Room had an unidentifiable smell. Walls and ceiling were noticeably dirty. Bathroom was relatively clean as far as toilet and sink were concerned. Shower was questionable, did not use as I only stayed one night and was heading directly home in the morning. No signs of bed bugs so we made the best of it for the one night. Prob wouldn’t stay again. Could use a major deep cleaning and updating and attention to detail. Curtains weren’t even hung up right. Half were hung up inside out and the curtain rod was not through all the rod holes in the curtain. While that’s not a huge concern or dealbreaker in a motel of this nature…definitely makes you question the level of detail given to more sanitary concerns regarding cleaning. I am not high class. I can handle outdated and an uncomfortable bed for a night…but noticeable odors and walls, ceilings, and tubs with what appeared to be years worth of dirt and stains aren’t acceptable in the hospitality industry. A little washing or painting would go a LONG way to establish a level of trust in the housekeeping staffs ability to sanitize and clean a hotel room.
