Helpful staff, nice touch that they offered free drinks, ice cream, noodle soup in the lobby between certain hours daily and seem to have programming for special events daily as well.Loved the massage chairs too! Small rooms but very clean. Hotel was quiet and very close to the exciting area of Dotonbori with all the shops and restaurants. Comfy beds too.

The room was very small there was a huge pole in the middle of the room which made it hard to work around but the bed was very firm which is what I like. The bathroom is smaller than a cruise ship bathroom which gave me motion sickness every time I entered the bathroom. The staff was super friendly and helpful I really enjoyed the free drinks and ramen bar they had. This hotel is in the perfect location it is a minute walk to dotonbori and less than a three minute walk to the Namba train station. I enjoyed the different themed entertainment each night. This was an amazing vacation I will definitely be back

Exceptional service, well mannered caring reception. Great location. The hotel also offered free drinks, ice cream, noodles and amenities which were great especially given that the rates were not expensive.

Small room but near all the Dotonbori action! Free drinks but Coke machine only worked one day then was out for rest of stay☹️ Lots of free amenities in lobby such as toothbrushes with paste, brushes, razors, and face masks. Sleeping gowns and slippers in room and massage chairs in lobby were a plus! Kimono dress up day was fun for daughter too!

This hotel is fantastic. In a perfect area, literally walkable to all the cool sights in Dotonbori, it's a very busy & bustling area, so much to see and do. The hotel was clean, rooms were a decent size, we were able to get laundry done. Plus, every day in the lobby from 3-5 they offer free ice cream, free coffee, juice and free booze!! Excellent place!

The staff was very helpful and the amenities in the lobby were great (massage chairs, skincare products, beverages, etc.). The room itself was very small (as expected for a Japanese economy room) but my big suitcase fit and it had all of the amenities of a standard/bigger room. The location is excellent. Short walk from attractions and subway lines.

Great value hotel in a convenient location, close to everything in Dotonbori. Comfortable well-maintained rooms, great service, lovely breakfast, and free drinks and ice cream every night. Would definitely stay here again!

위치적으로는 좋아요.침구류는 좀 지저분했어요 화장실도 냄새도 나고 생각보다 객실이 작아요.청결하지는않아요. 좋은점은 주류 생맥주 음료 라면 아이스크림이 무제한 제공인게 아주좋아요. 조식이 맛있어요 다양한 음식이 준비되어 있어서 맛있었어요.

The hotel itself was below average in terms of cleanness and staff. Although they offer free ice cream, soft and limited spirits, but never used it in our case as we’ve been out almost all the day. The hotel is crowded and crazy busy. But the location is perfect for visiting canal and around.

My room was super dirty with mold in the toilet and shower area. There was odd smelling like poop. I have asked to exchange any room. The front desk staff can only arrange the room next to the laundry room which is very noisy, so i refused. Then they can't arrange another room for me. I need to stay there for 4 nights, then I was sick for two weeks after stayed there for 4 days. Please stay away from this hotel unless you don't care to stay in a dirty or sick places.

Very friendly staff, clean. I didn’t need housekeeping in my room, so they left clean towels every day in a bag, hanging on my doorknob. The only downside was that the block the hotel is in is a bit dirty, but that’s out of the control of the hotel. Bed and pillows are on the hard side. Everything else is wonderful! Room was larger than what I expected in Japan.

The location is very good. However, many things about the hotel during our stay wasn’t up to standards. We found mold growing near the ac, when we notified the front desk they had the technician come and wipe it but nothing else was done. Later that day we found a roach running around on the floor. The front desk was kind to move us to a different larger room after being notified of the roach. Overall experience left much to be desired.

The Wi-Fi in the lobby is secured, but the room is not secured and can’t connect. Good that the hotel gave me a hotspot to use. The lobby always full of people sitting there to get internet. Good free drinks and beer from 3 pm to 9 pm. Free ramen only 8:30 to 9 pm but no hot water. The room and the bathroom are small, especially my room had a pole in it that makes the room extra small. The hotel needs some upgrade.

Location was right in the heart of Dotonbori as expected and easily walkable to surrounding neighbourhoods. Public transport and plenty of food options everywhere. Staff were lovely at check in and we were provided with amenities and free daily extras such as drinks and icecream which was a nice touch! Wifi was average and kept disconnecting which was annoying particularly as getting back on was temperamental. The walls were extremely thin and therefore heard everything your neighbours said and did.

Very nice hotel. The only gripe I have is my specific room was at the end and had a massive pillar that took up a ton of space. VERY close to dotonbori and convenient. Loved my stay in Osaka with the hotel being so close

Convenient location. Reasonably clean. Nice amenities with drinks, ice cream, massage chair. Breakfast was excellent. My kids and I both enjoyed it - lots of variety and good quality food. The room was extremely small. We paid for a 3 bed room, and the beds were so close they were touching. I understand rooms in Japan are small, but this left no room to exit the bed, store suitcases, or move freely. We were stepping over each other the entire time. The bathroom was so small I had to sit sideways on the toilet. AC worked well which was a bonus.

1 minute walk to Dotonbori, the room is very small, especially the restroom, it will not fit for a person with 6' tall. I am only 5'8, wt. 160lb and barely fit the restroom and my head almost touched the ceiling. There is no room to move around in the restroom. The train station is very close by.

Excellent customer service. Front desk staff are very kind and always ready to be of assistance . My appreciation to Ms. Uka who assisted us upon check-in & gave us instructions on how to conveniently navigate around esp to the subway station. Housekeeping has been consistent in delivering fresh clean towels & bottled water daily. It's also great o cone back to the hotel with free cold drinks & ice cream especially on a hot day. The hotel may be old & outdated but the great smile & great service of the hotel staff is enough to let you know that you have chosen the right place.

Our stay at Dotonbori Hotel was excellent! The front staff were friendly and helpful with explaining the amenities they provided and with the check it process as well! Very pleasant staff. We arrived early and were able to check in and go to our room. The room was basic but very clean. Amenities were in the lobby as well as sake, beer, soft drinks, coffee, and ice cream during certain hours. Relaxing lobby with chairs and tables. I would stay at this hotel again. Near the tourist areas and right around the corner from the subway.

I'd have to say that this property was quite disappointing. There was a strange smell throughout the whole building, the bathroom was impractically small, the air-conditioning either did not work properly or was set to change to 28C after a set time, I'd have to wake up several times a night to change it back to cooling. One of the staff members spoke rudely to my children.. And the list goes on. I would never stay here again.

Bidet stopped working but staff were able to change our rooms quickly when they couldn't fix it. Excellent location in the middle of Dotonbori with some nice extra such as free drinks, cup noodles and massage chairs. Rooms are a bit dated but expected for the price paid.

Amazing location in dotonbori district just two blocks away from the famous Ebisu bridge. Staff was friendly. Buffet breakfast was fantastic with espresso machine, as well as a mix of western and Japanese dishes. I've stayed twice at this hotel and will stay again.

Overall the hotel is not bad. It’s located a block from all the tourist madness so the surrounding area isn’t the cleanest. We booked a standard room and it was tiny. Layout of the room and bathroom is horrible. It was very affordable so really can’t complain. Hotel staff was awesome! The complementary sodas, beer, drinks and ice cream is a plus.

We had a wonderful stay at Dotonbori Osaka. It is a great location close to shopping and restaurants and subways. We really enjoyed the delicious breakfasts free coffee and beer and ice cream and noodles in the lobby. The room was plenty big and had all we needed .

We chose the Dotonburi Hotel because it was right in the thick of the action of the \'crazy\' area of Osaka, and in that sense it didn\'t disappoint. It is a basic hotel. The public areas are always busy with locals taking advantage of the free coffee and beer/sake in the lobby. The room is basic with a bathroom that is very small...a little like a \'head" in a boat. The beds were, however, very comfortable. Breakfast was poor. The whole place reminded me of a slightly down at heel Travelodge.

The complimentary drinks, ice cream, and ramen (during specific hours) are a nice added touch. The breakfast (additional charge) is better than the other hotels that we’ve stayed at in Japan so would recommend adding that since a lot of restaurants aren’t open before 10 am (kobinis aside).

When our AC malfunctioned on our first night, the staff was very helpful in relocating us. We have visited Japan over 20 times, and found this hotel to be very unique with a lively/fun vibe. If you are used to Western hotel rooms, you will find these very small, with correlating bathrooms...but when in Rome...or in this case, Osaka...you just get used to it and it's not a big deal! I cannot think of a single negative thing to say about this hotel, I appreciated being near two restaurants that catered to my mom's celiac disease (okonomiyaki made with rice flour), and near so many massage places (where I enjoyed affordable leg massages). Highly recommend!
