Palazzo Rosenthal Vesuview Hotel & Resort

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The shuttle to and from the station was a blessing. The pool was an added bonus at the end of a hot day. Nothing seemed too much trouble for them. Beds were comfy, rooms were a good size and views were outstanding.

Had garden view room with a nice balcony. Pool was refreshing and clean, with Thomazo at pool side bar service. Lemon trees growing all around boasting fragance. Included breakfast was lovely to enjoy along with the views. Lots of parking available. Front desk staff and housekeeping were great!

Five nights.. clean, spacious rooms and friendly and accommodating staff. However, one big problem: this hotel has a ‘banquet’ room where 4 out of the five nights we were there, parties were going on with loud booming music, loud fue and sometimes children playing and shouting in the parking lot and around the hotel. Sleep was impossible during this time.

This was a good, 4-star yet affordable resort-style hotel. The rooms were fine, minor plumbing problems were promptly fixed. Our only issues were the pool hours (closed for siesta in the afternoon, and early in the evening) and the hotel restaurant was kind of expensive, so we mostly walked to a good local restaurant that was more reasonably priced. The included buffet breakfast at the hotel was excellent, I must say, and the staff were very helpful and attentive, even bringing an urn of fresh coffee & fixings to our table once they realized we drank a lot of coffee in the morning.

Very helpful and curteous staff, ample parking and very good facilities - swimming pool, sunbeds etc. Great location for both Pompei and Vesuvius, 25 min from naples airport and 50 min from Sorrento. Amazing views of Naples and Mt Vesuvius.

We were only there one night because we had an early flight out of Naples, and wanted to stay closer to the airport without being in Naples proper. The property is gorgeous. We didn't realize that you really can't walk in the area (no sidewalks, walls on the side of the road meaning you have to walk on the road proper). The day we were there they were hosting both a wedding and a kids birthday party, so there was limited staff to assist us. Others have talked about a pool bar; it was not open, so no cocktails around the pool. Eventually we got a waiter from the restaurant to provide us with some Prosecco. We ended up eating both lunch and dinner there, with the same menu. We had two people with fish allergies, and another two with nut allergies (not intolerances, anaphylactic shock types of allergies). There were limited items on the menu for them, and at dinner they actually brought us a platter of meats and fishes on the same platter, so people couldn't eat it. Again, I temper all of this with the fact that we were there for less than 24 hours, so we weren't (nor should we have been) a priority, but we did regret that this was our last night in Italy.

Incredible staff & incredible views. We loved our stay here. The room was not very clean & had some broken furniture I think. But it had all the basics and I would certainly stay here again.

I was disappointed from the moment I arrived. We only spent one night there and arrived fairly late (after 10 PM). We received our room card and were shown the breakfast time but nothing else. We had no wifi information and did not feel welcomed. When we arrived in the room, it was extremely hot and filled with mosquitoes. Understanding the fact that we were close to Mount Vesuvius, we decided to turn on the air and hope for the best. But we started noticing that the room just look dirty. There were spiderwebs on the ceiling, the sheets were ripped and there was a lot of dirt behind the curtains. The curtains were also stained. You will notice on the pictures uploaded. We only had a few hours before catching our return flight to the states so we decided to push through the night. The AC never seem to kick in, very disappointing. Then we turned on the shower, it was supposed to be a rain shower but we turned it on and a stream of water poured out of the shower right over the glass, so I guess it was broken. We ended up showering with the handheld instead. The one thing I want to highlight is the amazing customer service from an older gentleman in the breakfast area. We did not have breakfast, but ran in there to grab some coffee before heading out and he was the only person in the hotel to welcome us with a smile. He kept offering his service and asking us to eat something. He even waved us goodbye as we left.

Bei Abholung vom Flughafen (90 €) sollte ich das Parkticket bezahlen (4 Euro), der Fahrer fuhr whatsappbedienend und telefonierend über die Straßen und war nur auf Trinkgeld aus. Im Hotel sehr netter Empfang, sehr nette Rezeptionsmitarbeiter. Zimmer: das nicht schöne Standardzimmer (die Fotos auf der Webseite sollten angeglichen werden, die schönen in Rottönen gehaltenen Zimmer sind nicht Standard!), lieblos in depressivem grau, Kühlschrank brummte zu laut, sehr viele Fugen in der Dusche verschimmelt, Putzleistung eher der Marke "schnell schnell" obwohl Hotel nicht ausgebucht. Ansonsten Restaurant, Rezeption und bar eher edler Eindruck. Lage: Landschaftlich schöne, Ausblick zum Vesuv und zum Meer (Vom Restaurant aus), aber Anbindung an den ÖPNV eher schlecht, Bus fährt nur einmal die Stunde, zum Bahnhof kann man sich aber kostenlos jede halbe Stunde bringen lassen (Vorsicht, je nach Fahrer Trinkgelderwartung, sonst gibt es am anderen Tag das ranzige Auto), darf dann jedoch abends zurücklaufen (2 km) Hervorzuheben sind allerdings der nette Koch(?) morgens, die Rezeptionisten und Tomaso, der unschlagbar nette Restaurantkellner. Frühstück überschaubar, aber ausreichend,war halt nicht ausgebucht, vielleicht gibt es dann mehr. Pool: leider wetterbedingt nicht genutzt, Nutzzeit bis 17 Uhr auch etwas knapp bemessen, wenn man erst noch etwas anderes unternimmt. Eher etwas für Touristen mit eigenem Wagen, und besser das etwas teurere Zimmer der besseren Kategorie buchen.

Dadurch war es im Zimmer durchgehend sehr warm ( > 27 Grad) und es war nicht möglich, sich längere Zeit entspannt im Zimmer aufzuhalten oder gut zu schlafen (und das bei nur 23 Grad Außentemperatur). Wir haben insgesamt 4 Mal darum gebeten, das zu prüfen und die Klimaanlage auf eine kalte Temperatur einzustellen. Jedes Mal wurde uns versichert, dass die Klimaanlage gleich funktionieren würde. Das ist jedoch nie passiert. Somit haben wir 2 Nächte schlecht geschlafen und beim Aufenthalt im Zimmer durchgehend geschwitzt. Leider konnten wir auch nicht mit offenen Fenstern schlafen, da sich hunderte Insekten aufgrund der lange eingeschalten Außenbeleuchtung direkt von unserem Fenster auf unseren Balkon versammelt haben. Das Zimmer ist insgesamt alt und renovierungsbedürftig. Im Zimmer sind diverse Wände kaputt und im Bad ist Schimmel. Im Zimmer leuchtet eine Lampe über der Tür so hell, dass man eine Schlafmaske zum schlafen benötigte. Das Frühstück ist schrecklich. Kaffee aus einer Thermoskanne Italien?? Es gibt wenig Auswahl beim Essen und die Speisen waren wenig oder gar nicht gewürzt. Es gab fast kein Gemüse, kaum Obst und insgesamt eine eher schlechte Auswahl. Pool: Es gab insgesamt noch 4 Liegen, mit uns waren allerdings 6 Gäste am Pool, sodass die Kinder der andern Gäste keine eigene Liege hatten. Das einzig gute an dem Hotel ist die Aussicht.

Firstly, the staff, on reception, the cleaners, the waiter, were excellent the hotel was extremely clean and tidy. We had a meal at the hotel one night and the waiter again was excellent, as were the reception staff who were extremely helpful. What let the hotel down were the facilities we had ongoing problems with the air conditioning. The bathroom was tired looking and the genera decor of the room was poor and I felt unworthy of the four star grade. This hotel could receive better reviews if the facilities matched the excellent service of the staff.

Hotellet låg fint i dalen och foten av berget i ett lugnt område. Fint hotell, kändes fräscht överlag och personalen var otroligt trevliga alla dagar och tider på dygnet. Dock hade det önskats att man dammsög golvet eller torkade av och inte bara bäddade sängarna samt bytte handdukar. I övrigt så var det en toppenupplevelse rakt igenom.

Fiquei muito satisfeito com a experiência neste hotel, equipe atenciosa, ambiente agradável, limpeza dos quartos impecável. Excelente suporte da equipe da recepção para passeios e guias.

The property was very clean and modern, the staff were absolutely lovely and went out of their way to help us and provide a great service

My wife and I stayed here 7 nights.Upon arriving we were greeted by the receptionist and given the key to the room Verde. The room is spacious with a spacious closet, there is a desk that has side drawers great for storing smaller clothing. The bathroom is a good size with a tub, the shower works well with plenty of hot water. The sink area has plenty room for what you need. There is a balcony that overlooks the Bay of Naples on one side and Mt Vesuvius on the other. The property is gorgeous and well maintained. There's a restaurant on site which was convenient for nights we didn't feel like going out. Breakfast was very good and the gentleman that staffed the area went up and beyond to make you feel at home. If I was to return to the area this would be my choice of hotel.

Bel hôtel avec piscine, agréable poir une fin de journée apres avoir déambulé dans les ruines de Pompei. Chambre agréable et propre. Un bémol : nous étions trois, et le lit pour notre grande fille était un lit pliant disposé au pied de notre lit double par manque de place. Une vraie chambre pour trois avec un vrai lit aurait été appréciable dans un établissement qui se réclame 4 étoiles...

The staff was amazing and went out of their way to accommodate us. Giovanni, the manager , served us and suggested entrees. While the menu is not extensive the daily specials are fresh. The room was spacious and the facilities are well kept. We would definitely stay here again if in the area

Vi hade en trevlig vistelse. Resturangen och servicen var fantastisk. Även poolområdet var mycket fint och utsikten mot vesuvius magnifik. Rummet hade dock mått bra av en uppdatering.

Clean bedroom but the flat bottom sheet was not big enough for the bed and moved around a lot. Aircon was difficult to use and very loud. Dominica on Reception was kind and helpful. Giovanni provided a wonderful, smiling taxi service and the best cappuccino! The breakfast was somewhat disappointing. The hotel was very isolated and as it was on a main road with no pavements, you could not walk anywhere safely.

When the balcony of your panoramic room/floor has views on one side to Vesuvius and the coast down to Sorrento, overlooking Capri on the other, you know you’ve chosen a great hotel. Staff just lovely; prices much in keeping with 4* peers. Pool refreshingly cool & location handy for both Ercolano & Pompeii

Comfortable hotel with great views of Mount Vesuvius. Friendly and very helpful staff, and a nice breakfast. Owner always seemed to be around making sure everything ran smoothly, which it certainly seemed to. Fairly upmarket restaurant which our kids didn't fancy, but there was a great pizza place a few minutes walk away.

Absolutely amazing experience. The property is in a great, very accessible location. Has spectacular views, outstanding food, and every member of the staff went above and beyond to make our stay memorable, it was one of the single best experiences of my life and I will be returning at my earliest possible opportunity. The staff were very friendly and helpful and nothing was too much trouble. The hotel was very clean and well maintained, breakfast and evening meals were of a high standard. Very little around the hotel without a 25 minute walk to the local train station although they offer a shuttle service if required. Would definitely consider staying there again as it was far enough away from the hustle and bustle of the busy areas yet close enough to get to any of the sights without too much trouble. Staff were able to arrange trips to all the major sights. Had a fantastic stay. Would definitely recommend.

We had an amazing stay. The hotel was lovely and the staff were the best. Could not fault them throughout the stay. They were friendly and extremely helpful constantly ferrying us back and fore to the train station!! Highly recommended. Special shout out to Dario (my personal favourite) Antonio and Giovanni. Bel hôtel dans un environnement assez sale, comme partout à Torre del Greco. Les rues aux alentours sont jonchées d immondices . Cela enlève beaucoup du charme. Il est nécessaire d être motorisé afin de profiter au mieux des alentours notamment des restaurants.

This was a very nice property with a great view of Mount Vesuvius and truly caring staff. The hotel is well kept up and the pool was definitely a true bonus . The remote location does present a small problem if you did not arrive with your own car. The nearest train stop is over a mile away, and it is very steep to get there.

The location of the hotel is perfect for exploring Pompeii. The staff went above and beyond all the time to make our stay perfect. The pool was an added bonus after exploring the area.

Wonderfull hotel close to Pompei with free parking! Lovely restaurant serving a Mediterranean menu and they were willing to accommodate my special off menu requests. Very friendly staff.

Attentive staff. Fun & informative wait staff. Good restaurant for dinner and breakfast. Impressive view of the bay and Vesuvius.

Antonio was amazing. He was super helpful and courteous. Breakfast was great. The pool was awesome after long days out exploring. The only I would change is having a few everyday items on the dinner menu.

The property was amazing and the owners and staff were extremely friendly and helpful! Checking in and out was a great experience, very informative and friendly. The breakfast buffet was incredible and with a view of Mt. Vesuvius. We had an evening cocktail out back over looking the pool, too late to see Vesuvius, but the drink was very tasty.

De ligging is niet perfect aangezien je niets op wandelafstand kan doen en de straten waar je door moet met de auto redelijk smal zijn. De accomodatie is wat verouderd maar verder wel verzorgd. De eetzaal/ontbijzaal is binnen in een met glazen deuren omgeven ruimte. Het is niet bepaald gezellig. Je kon ook het ontbijt niet op het terras nemen, ondanks het warme weer. Het diner was niet heel bijzonder (kleine porties) en relatief prijzig. Desserten waren ondermaats.
