Had a great stay and would absolutely stay here again. The staff were friendly and genuinely welcoming, especially to my best mate (my black Labrador). Great location and central to restaurants and pubs, along with beach nearby (great dog beach too!). The only suggestion would be to have a hose somewhere outside (near pool are maybe?) for washing your dog down after a swim at the beach. Great stay and very much enjoyed the hospitality. Even spotted Starlink flying overhead - thanks for the show!

It’s a great location, but these are not boutique and cleanliness and maintenance is an issue. The lift was out of order meaning we had to carry cases to the second floor. The staff were friendly and accomodating.

We stayed in a one bed apartment. On our arrival we were greeted by probably the most sincere young man who went out of his way to answer all questions ie regarding recommending a good place to eat and as we were also towing a decent sized boat we asked if where we had parked it overnight was relatively safe. Well he quickly said it could be but it would be much safer right out the front of the apartments ie at the door. We said we did look at that but the vehicle will not fit as the bins for collection would prevent us. Oh no problem he sorted this all out insisted we get our vehicle and hitched boat and then said now you can see your boat from your balcony. Amazing! and genuine best ever reception person we have ever met on our many travels. 20 out of 10 for him.

We were advised the lift was out of order before arriving however little to no help was offered to assist with our bags. The complex itself is very different to the photos online. It’s also extremely noisy - not so much from street noise but other guests. Any noise made in communal areas can clearly be heard from the rooms (we had a group of drunken women the night we stayed and I could clearly hear word for word what they were saying at 3am in the morning). I was also randomly charged $5 after we checked out but received no invoice. Nothing was used in the mini bar. The location is very central

Our stay at Byron Bay Hotel was okay overall. Parking was a bit tricky to find at first, but when we called, reception were very kind and clearly explained where to go. Check-in was smooth and the location is excellent — right in town and just steps from the beach. The room itself felt more like a motel than a hotel, and we would have appreciated brighter rooms and cleaner bathrooms. It was also a bit noisy at times, as sound easily travelled from neighbouring rooms. That said, for the location, it’s still a convenient place to stay for a short visit.

Unfortunately our room was not clean when we arrived. It had been cleaned but wasn’t clean. Things left in the fridge from previous stay. The bathroom door had a lot of dirty hand prints along the side of it. The first night I found a biscuit eaten by a mouse in the cupboard. I reported this to reception and they said it wouldn’t be a mouse. I had to insist they take the room number. The last night another biscuit was eaten by a mouse. Reception again weren’t too concerned about it. I will let my manager know was the comment

The room we were given was #1 on the first floor. The room was in need of an over all cleaning. The furniture was mismatched and worn and appeared as if scavenged from other places. The noise in the hallway all night as people came into the building after hours was a constant source of annoyance every time someone let it slam and woke us up. The small patio area was filthy and unusable. Not what we had expected in Byron Bay and certainly not worth the price paid. The only positive was the location and the friendly desk staff.

Great sized apartments and amazing shower etc but noise insulation isn't great. If your bedroom window is street facing you will hear a lot of car, people and even restaurant music noise so that was a let down for the price paid.

Right in the heart of Byron Bay, stayed two nights and it was a great stay. The room was spacious, bathroom had a shower and bath and the bed was like sleeping on a cloud. Parking was free and in a secure underground carpark and was easy to find. Only downside was noise from the street but what else can you expect from staying in the centre of a busy town. Highly recommend!

The staff were lovely and considerate. The apartment was a good size. Our only issue was the TV. It’s a smart TV but very slow and quite old. Once connected to the wifi, the streaming apps were very slow and kept freezing. Maybe it needs to be upgraded or the internet needs to be faster?

Two nights in the heart of the town. King bed room. Quite small but adequate for a short stay. Says it has a balcony. You can only step out and stand as only big enough to stand. Bed was like a hammock, a little worn out. Room was lovely and quiet. Jetted tub included, however we didn't use it. Area around was perfect. Parking included was fantastic. For $400 per night it could be better.

Very poor stay, room dark, dingy and depressing. My room lost all power (for over an hour) and no one on premises to assist. In the end I received an external call and was told I had to reset the fuse box in the hotel corridor. Brought up my “experience” to the reception staff at check out the following morning and it was ignored. Would never recommend this hotel.

From the moment we arrived the room wasn’t ready on time, the property especially the hallway areas was very dirty with linen baskets/trollies left around, our room was a tiny dingy room with no real natural Light and smelt like it had been used for a commercial kitchen. The entrance way was an adjoining door with appartment 108b and all night the neighbours would slam the doors leave hallway lights on. The blinds in the room weren’t large enough to cover the the windows so all the Fluor lights cleared through our windows all night. The room was small and cramped, and the bed felt like it was 10 years old with both myself and my partner having shocking sleeps all week. We are both very seasoned travellers and we can say we have never been this disappointed in a motel before, I think it’s fair to say we will never be returning to Byron bay Motel and appartments.

The entrance way was an adjoining door with appartment 108b and all night the neighbours would slam the doors leave hallway lights on. The blinds in the room weren’t large enough to cover the the windows so all the Fluor lights cleared through our windows all night. The room was small and cramped, and the bed felt like it was 10 years old with both myself and my partner having shocking sleeps all week. We are both very seasoned travellers and we can say we have never been this disappointed in a motel before, I think it’s fair to say we will never be returning to Byron bay Motel and appartments.

We were advised the lift was out of order before arriving however little to no help was offered to assist with our bags. The complex itself is very different to the photos online. It’s also extremely noisy - not so much from street noise but other guests. Any noise made in communal areas can clearly be heard from the rooms (we had a group of drunken women the night we stayed and I could clearly hear word for word what they were saying at 3am in the morning). I was also randomly charged $5 after we checked out but received no invoice. Nothing was used in the mini bar. The location is very central

We loved being the heart of Byron with the convenience of being able to walk everywhere. Also on-site parking was a plus. Staff were amazing.

Right in the heart of Byron Bay, stayed two nights and it was a great stay. The room was spacious, bathroom had a shower and bath and the bed was like sleeping on a cloud. Parking was free and in a secure underground carpark and was easy to find. Only downside was noise from the street but what else can you expect from staying in the centre of a busy town. Highly recommend!

We loved staying here! We had only expected one balcony so the second was an added treat! Jay at the front desk was super friendly and the location couldn’t be beat, as we were able to walk to the beaches, dining and restaurants. The only negative was it’s above an Asian restaurant so when we checked in the smell of their cooking poured into the common area which wasn’t great. But it’s not all day so that’s a plus. We’d definitely stay there again!

Close to most things, we were going to the Blues Festival for 1 night, it was walking distance to the bus next to Aldi. The only thing was a suggestion to include that you don't offer breakfast in your information folder. There is some options close by which were awesome and to include information about if you leave before they open the office where to leave the tags...I put it under the office door inside.

Great location for exploring Byron without a car and really handy that free parking is included given the local cost of parking. The only thing I would say is that the description of the hotel is a little misleading. I would say that it is a very clean, well equipped hotel and the kitchen is great but it is not what I would describe as “boutique”!

Well located with friendly staff and free parking accessible via lift. Had a good stay here but the room was a little noisy. There are sets of “A” and “B” rooms accessible by a common door soi heard my neighbours coming in and out a bit. Apart from the noise, a pleasant stay.

If looking somewhere basic to stay and central then this is ok. But hotel its self is old and needs to be maintained. Rooms are very small. There is a terrible odor in the rooms a mix of chlorine and mould mildew smell. Carpets are stained. Single sofa in room is completely worn and looks like it is ready to fall apart. Water pressure there is none in the shower. Even on full heat and no cold water on. Temp in shower is still warm.

The Sebel Hotel was excellent. The front desk staff were especially friendly and welcoming, and Marzia has a beautiful smile and wonderful energy that made my stay even more enjoyable. The rooms were very clean, and the housekeeping team did an outstanding job throughout my stay. One of the best features of the hotel is its location—the beach is only a five-minute walk away, and the town center is just around the corner. I also hiked to the lighthouse, which is about a 45-minute walk to the top and well worth it if you’re reasonably fit. The views are spectacular. I would definitely recommend The Sebel Hotel to anyone visiting the area.
