about 30-40 min. 35 min later room is ready, it was a very hot day go inside turn on the AC, and barely threw any cold air out. It was broken in some places.

I would never go to this property again. I have photos. The paint was chipping off the floor in the bathroom 100% of the surface. The mini refrigerator was on the floor next to the bathroom which required you to open the bathroom to open the refrigerator. Internet access was spotty at best. The remote control for the TV was taped together with duct tape, and the Dish TV was so fuzzy that you couldn't see what was on. The top to the toilet was from another toilet much bigger than the one in the room and you had to reach under the oversized top to reach the handle to flush. The air conditioning was very loud and with the people next door, I could smell the marijuana every time they would smoke very heavy in the room. Speaking of others, the people next to me and above me were up all night and you could hear drug deals going down all night long with the same code being knocked on the door all night. There were a large amount of homeless people in the parking lot and going up and down the stairs once the sun went down. The bed spread was "sticky" and I pulled it off as soon as I could. The bed itself was so hard the it would not sink an inch when you sat on it. It was like laying on plywood. There was no place to even put your toothbrush down when you went to brush your teeth and the plumbing was all exposed under the sink. This place made a living off of renting to the shady parts of life. Never, I mean Never take a wife and NEVER expose children to this place. Run! Run! Run!
