Great place to stay. I liked the food and the staff, very friendly. However, the local vendors can be a little aggressive and intimidating. They had events nightly on the resort so really no need to leave resort. Ran into some minor issue with Wi-Fi and room selections. Overall I would definitely return, minus the bees and flies.

We had an amazing stay at this resort. The place was clean and VERY well kept. Staff was plentiful and all made sure that we were comfortable and happy. Rooms were good size and supplied with drinking water, refrigerator, safe, etc. The food was all-inclusive including alcoholic beverages. Breakfast, lunch, dinner, BBQ, all served on time with lots of choices. There were seven of us with different tastes, allergies, and dietary requirements and the menu met all of them. They served plenty of fresh fruit, egg free breads/desserts (a couple of people in our group could not have eggs and were happy to see a choice of items without them), meat choices, and vegetarian dishes as well. Fresh juices with every meal (pineapple being my favorite). There’s a pizza station, ice cream station, and a bar near one of the many pools. The grounds were well kept, pool kept clean, water aerobics sessions were fun, and nightly entertainment, along with a beautiful beach. This is not a new property but WE ENJOYED ourselves and would return. Also, treat yourself to a “four hands body massage “ where two massage therapist work on you at the same time- WONDERFUL!!!

The hotel is alright,maybe not 4 stars,more like 3. Pools were quite dirty,the water was greyish ( you couldn't see the bottom) and they let people swim with clothes on(!),someone even had shoes on while swimming. Food was ok..not a lot options for children at the dinner. At the dinner many times we got our drinks after we've already eaten,so quite slow service. Evening entertainment was really nice and fun. Room was okay,some parts of the room oldish but the bed was good. We got one big problem when the hotel let scam taxi driver in to the hotel,who lied about being our ordered driver. So we got up for wrong taxi who wanted us to pay when we discovered he was not our driver. We was able to sorted out but the hotel should pay more attention who they let inside the hotel.

Our stay at southern palms resort was nothing short of amazing! The resort is beautiful with big pools and is located right at the beach front. Our room was big and spacious always kept neat by our lovely housekeeper Veronica. The staff at the hotel are such lovely genuine people. Everyone made us feel right at home, starting from the manager daisy who even gave us her personal contact to call her if we needed anything at any time. Elisha the bartender at the beach bar kept our drinks flowing and made sure to have conversation with each person sitting at the bar. The food was fantastic. I must recommend the bbq restaurant which had a wide selection for us meat lovers. I will definitely visit again soon!

- Wifi was unreliable - had to ask for fresh towels for my room. Otherwise I assume the expect you to reuse the same one. -Appearance of the bedroom was a bit deceptive compared to pictures on websites. - Friendly staff they were awesome, helpful and trustworthy. - Not a good location for a young couple (35/48 we found the entertainment Boring and like child’s play) Good location for those with children. -Stained bed sheets were disturbed, pen marks, dried blood etc. -Food was good but redundant. -No iron in the bedrooms, staff will assist you with ironing for a fee. At the end of the day, I wouldn’t book again. It just wasn’t a fin time for me.

The exterior and common areas are nice but the hotel is dirty. All coushions in common areas are stained and clearly dirty. The room was extremely humid and smelled like mold, which was clearly visible in the shower. With the excellent of maybe 3 staff members out of maybe 10+ that I came in contact with, were friendly. Everyone else seemed bothered when asked for help, especially the staff at the general dining area. The exterior is nice but not worth the stay. This property is also far from the main beach area with nearby restaurants so research the area before booking.

This was a beautiful resort. The pools and grounds were well maintained. There was abundant staff and all were welcoming. We felt very safe at this resort and well taken care of. The food selection was good and they had many different options available. The only thing I didn't care for was the people asking to buy products while relaxing on the beach. There likely isnt much the resort can do about this and there was security around, but it didnt feel relaxing to be asked to go shop when you just wanted to listen to the ocean waves. Just noting for others to be aware of this. I would highly recommend this resort and the ocean front room was beautiful!

The property is nice with good food options for vegetarians. However, it needs some renovation as the rooms and washroom fittings are pretty old. During our stay, they started painting the outer walls of the building that was a bit inconvenient.

Resort had positives and negatives. Encountered wi-fi issues for 6 days before they sorted it out. The cupboards in the room did not shut, and the todt seat was loose but fixed eventually. Food generally was good on a half board basis. The staff were the resl stars of this resort. The beach setting is trully amazing. I would say the owners need to make investment into the property to stay competitive.

Beautiful location with a stunning beach but properly needs a little updating here and there. The internet was terrible so I would not recommend to anyone who is going to throw in some work time or anything that requires a steady network. Food was not bad and service was good otherwise.

Our stay at southern palms resort was nothing short of amazing! The resort is beautiful with big pools and is located right at the beach front. Our room was big and spacious always kept neat by our lovely housekeeper Veronica. The staff at the hotel are such lovely genuine people. Everyone made us feel right at home, starting from the manager daisy who even gave us her personal contact to call her if we needed anything at any time. Elisha the bartender at the beach bar kept our drinks flowing and made sure to have conversation with each person sitting at the bar. The food was fantastic. I must recommend the bbq restaurant which had a wide selection for us meat lovers. I will definitely visit again soon!

We had an amazing stay at this resort. The place was clean and VERY well kept. Staff was plentiful and all made sure that we were comfortable and happy. Rooms were good size and supplied with drinking water, refrigerator, safe, etc. The food was all-inclusive including alcoholic beverages. Breakfast, lunch, dinner, BBQ, all served on time with lots of choices. There were seven of us with different tastes, allergies, and dietary requirements and the menu met all of them. They served plenty of fresh fruit, egg free breads/desserts (a couple of people in our group could not have eggs and were happy to see a choice of items without them), meat choices, and vegetarian dishes as well. Fresh juices with every meal (pineapple being my favorite). There’s a pizza station, ice cream station, and a bar near one of the many pools. The grounds were well kept, pool kept clean, water aerobics sessions were fun, and nightly entertainment, along with a beautiful beach. This is not a new property but WE ENJOYED ourselves and would return. Also, treat yourself to a “four hands body massage “ where two massage therapist work on you at the same time- WONDERFUL!!!

Service and friendliness was top notch. We had a few issues with the room being ready for us on arrival but this was remedied and we thoroughly enjoyed the stay. They catered to our two 8month old twins with each meal and provided plenty of gluten free options for me.

Great place to stay. I liked the food and the staff, very friendly. However, the local vendors can be a little aggressive and intimidating. They had events nightly on the resort so really no need to leave resort. Ran into some minor issue with Wi-Fi and room selections. Overall I would definitely return, minus the bees and flies.

The exterior and common areas are nice but the hotel is dirty. All coushions in common areas are stained and clearly dirty. The room was extremely humid and smelled like mold, which was clearly visible in the shower. With the excellent of maybe 3 staff members out of maybe 10+ that I came in contact with, were friendly. Everyone else seemed bothered when asked for help, especially the staff at the general dining area. The exterior is nice but not worth the stay. This property is also far from the main beach area with nearby restaurants so research the area before booking.

The grounds were well kept, pool kept clean, water aerobics sessions were fun, and nightly entertainment, along with a beautiful beach. This is not a new property but WE ENJOYED ourselves and would return. Also, treat yourself to a “four hands body massage “ where two massage therapist work on you at the same time- WONDERFUL!!!
We had an amazing stay at this resort. The place was clean and VERY well kept. Staff was plentiful and all made sure that we were comfortable and happy. Rooms were good size and supplied with drinking water, refrigerator, safe, etc. The food was all-inclusive including alcoholic beverages. Breakfast, lunch, dinner, BBQ, all served on time with lots of choices. There were seven of us with different tastes, allergies, and dietary requirements and the menu met all of them. Service and friendliness was top notch. We had a few issues with the room being ready for us on arrival but this was remedied and we thoroughly enjoyed the stay. They catered to our two 8month old twins with each meal and provided plenty of gluten free options for me.

The hotel was really beautiful, with great facilities, lovely staff, and an absolutely stunning beach — actually the most beautiful beach I have ever been to. We really liked the rooms. They were well maintained, but due to the humidity in the climate, there was some wear and tear, which is to be expected in this kind of environment. We stayed there at the beginning of the rainy season, which made the experience feel even more special. It almost felt as if the entire hotel and all the staff were there just for us. The staff were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and service-minded. The only thing I would rate slightly lower was the food in the all-inclusive package. The Indian dishes were absolutely delicious, but surprisingly, the local food was not as flavorful. That said, everything was clean, tidy, and very hygienic. The fruit station was especially lovely. All in all, we had a very pleasant and relaxing stay, and the hotel gave us a truly wonderful holiday experience.

Staff were amazing and so friendly, the hotel was immaculate and always staff cleaning. Would definitely recommend this hotel. Food all amazing quality and great places to eat. Pools were amazing and so big! Love to come back again! The rooms were gorgeous as well!

Great location. Not the friendliest staff when we visited, and the resort could do with a little more TLC in places, but a pleasant stay regardless. But we had a wonderful time. The Valentine's special was a rip off considering it was 90% the same food as the all-inclusive menu we had already paid for.

In particular, there were several people that went above and beyond to include Sabina and Catherine in the dining hall; bartender Paul and multiple other drink servers; and managers Mercer and Defence. I was also impressed with the Spa, in so much I had four spa services. Although the spa is somewhat small for a resort this size, that didn’t take away from the professionalism and expert services demonstrated by Berniece (I believe that’s her name) and Vivian. A major observation I have is that I strongly encourage management to have hand sanitizer accessible for employees and guest throughout the resort specifically in the dining hall, and where food is served for obvious hygienic reasons.
