Lovely cosy cottage, excellent enclosed garden for dogs, laundry room very useful,\r some trafic noise but nothing to intrusive, lovely week spent dog walking, relaxing.\r Excellent meal at the royal oak, Winsford and at Reeves in Dunster

On a cold damp December day the cottage was warm welcoming cosy but spacious for 4 adults. The log fire was effective and gave the sitting room a healthy glow! It took me a little while to work out the hob so I was really glad that the instructions were at hand. We appreciated that there was an abundance of really hot water for our showers. We loved to hear the horses trotting past the windows in the morning . The village shop was very helpful, friendly and well stocked good for morning papers. We had a lovely socially distanced meal in the White Horse just in time before the Tier restrictions changed. We managed to dodge the showers and have walks around the valley of the rocks, Watersmeet, Minehead and Selworthy, Tarr Steps and just locally. A very enjoyable week.

Wow what a find, perfect and the welcome items a lovely bonus especially as arrived quite late, cake was delicious. Plenty of information was provided in the folders for what was available in the area. Shame the shop had closed down but new owners hoping to reopen next year around Easter. Short walk to the three eating places in village. Will certainly book again when revisiting the area.

Lovely , cosy , well furnished cottage with all mod cons , situated in a quiet village in the heart of Exmoor . Was pefect for discovering the beautiful surrounding countryside and coast , We were given lovely scones, tea/ coffee , butter and jam on arrival which was a very nice touch . Great having private parking - always a bonus . And also great to have a fully enclosed garden - important as we were travelling with dogs . Had free wi-fi , which is of course essential these days . Ticked all the right boxes , and wouldnt hesitate to go back to Chapel Cottage if we visit the area again .

Exford is a perfect base for exploring Exmoor. Chapel Cottage ticks most of the boxes and it has the added benefit of having it's own private parking.

The cottage was warm, comfortable and very well-equipped. Lovely to have reliable wi-fi and the washing machine was very useful too given the weather we had! And thank you for the gorgeous welcome cake too. Would have no reservations about staying at Chapel Cottage again or recommending it to visitors.

Good size rooms, well located, full selection of kitchen utensils etc. A nice welcome was created by finding fresh flowers on the table, a box of biscuits, tea/coffee and fresh milk. There is a helpful selection of leaflets of local places of interest, many suggested walks and other local information. We would highly recommend Chapel Cottage.

The perfect place to stay while exploring the area as very central, lovely relaxed atmosphere very homely feel. The welcome items are very useful and the cake is delicious, the flowers added to the warm welcome feeling. The activity files were very handy and interesting to look through. Lovely to see the shop has been reopened and stocks so much. Having private parking is a bonus.

It was great that we were able to book this lovely cottage for a 3 night last minute mini-break. A lot of places would only let us book for 7 nights. What a find it was! Booking was easy, good information provided and the cottage was in very good order in a great location. Highly recommended. Thank you.

Chapel cottage was welcoming , spotlessly clean , well equipped and Cosy. The lovely coffee and walnut cake and tea tray was lovely when we arrived. Local shops are friendly and useful for bits and pieces . Great location to access Exmoor and the coast . We had an absolutely fabulous and relaxing holiday .

Chapel Cottage is in an ideal location to explore Exmoor and surrounding area. Exford is a lovely village with plenty of local walks, two dog friendly pubs and local shop. The cottage was clean and very comfortable. It had ample space for us including the dog. Good facilities and well equipped kitchen. Lovely cake and welcome tray.

The cottage was warm and welcoming on a dark winters evening. It was well equipped and exceeded our expectations.\r We loved the space, the decor and the way it was dressed. We particularly liked the kitchen/dining room and the super king-sized bed along with the space in the bathroom.\r The village location was excellent for a base from which to explore Exmoor. The Doone valley re-kindled childhood memories. The deer on the moor were awesome. The locals everywhere we went were very friendly and welcoming. We’d love to return. 👍

This was our first time staying in Chapel cottage. We loved the cosy, yet spacious cottage. Our well behaved dog was happy to sleep downstairs in the dining room, overlooking the beautiful suntrap patio! With regards to cottage, there are a few little things! The water pressure isn't very good, so if you're used to a power shower, please note that it won't deliver! We visited Dunster beach, Minehead, Ilfracombe, Lynton and Lynmouth, Hunters Inn, Woolacombe beach, Porlock and walked lots on Exmoor. We recommend The White Horse in the village for good food and if you want to travel further The Black Venus in Challacombe is absolutely fabulous! We hope to be back later in the year!

This is my third time of staying at chapel cottage and it never fails to deliver for comfort, it’s location is the best I think on Exmoor as your central for most places and with 2 great pubs on your door step and a shop opening in the spring. Highly recommend.

Comfy cottage. Appreciated the tea and cake after a 6 hour journey. Lovely area to explore with plenty of walks locally. Excellent village shop. Tarr steps and Dunkery beacon well worth a visit and on the doorstep. Delicious fish and chips from White horse inn. Would definitely stay again. Just one thing to be aware of one of our dogs jumped over the wall at the bottom of the courtyard onto the village green, luckily we realised before he got onto the road. All in all a lovely holiday.

The cottage was clean and very comfortable. It had ample space for us including the dog. Good facilities and well equipped kitchen. Lovely cake and welcome tray.
Chapel Cottage is in an ideal location to explore Exmoor and surrounding area. Exford is a lovely village with plenty of local walks, two dog friendly pubs and local shop. The cottage is super comfortable and very cool even during the recent heatwave. It had everything we needed. Exford is gorgeous. Both local pubs are great for an evening drink and the shop very useful. We had our last night meal at The Crown and the food was truly excellent. A visit to Porlock Weir to sample the delicious oysters is a must as is a visit to Watersmeet. Exmoor is the perfect holiday destination and this cottage is a great base from which to explore.

Exford is a perfect base for exploring Exmoor. Chapel Cottage ticks most of the boxes and it has the added benefit of having it's own private parking.

We loved the location of this cottage. A really sweet place with a great playground. The cottage was decorated for Christmas which was a lovely touch. Pubs nearby too. The only thing missing was a shop but hopefully that will reopen one day! We had everything we needed and plenty of room.

Chapel Cottage is in a lovely village on Exmoor. Very friendly service in the White Horse and the Village Stores. Off road parking is a bonus. Great base for walking on Exmoor.

This is my third time of staying at chapel cottage and it never fails to deliver for comfort, it’s location is the best I think on Exmoor as your central for most places and with 2 great pubs on your door step and a shop opening in the spring. Highly recommend.

This was our first time staying in Chapel cottage. We loved the cosy, yet spacious cottage. Our well behaved dog was happy to sleep downstairs in the dining room, overlooking the beautiful suntrap patio! With regards to cottage, there are a few little things! The water pressure isn't very good, so if you're used to a power shower, please note that it won't deliver! We visited Dunster beach, Minehead, Ilfracombe, Lynton and Lynmouth, Hunters Inn, Woolacombe beach, Porlock and walked lots on Exmoor. We recommend The White Horse in the village for good food and if you want to travel further The Black Venus in Challacombe is absolutely fabulous! We hope to be back later in the year!

Lovely cosy cottage, excellent enclosed garden for dogs, laundry room very useful, some trafic noise but nothing to intrusive, lovely week spent dog walking, relaxing. Excellent meal at the royal oak, Winsford and at Reeves in Dunster
