The elevator shafts had no air-conditioning in July...in Texas. When I ordered an omelet for breakfast, I was given an omelet that was so burnt, the edges were literally, ash. I took one bite and sent it back. They replaced it with no fuss but I could not believe that the cook would send it out or that the server would actually take it to the table.

The hot tub was out of service, but the front desk comped us with a free breakfast. The indoor pool and Spa was one of the reasons we booked. The scenic view is amazing. The hotel serves breakfast and dinner. Local shopping and restaurants are nearby.

Overall, very good hotel in a great location. All ice machines were out, so inconvenient to get ice, although they got it for you quickly. They need to simplify breakfast options. They explained it several times and I'm still not exactly sure what the difference between the options are. To-go, Buffet and Order off a Menu. I have no idea what the To-go menu was. Never saw it and was never offered the option. The Buffet was not a buffet. You ordered off a menu for the main courses (except you could only get scrambled eggs) and fruit, toast, cereal, etc. was setup for a buffet (serve yourself). It was the same menu for Order off a Menu. Only one waitress, one cook and a lot of confusion. Took way too long to get the meal after ordering, which was not timely either. It is a shame because this could really be a great hotel, but based on the price per night, does not meet expectations.

Not enough lighting, very dark, other than the bathroom and very minimal areas for storage. Neither elevator worked day of checkout so difficult exit for us due to husband’s disability. Probably will not stay there again

Great location on the water, spacious lobby. Nice pool for the kids. Great place to stay, especially if you have big groups, We come here every year for Fourth of July and we will continue to do so

I would stick with Comfort Inn or Lake View Inn when staying in Granbury. We ordered breakfast and the french toast was super soggy and undercooked. The hot tub wasn’t hot and the pool was dirty.

The room was not clean. The surfaces looked like they were wiped with a dirty towel, the flooring had evidence of previous occupants such as hair and nail clippings, and the bedding was stained. Even the lobby and other common areas looked like they had not been cleaned for a few days. We were ver disappointed with this hotel.

We were very disappointed the hot tub was out of order One of the reasons we booked this hotel indoor hot tub to relax as a couple No breakfast- they charge you $15.50 for a standard breakfast that usually comes free with most hotels The shower had black mildew / mold which was not a common thing for a Hilton property Shower head leaking not much pressure The bathroom was pretty much clean to Hilton standards The lake views were amazing The fire pit was nice outside Garden room had beautiful views of lake Granbury The location was awesome Close to market square

The Executive Suite was not cleaned properly, dirty toilet, bathtub, and mirrors, dust on the lamps and tv. The housekeeping kept knocking at the door before our time to check out. The stuff at the reception was very kind and caring, and understanding.

Check in clerk was friendly and bar tender was nice. Enjoyed the "trial" smash burger. I'd suggest the patties be way thinner and the onions be sliced a lot thinner, but overall it was delicious! The manager was not only unfriendly but unhelpful. Room was bad. When we walked in it smelt like stinky feet. Access to the bathroom was very hard because the doors to the bathroom and the room would collide so you couldn't have them open at the same time. Bed was uncomfortable pillows were terrible and the shades are absolutely useless. There's a light that shines into the bedroom that these thin little shades do not block and it is bright all night long. Will not stay here again.

Was told by the hotel that they reserve the better rooms (nicer view, easier access) for people who don't book through Expedia. Was given an ADA room that couldn't close the drapes for privacy or to darken the room. Was folks afterward that there was a switch they failed to tell us about. Check in clerk was rude.

The hotel is in a great location, and our room (large, with a sitting area) had a wonderful view of the lake. It was quite comfortable, except for lumpy pillows. The staff was courteous, but made a mistake in our room number, which caused way more trouble than it should have. The property says it is pet-friendly and has doggy poop bags strategically located around the grounds, however, there was an undisclosed $75 fee, and our tiny dog (15 lbs) was kicked out of the breakfast room.

Your room is only cleaned every other day which I find unacceptable on vacation. Hotel towels never dry especially in high humidity. You have to ask for fresh towels. They did not touch the coffee maker the day our room was cleaned. The old pod was left in and the unit was dusty. We rented a suite. Very uncomfortable sofa to sit on, but nice to have two rooms. The bathroom had been renovated and was very nice including the lighting. The rest of the unit had terrible lighting which made it very dark. It does sit in a beautiful location and how much are you really in your room? When they remade our bed the one day that they "cleaned" they never bothered to put the quilt back into the duvet. Housekeeping left little to be desired.

Rude front desk staff. Paying $15 for breakfast when I’m paying $150 for a room is absolutely ridiculous. Asked for a late check out on my second day, they wanted $45 for an hour. Never again. Holiday Inn Express on 377 is 100 times better.

My hotel room was booked on Hotels.com. When I checked in I paid for the room, as well as a $50 deposit with a debit card ($370.92). After waiting about 10 minutes I was informed that the payment did not through "on their end". However, the payment was debited from my checking account, and I gladly shared evidence of this transaction with hotel staff. I was informed that it was OK and I went to my room to nap. Shortly thereafter the staff knocked on my door and informed that I had in fact not paid for the room, and in order to stay there I would have to come back to the front desk and pay again. This time I paid with a credit card, though I again showed the staff that my original payment was still debited from my checking account. I was told that my credit card payment "went through" and my checking account would be refunded from my initial payment when I checked out. However, my checking account was NOT refunded at that time, and now 48 hours later it has yet to be refunded. I have stayed at Hiltons often and have never had a complaint, though Hilton Garden Inn Granbury is clearly not managed as well their other properties. I am working with my bank in an attempt to get my account refunded, and will never patronize this hotel again.

Fast check in, great service. Great room, clean, very comfortable king bed. Super convenient location by the “beach” and the town’s square. Safe area. Beautiful boardwalk outside around the lake, small but nice indoor pool and hot tub. No (free) breakfast but otherwise ideal for a couple’s weekend away.

Best location in Granbury with its peaceful boardwalk connecting to the little beach next door. I loved strolling after dinner! This location is just a few blocks down the road from the adorable downtown too, where there is great dining and cute shops. My only disappointment from the hotel was that the breakfast was not included and when i paid for it... it was really bad. However this turned out to be a blessjng in disguise as it forced me into town where I found MUCH better options!! I definitely plan to return the next time I am in Granbury.

It was the perfect place to stay in Grandbury. We were able to walk along the lake and walk to the town square! Everyone was very nice!

Check in clerk was friendly and bar tender was nice. Enjoyed the "trial" smash burger. I'd suggest the patties be way thinner and the onions be sliced a lot thinner, but overall it was delicious! The manager was not only unfriendly but unhelpful. Room was bad. When we walked in it smelt like stinky feet. Access to the bathroom was very hard because the doors to the bathroom and the room would collide so you couldn't have them open at the same time. Bed was uncomfortable pillows were terrible and the shades are absolutely useless. There's a light that shines into the bedroom that these thin little shades do not block and it is bright all night long. Will not stay here again.

Overall, very good hotel in a great location. All ice machines were out, so inconvenient to get ice, although they got it for you quickly. They need to simplify breakfast options. They explained it several times and I'm still not exactly sure what the difference between the options are. To-go, Buffet and Order off a Menu. I have no idea what the To-go menu was. Never saw it and was never offered the option. The Buffet was not a buffet. You ordered off a menu for the main courses (except you could only get scrambled eggs) and fruit, toast, cereal, etc. was setup for a buffet (serve yourself). It was the same menu for Order off a Menu. Only one waitress, one cook and a lot of confusion. Took way too long to get the meal after ordering, which was not timely either. It is a shame because this could really be a great hotel, but based on the price per night, does not meet expectations.

The hotel staff made this stay top notch. The rooms were clean and quiet and it had beautiful views of the lake. It was just a short walking distance to town square for dining and shopping. My only complaint would be that the bartender poured me a very small glass of wine, and for the price, I wouldn't order drinks there again. Seems to also be a complaint from others. This doesn't change my review of this hotel, as I would definitely stay here again (I'll just bring my own wine). I would give this hotel ten stars if I could!

I got caught between Hilton and the online service i made the reservation with. I requested a room with a lake view and was told I had to contact the online service, which sent me back to the Hilton. Hilton told me they aren't allowed to change a reservation made by a third party. The service told me the hotel had to address my request. Since my room was old and smelled a little musty, I decided to cut my stay short by one day. No such luck. I would be charged for the full reservation if I checked or early. Again,I found myself caught between Hilton and the service. I didn't get a better room, and decided not to leave early because I wasn't about to donate the price of one night to Hilton. I had anticipated a restful, relaxing respite away from work, and what I experienced was more stress. There's a big sign in the lobby area with Hilton Garden's promise that they will do what it takes to make your stay "better and brighter." That if something isn't right, "simply let any hotel team member know, and we will make it right. GUARANTEED," which is printed in all caps and bold font. Apparently, either management can't read, or they simply ignore the guaranteed "promise." I can't decide which entity is worse, Hilton or the online service. However, I HAVE decided that I'm finished with both.

The hotel staff were friendly and helpful. The room was nice and fairly clean with a good layout. The dining area was decent though it seemed like they were in the middle of some sort of revamping based on what the staff said and the location of the hotel was convenient close to town but far enough away to avoid a lot of traffic. The parking was ample and the walking path along the river was very scenic.
