The LIFESTYLE Resort Zum Kurfürsten markets itself as a premier wellness resort – unfortunately, our stay has been anything but relaxing. Most of the staff is either extremely unfriendly or clueless, our room was too noisy to sleep (despite asking for a quiet room when making the reservation, we were place directly next to their busy restaurant), the saunas are either too cold or far too hot (110 C) to be enjoyable, and the neighbors / guests with balconies facing the spa can enjoy a full view on the FKK (textile-free) area. For the hefty price tag, we were bitterly disappointed. For the same amount of money, one could book a (much nicer) boutique hotel along the river, have a spa day at one of the nearby wellness / pools, and get a nice local dinner out (which is what we will be doing in the future).
