Beautiful serene high class property with large clean rooms that have all the amenities to make the stay comfortable. Beds and pillows very comfortable. The gym is higher end than other hotels. Front desk girl was very welcoming. Staff at restaurant also friendly and food was good.

The room itself was neat, clean and comfortable. The property is showing signs of wear. The railings leading to the dining and reception were very rusted out, the elevator carpeting is stained and dirty and needed vacuuming, and the main elevator of the back parking lot has not been working for months so you need to walk all the way around the building to get to a working elevator.

This was the second time I've stayed here - once for a writer's conference and another for a getaway. Gorgeous scenery and grounds. The staff here are amazing. The rooms? Great. But one thing is going to keep bringing down my rating: the broken elevators. Yes - there IS one working elevator, but for a busy weekend (at a conference center?) makes life inconvenient. Last year at the big conference, long lines for getting luggage up - or huffing and puffing at the stairs. This year? STILL not fixed. Come on - it can't be that hard. With another big conference coming up, and several for other groups, they need to know - and the hotel needs to do better. This isn't the Hilton way.

Electrical needs lots of work. Many outlets loose and not working. Plumbing needs work. Rooms need updating. Pool needs to be resurfacing. Hot tub needs to be drained and cleaned. It was green. Walls in the tunnel to the pool were crumbling, and moldy. The gutter system on the outside of the building was falling off. The grounds were beautiful. We were charged way to much for the condition of the hotel!

The layout was confusing. The only parking to our building was out back and you entered through a service door and then took an elevator that you prayed was going to make it to your floor. The pool area needs to be renovated, pool tiles are missing throughout the pool, the spa was not working. I have no idea how AAA gives this hotel a prestige 3 diamond rating, I would give it .5 diamond. The buildings lack maintenance. The overall experience was lacking. The rooms are adequate in comparison to other hotels and there was nothing really great about our stay. The main building is really cool, and some of the grounds are really well kept, but it is not likely a place we would stay again.

The reception building and land around the property are impressive, the staff provided excellent service, however the rooms could use a magic eraser and maintenance needs to provide some TLC to the common areas, ie. elevator.

The setting of the hotel is bucolic. The grounds are well kept. The hotel interior rooms and public sreas have not been well maintained. Hallway carpets are stained and filthy. The grout in the bathroom shower are is stained and has not been cleaned in months. The ground floor elevator was out of order for an extended period. Overall the interior of the hotel requires major updates and a through cleaning.

My fiancé and I booked this trip months ago and drove over an hour to celebrate our anniversary and we booked specifically to recreate our first time staying at the hotel and the Tavern was closed which was the main reason we booked and it was closed!! No credit, no apology, no offer of free breakfast, nothing! We spent over $200 for this experience. Then we discovered blood on our sheets and when we tried to call down to the front desk there was no answer. We paid too much money for this experience and will be asking for our money back!!

The scenery is beautiful, hotel needs a little fresh up/cleaning. Carpets are smelly. Our beds looked like someone has slept in it and they just did the bed, there was hairs and it smells horrible, I ask for another room, it was cleaner. The carpet was old smelly.

From the outside the property grounds and buildings were unique in appearance. Unfortunately it was difficult to determine where to check in and park. There was also limited parking. Our room had a mildew smell and there was, what looked like, black mold on the ceiling in the bathroom and possibly tiny blood spots on the wall paper by the toilet paper holder. One positive is the gentleman that checked us in was very professional and friendly.

Rooms are so dusty! Do you people actually go and look at what housekeeping does? Room smelled musty. It was once a really nice place bit you are not good at keeping it up! Only had one elevator working. I felt for your cleaning staff . I took stairs a few times. Downstairs door to outside was taped where door should lock,and you just pulled door open. Didnt have to use room key to open. So anybody could come in. Lighting out by brick walkway is not very bright. Not happy😒

Very nice place. One set of elevators was out of service which was a little inconvenient. We stayed one night and when we arrived the bar was only open for food. The crab dip and Naan bread was very good! Room was spacious and comfortable. Staff was friendly.

It was really odd, but our room didn't have a desk or a desk chair. That's so strange for a conference center. The hotel also does not have kettles for guests. Also, our toilet's water supply was leaking meaning that the flush tank did not recharge the normal way. We were super busy working and only reported after we left. The property is very pretty, like a college campus.

Great stay in Glen Allen, VA!! Best hotel in the area by far. Bed and pillows were comfortable, bathroom was clean and shiny and decor is updated and modern. Will definitely stay here again.

Check-in is easy, rooms not so easy to find as they're in another building. Hotel is old and smells musty especially in corridors. Rooms are comfortable, quiet and well appointed. Room service is prompt and food delivered hot. The Italian sandwich is very tasty. Staff went out of their way to locate a shower chair for my wife. We will stay again on our next trip.

First time visiting this hotel. Hard to find check in building. The receptionist was rude and impatient with us. She acted like we were a nuisance. The room only had paper cup and temp was hard to adjust. The restaurant was nice, if not pretty pricey The servers were friendly. Very complicated to get on to 295 south. We probably won't stay there again

Staff lacked support. I checked in after having had surgery to get a couple days of peace. I selected an accessible room to make it easier to bath. I called to see about getting my room switched due to the shower flooding the whole bathroom when in use. Also I had to chase down two bugs in the bathroom while in pain. The guy seemed concerned but never sent anyone to my room. Not the experience I expected or thought I had paid for. I will not be staying here ever again!

This hotel served its purpose for a one night stay. A little off the beaten path from hwys, but worth it for the quiet. Restaurant onsite was ok but convenient. Breakfast buffet was not included in cost of stay and started after we already left.

Last minute trip to Richmond Raceway for the Nascar race. Very convenient to the track, about 15minutes through back roads (thank you Waze). Property is amazing!

It's conveniently located in the suburb of Richmond. Easy access to highway. Short drive to botanical garden, Short Pump town center and downtown. The design reminds us of Williamsburg, colonial style, tasteful. We enjoyed our stay.

All around a phenomenal stay. Great staff, great food. Best breakfast I’ve had in years, as well as the bar food and bar. This isn’t a traditional “bar food” everyone thinks of. If you’re in the area please consider stopping by.

My fiancé and I booked this trip months ago and drove over an hour to celebrate our anniversary and we booked specifically to recreate our first time staying at the hotel and the Tavern was closed which was the main reason we booked and it was closed!! No credit, no apology, no offer of free breakfast, nothing! We spent over $200 for this experience. Then we discovered blood on our sheets and when we tried to call down to the front desk there was no answer. We paid too much money for this experience and will be asking for our money back!!

Restaurant was out of many of the items on the menu and wasn't taking orders for entrees at dinner time. Breakfast buffet was overpriced for the food items available. The young lady at the front desk was rude when I asked to keep my bags at the checkout desk to have breakfast.

The property itself was unique, had 3 separate bldgs. Lovely room, good gym, convenient parking, a great buffet breakfast in restaurant, and a separate tavern. Highly recommend.

Beautiful hotel on stunning grounds. Very clean despite being in need of a little maintenance and minor repairs (I am a quality control manager for a general contractor) The food at the Tavern was amazing!

Staff was very nice and helpful, I'm handicapped and require help above and beyond the average guest, and I found them more than willing to help when required. The room was kept exceptionally clean, made up in a timely manner and whenever I encountered staff members they were all helpful and polite. I can't speak to the food and bar as I did not use those facilities. All and all, I would recommend the hotel to all of my friends and family!

The property was beautiful, and I'm sure the buildings were too at one time. When we checked in, the guy working the desk couldn't get the computer working, we spent an hour and 20 minutes standing at the counter, with 8 people behind us, also waiting, and getting almost no answers for anything. We had to change clothes and get ready in the public bathroom, couldn't wait any longer so never got a key to our room. After a 4 hour drive, we waited so long to check in that we were late to our show, missed the first band, and finally got checked in and got a key after the show at 11:30 at night. Our room was clean, but the hallways had trash and cobwebs in the corners and baseboards. The hot tub didn't work, and a couple we met at breakfast said it had been broken for months. The pool was filthy and the breakfast was mediocre at best. They gave us free breakfast to try to make up for check in, had I paid the $46.00 for the 2 of us to have breakfast, I would have been highly disappointed and not eaten there at all. The servers at breakfast were very attentive and polite, so i left them a good tip and a thank you. The parking lot was behind the building and we had to walk all the way around the building to the front door because the outside handle had been torn off the back door, so it can only be opened from the inside. Hilton needs to take their name off this property, its tarnishing their good reputation. Very disappointed in this one.

I love this place. It’s a bit secluded which was nice. We were so tired, we just wanted to get hot showers, food, and crash. The bed was very comfy, the water was hot and room service was excellent. The food was delivered fast and the taste was phenomenal.
