Premium price, poor experience: won't be returning** As a Platinum member, I expect a standard that matches the premium rates charged here. The Sebel Byron Bay fell well short on almost every count. **Cleanliness:** The room was not up to standard. For a property at this price point, cleanliness should be the baseline, and it wasn't met. **Condition:** The furniture and rooms are noticeably outdated and tired. They look nothing like what the pricing and the Accor brand suggest. **Noise:** The walls are paper thin. Every sound from neighbouring rooms and the corridors carries through, making it very hard to rest or relax. **Service:** The front office was never manned when I needed assistance, and room service was essentially non-existent. There was no one to turn to when issues came up. For a hotel charging premium rates under the Accor banner, this was disappointing, and as a loyal Platinum member I won't be staying again. I'd urge management to invest in refurbishment, soundproofing and proper staffing before trading on the brand's reputation. **Rating: 1/5**

Stayed for 3 days. Parking was free. Room was clean. Had a huge bathtub, washing machine & dryer and big dining table. Only downside was there was no housekeeping throughout my stay, only provided if staying 4 nights or longer.

Well located with friendly staff and free parking accessible via lift. Had a good stay here but the room was a little noisy. There are sets of “A” and “B” rooms accessible by a common door soi heard my neighbours coming in and out a bit. Apart from the noise, a pleasant stay.

If looking somewhere basic to stay and central then this is ok. But hotel its self is old and needs to be maintained. Rooms are very small. There is a terrible odor in the rooms a mix of chlorine and mould mildew smell. Carpets are stained. Single sofa in room is completely worn and looks like it is ready to fall apart. Water pressure there is none in the shower. Even on full heat and no cold water on. Temp in shower is still warm.

Great location. Big rooms. Generally good place. But … Unclean room. Used undies out on the floor when we entered. Dirty under couches etc. Management didn’t seem too apologetic. Disappointing.
