Very clean and comfortable. Can walk to Universal Studios. It is 1 mile to the valet station where you walk up to city walk. Breakfast was redundant but nice to have. Room could use TLC like a broken tile in shower but it didn’t negatively impact our stay. Shuttle wasn’t very helpful because it ran an hour before the park opened and left at 5:30pm only. Uber was around $7 back in evening. Restaurants in area were good. Walgreens is close. Pool is underwhelming but nice to have there. The pool water temp in February was too cold for an evening swim. You def get what you pay for but I felt the value was worth it.

The location to Universal and Sea world is great, but thats where it ends. While the staff that we interacted with was great, the hotel had major issues. The hotel shares its parking with 2 extremely busy restaurants, a burger king and another hotel. If you arrive after 7pm you may find it hard to locate a spot to park in. They dont have designted hotel parking for their guests. The prices for our stay were inflated because of spring break. Upon arrival we checked in and were promptly greeted. We got to our room which appeared to be clean, but smelled old and musky. The bathroom celing was peeling and had paint partially hanging off. The ceiling above the tub was the worse as you can tell they've had numerous leaks. The breakfast that was provided was a joke. You can tell the owner is finding the bottom of the barrel products to serve. I try not to be picky, but it was bad. The area wasnt clean and they dont have adequate seating for the amount of hotel guests. The hotel is very old. I only booked this based on other reviews on expedia and im honestly not sure if their reviews were real based upon my experience. Everyone in our room had sinus issues after staing in the room for 2 nights. Not sure what caused it other than it just had a musky smell. My wife always sprays disinfectant throughout the room prior to us touchkng anything and that normally helps, but not in this hotel. After being gone for less that 24hrs and all of us have cleared up and feel better.

My two-night stay at this hotel was a disappointing experience, and I cannot recommend it due to significant cleanliness problems that overshadowed any positive aspects. The most significant problem was the hotel's cleanliness. The lobby had a strong, dusty odor, and the counters were so grimy that my finger turned black after I touched them. The air quality was so poor that it caused a sharp pain in my throat on the first night, making me rush through the lobby to avoid the dust. The shuttle service was another major letdown. The schedule was completely impractical for a full day at Universal Studios, with a single morning trip and an early evening pickup that didn't align with the park's hours (9 a.m. to 7 p.m.). This forced us to pay for expensive parking, a frustrating and unexpected expense that completely defeated the purpose of a key hotel amenity. On a positive note, the staff was genuinely nice, and the breakfast exceeded expectations. The variety was impressive, with everything from scrambled eggs and sausage to pancakes and fresh fruit, making it a pleasant highlight of the stay. Ultimately, the significant issues with cleanliness and the impractical shuttle service were too much to overlook. I would not recommend this hotel and will not be returning. The positive aspects couldn't outweigh the fundamental problems, leaving a lasting negative impression.

The breakfast was not great, during the time I stayed the pool was dirty, there was a smell from the carpet and finally I noticed there were cleaning it. Housekeeping was good.

Unfortunately for this particular location the weather was extremely hot. So when we decided to cool off in the hotel pool we quickly realized it was not sanitary or been cleaned in awhile. It had not been touched for our entire 7 day stay.

Very close to Universal studios. Shuttle pickup is before 8am, so we kept missing it :) But Uber was only about $5

We booked here because it was close to Universal, and as this was a last-minute trip we were looking for something affordable. The hotel is fine. It is obviously a bit older and run-down in areas, but it does the job of providing a place to rest after a long day at the parks. When we first arrived, the lobby smelled mildewy, and this didn't improve throughout the trip. Our room was the same - smelled damp and mildewy; obviously the AC wasn't run prior to checkin. Now, I understand this is Florida, it's hot and damp. But that makes it even more important that guest rooms are made comfortable! It took 2 days of us running the AC as high as it could go before the room became habitable and started feeling less damp. The carpets are old, dingy, and they smell. They all need to be replaced. The bathroom was very clean, but the shower was far too complicated for its own good! We had to fiddle with it for a while before we were able to turn it on and get hot water. The beds were comfy, the pillows left something to be desired, but we had a good sleep nonetheless. The included breakfast was basic, nothing special, but everything was hot and we ate there every morning. Overall, I would say if you are looking for an affordable room to sleep in and not spend much time in the room, this is a good option. If you are looking for something more from your hotel room, and want a more comfortable stay from beginning to end, you might want to consider looking elsewhere.

My room smelled horrible, mold and flood stains on the ceiling, TV remote did not work, all drawers broken, shower mixer broken, mold and fungus in the shower, carpet was so dirty, it was sticking to the shoes, AC extremally loud and inefficient, very high humidity in the room

We found a giant live cockroach in our room right when we entered. I asked to move rooms and was told they were all full, even though mere minutes prior he had asked me which floor I’d prefer (indicating there were rooms on each). He instead gave me $30 off one nights stay (we were there three nights). The bathroom was extremely disgusting with black mold looking substance all on the bathtub grout & in the toilet bowl. The beds were extremely uncomfortable, the pillows very lumpy, the mattress was stained. The air conditioner could barely keep up. The breakfast had extremely limited options. The only good thing about this hotel was the location which was extremely convenient to Universal and some good restaurants. I would not recommend or stay here again.

I stayed here for 2 nights I see a terminally ill family member. The first night we found 1 roach on the bathroom floor. The morning after there was another roach on the ceiling, later that night another roach in the bathroom. There were a bunch of tiny ants running wild on the night table from the moment we got in until we left. The sheets were clean but I noticed a stain on my bed. The property itself just seems older. The lobby has a dull, old smell. If that makes sense. The property need a major upgrade. I’ve stayed at other best western properties and this one just is not up to par with the others. I was disappointed and I’m glad I was out most of the day so I didn’t have to stay there. Once I saw the first roach I was turned off completely. You guys need an exterminator.

We found a dead ant on our bed, the corridors smelled like mold, the shower head had visible mold on it & you could see the rust on the pipes under the bathroom sink. Had to go to the front desk to activate the key card twice because it stopped working. Breakfast was ok. Location was great. Staff was nice. Will not be staying here again & wouldnt recommend anyone to due to the lack of cleanliness that should be a basic requirement

The room smelled horrible like mold and mildew definitely from the carpet and AC. The bathroom door got stuck and my son couldn't get out. AC wasn't cold enough. Toilet was dirty and had a pubic hair on the seat. TV was buffering no clear picture. Phone in room wasn't working. The front desk was no help at all. The man working at the front desk said he wanted to cancel our reservation but we were like and then where do we go at 7 pm. We asked to move rooms and he said no. I said can you check before you say no. Then he said were sold out. He was not willing to help in anyway. He then said there's no housekeeping either so basically we had to clean it ourselves. I had to get clorox wipes to wipe down the entire room and purchased deodorizer for the horrible smell. WOULD NEVER STAY HERE AGAIN, ONE NIGHT WAS BAD ENOUGH!

It was so musty and damp that we couldn't sleep. We all felt sick.

The hotel is old. And it shows. The carpet in the rooms need to changed or removed all together. Nasty. Drab rooms and battered furniture. Beds don't fit atop the box spring and were very uncomfortable. Toilet in our room wobbled, scary. tub needed updating and was very slippery. Thank goodness for the grab bar. The freezer in the fridge defrosted on its own and flooded out the fridge as the 'drip tray' over flowed. For the price charged it was NOT a good deal. Breatkfast was ok. Sausage was fine. Eggs were salty and a bit watery. Oranges had mold. Staff was friendly. Parking is bad. Being so close to so many restaurants etc. the parking was crazy. Glad we were just sleeping at the hotel and not counting on the amenities. Oh and yes, we found a roach in the little closet. They are a part of living in FL but I don't want to see them in my hotel or bring them home with me.

There were roaches in the room. Once we got in the room around 11 pm, we found a dead roach in the fridge. Then in the morning, we found alive roaches. This was a couple of hours before our check out. When I was checking out, I told the employee in the lobby. He thanked me for letting him know and explained to me that they would not give me a discount for such a situation. Pretty much he told me that I could have called them and they would have switched the room for me; even though, it was a couple of hours before check out time. When I told him I was sure this was not the only room with roaches because usually it would be the entire building or most of it, he said it was normal because a 20 year old building. I have been to many Best Western hotels in different cities in south Florida and it has always been a great experience, but this time, it was a very bad experience.

This is a lower budget hotel but it served the purpose since I really only needed a place to sleep. The walls are fairly thin and as a light sleeper this was a negative for me. The room was decent.

There were several positives about this property. The rooms were a good size and the fridge was superior to most I’d seen in similar rooms. The area was quiet with restaurants within easy walking distance and the Walgreens nearby was wonderful. The rooms are showing some age with a fairly flimsy air conditioner. We had it at 65 and it could still feel warm at times. The bathtub was also showing some age. It does appear as if some upgrades are in the works. The breakfast was average. Not as good as other best westerns we’ve stayed at. Overall, we were disappointed with some of the front desk staff. They couldn’t answer some simple questions and generally seemed disengaged. The hotel is in walking distance to universal but be aware it is more like 20-25 minutes to the park entrances

Overall a great stay at a decent price. Only problem was the air conditioning unit was not maintaining the temperature in the room which caused it to be a little too warm at night for comfortable sleep.

The hot water was not adequately hot enough. Not enough to wake up someone in the morning.

Large room , clean, comfy beds and good faci. Bathroom with bath and toiletries. Sofa bed uncomfortable without the mattress topper. Breakfast hit n miss.

The rooms are clean and spacious with contemporary decor. The location is great, less than a 5 minute walk to a bunch of restaurants and super close to Universal. The included breakfast was good. We requested an extra blanket, and they had it to our room in minutes. It’s an excellent value for the price.

It's an OK property, not much else. First room we were given the bedding was damp and room smelt foisty, but we were moved to another room which was OK. The rooms are tired and dark, though I'm sure this is being advertised as just being refurbed? We only stayed 2 nights and that was enough. Would I recommend? Not really.

The lobby was ok but smelly. Once you got to the hallways and the rooms it was very creepy. Not good lighting and just overall creepy feeling

Never stayed at this hotel, canceled my two rooms in Aug, which were under the same reservation. And they still charged me. When I called and spoke with the clerk “Peter” he told me that I only cancelled one room and was charged for the other room. When I tried to ask him how only one room was cancelled since they were under the same reservation, he became very rude and cussed me out. When my husband called back to try and see what was going on, he told him to “F” off and hung up. When I tried calling the next day to talk with management I was told there wasn’t one and rudely hung up on. Now I’m still trying to get the rest of my money back, this hotel is saying I had 3 reservations. Funny how it keeps jumping up. Customer service goes a long way, I will NEVER stay at this hotel.

I haven’t stayed in a Best Western hotel for awhile and I glad I chose this Hotel. The front desk were very professionals and patients with questions not only from me but other guests as well. The room service was great and provided everything that we needed (hats off to them). Also, the hotel is very close to Universal parks and they have free shuttle to the parks, even though I did not use the shuttle but I heard from other guests that it was good. I wasn’t able to eat their free breakfast, late sleeper😁, but my daughter did and she said it was good. I did tried their free 24 hour coffee and it was very good. The hotel is kept clean at all times and doesn’t smell like other ones. The bed was very comfortable and the room is very spacious. I will definitely recommend this hotel and I will stay here next time Im in Orlando.

We had a terrible experience in our stay. Checking in the person at front desk, Braulio, made an offensive comment when my husband asked why was he asking for a credit card if the reservation was already paid for. Braulio replied; "because if you get drunk you could wet the bed or break something and you get to pay for it". What is he implying with that comment? Then, our keys to room 117 would not open the door. A gentleman from housekeeping went to front desk and brought us a new set of keys. That night around 12 midnight, someone opened our room door. I called front desk and was told our room appeared as vacant. It seems Braulio never completed the registration. We were asked to verify our information so that the registration to that room could be completed. This incident could have triggered a bad situation for us and the hotel. What would you do if someone enters your room in the middle of the night without an explanation? It could have resulted in a very bad incident. Luckily, the upper lock of the door was on but we were left with a very sour taste. We did not feel safe for the rest of the stay. The only stars of our stay was housekeeping. Maria did our room and she was outstanding. Kudos to the gentleman from housekeeping who tried to help us when our keys to room 117 were not working.

All of the staff were extremely nice and made us feel welcome. They always provided everything we needed. We will definitely stay here again!

Hotel was in a very decent location. Minutes from universal studios entrance. Room was clean with no issues. Staff very friendly and breakfast was decent good.

Everyone’s keys stopped working half way through our stay and instead of simply replacing or apologizing for the inconvenience, we were all lectured about where we must have placed our cards in our pockets or wallets (the place you would put a hotel key)… it was very awkward.

Service was good. The Housekeeping staff didn’t recognize the do not disturb sign when placed on the door on two occasions, everything else was good.

No issues with the room and the front staff were great.

Located within 5 minutes of Universal Resort. The staff was friendly and helpful. The hotel and room were both clean and comfortable. Close to an Ale Houe and other local eateries.

We LOVED the location just minutes from Universal's front gate-even closer for the Valet parking lot. VERY easy in and out, excellent quick-serve breakfast with plenty of seating. Beds were very comfy, four pillows on each bed, and the water was hot when we needed it. Our ground floor room was perfect. We were even able to check in a little early as our room was already cleaned.

Very convenient walking distance to Universal Orlando parks.

Well it's not spotless, but clean enough. Staff are polite, but service is ok. Free basic breakfast in the morning. Parking is free, about 25min walk to universal studios. Uber ride is around 6buck(non busy hour). Few nice restaurants nearby and a Walgreens.

Property is a good budget option. Walkable to Universal, though I wouldn’t walk alone or late at night. Easy to Uber to the parks, as a quicker / safer option. Breakfast is decent - particularly enjoyed the pancake machine.

Great place to stay within walking distance of University Studios for their late night event. Convenient restaurants right across the parking lot, too.

We stayed for a night after leaving Universal. It was teally clean and had a wonderful breakfast with lots of options!
