Sea Girt Lodge

Very simple, wonderfully old-school roadside motel 'down the shore'. Reminds of me of the similar places I stayed as a kid, and the experience as an adult was similarly excellent. The SG Lodge has an excellent location and is nicely maintained by the owner/staff. Others might recommend modernizing everything, but that would detract from the charm. Definitely a solid place to stay while in the area.

Very old fashioned “motel”, with drive up to individual units The place is obviously quite old, built in the 50s or 60s, but clean and will maintained for what it is. But the place really reflects his age, with very limited amenities, no RestaurAnt or food,old outdoor unheated pool,no exercise room or really even lobby. Units are clean, but quite basic. Our room was cold, and the wall thermostat didn’t really produce any heat, so we asked for and received an extra blanket! Single amenity was a coffee maker— one for the whole place, located across from the registration desk! Not in the rooms.

We always stay here when visiting family in Brielle. Great price, helpful staff. A good bagel shop across the street.
