Great bar and reception area. Rooms are spotless and well laid out. Gym is great. Location location location. Steps from Michigan Ave. Only issue is the rudimentary option for food and its hours of operation. Luckily there are many wonderful restaurants in the immediate area.

One of the finest hotels on Michigan Ave with fantastic views of Magnificent Mile. Clean rooms with exceptional staff. Parking can be expensive, however you could park across the street at the NorthWestern Medicine parking structure. We will definitely be back.

Our stay at the hotel was good. The hotel is in a prime location downtown Chicago so it is very walkable for shopping, dining and entertainment or a quick Uber ride away! The hotel staff was friendly and service was great too but the rooms were a bit out dated and could use some help. Other than that, our room was clean/cozy. The valet parking at the hotel is insanely expensive, almost $100 a day. So I would advise finding another parking garage to park your car if driving into the city.

The elevators are slow. Our first assigned room was very worn. The floor reeked of marijuana and the hallway wallpaper was peeling or had been peeled from the walls. Night staff was wonderful. He located another room for us that had a great view of Michigan Avenue and was well- maintained. shStarbuck'sRofirn.

unique hotel. great location. however, the rooms are older, the bathrooms are small, only pedastal sink for a suite room. shower old and small. spider webs in the inside windows. it served it's purpose - perfect location. hotel bar closed on labor day weekend - disappointing for sunday night. no where to get coffee in the morning, had to run to starbucks down the street.

I stayed at the Warwick Allerton last year and thought it was a hotel of average quality, but I would not stay here again. The exterior of the building is beautiful, but during this stay my hotel room was infested with bugs including cockroaches and earwigs (N.B. I have photographic evidence but the webpage is not permitting me to upload them from my phone). I was able to dispose of one cockroach but the earwig only presented itself when I got out of bed and saw I had been sleeping next to it. The next day, reception staff suggested they could have moved me to a new room, but it seems likely that every room would have had this problem given that I was located on the 20th floor. I was not offered any kind of redress by the hotel for my experience. Moreover, the hotel porter who stored my baggage upon checkout was not only very infrequently present, but also damaged the screen of a very expensive laptop at some point during dropping off or picking up my bags.

When we got there the first night this is systems were down. The man who escorted us to a room was extremely friendly and helpful. By the time we got back to her room later that evening the system was up and running and we were able to get our hotel key cards. My only issue as I was a little disappointed in the room. It was a little smaller than what the pictures make it look like. And the carpets we're dingy and stained. I would stay again as long as the carpets are cleaned

The bathroom ceiling was covered in mold, there were stains dripping down the bedroom wall, and stains all over the carpet. We woke up to a large bug in our room one morning. Another morning we were awoken at 8 am by sawing and hammering. When we asked about it we were told they were doing plumbing repairs. 8 am was a little early for that (especially since it was 6 am for us having just come from the west coast). The ice machine was out of order and we had to go up 4 floors to find one that worked. Even then, the ice came with flakes of mold. I understand that it is an older building but the hotel rooms are in need of renovating and a deep clean.

My hotel room was broken into at 4 am and I was robbed. I reported it to the hotel front desk and the filed a police report. Hotel management has still not contacted me 48 hours later. In the words of the Chicago Police Department detective assigned to my case “ this is the worst hotel he has ever dealt with and the security is non existent.” Dont stay here

1. There was no offer to help with the bag 2. No one helped with the door while I carried all the bags 3. Seems like all the staff intentionally ignored me 4. I arrive @1:30pm and was charged $30 for early check in despite the room was ready - not sure if this is common, but I’ve never experienced this. 5. I will not be back at this property again

The staff who checked me in were rude and gave me a room at a corner even though they just mentioned to another guest in front of me that 'we're pretty empty so we can give you a good room with a view'. I'm not sure why there would be a reason to discriminate between guests. The lady also was very rude when she asked me for my ID and card to put on file like she did not care.

The reservation was mad just the day before when we decided to spend the night in Chicago for my granddaughter's first Kids Chicago Triathlon instead up getting hours earlier to make her checkin time. At hotel checkin Cesar was able to get us rooms close together as adjoining was not available. We all got up early and got bottles of water from the front desk as we left the hotel. We were given an extra hour to checkout. That was fantastic as we were scrambling after the end of the race.

This was possibly the worst hotel stay I’ve ever experienced. For starters, we were given the keys to someone else’s room! Luckily the man was not in his room at the time we entered. However, this is extremely dangerous and should not have occurred!!!! We were then “upgraded” to a suite that smelled awful. Whatever the odor was, it seemed to be in the carpet. Not wanting to go BACK down to the desk for a second time, and being aware that the rooms were sold out for the weekend, my daughter & I decided to tough it out. We went out for the night (bought an air freshener) & upon returning our room keys didn’t work. This led me to believe someone may have been given access to our room just as we were earlier in the evening. The next morning someone was knocking on our door around 9 and I heard them proceed to open the door and try to enter. If I wouldn’t have had the extra lock on she would have come right into the room. It was housekeeping! Why was housekeeping knocking on the door and then attempting to enter our room at that hour?! The next morning around 10, the same thing, a knock and then an attempt to come in! It wasn’t close to check out time and we hadn’t asked for anything from the front desk. Unacceptable! When I stay at a hotel I expect to feel comfortable, safe & have privacy. I also expect the room to smell and feel clean! None of which occurred with this trip. I placed a call to management the first night and as of today, he still has not returned my call.

The location is great, staff was very pleasant. I was able to check into my room earlier then scheduled, which was great! Was a lovely hotel and experience. I definitely intend on booking there again!

Great location! Only a few minutes from the riverwalk (and the architectural boat tours along the river). There's plenty of shopping and the hotel is very well connected with buses and trains not too far. Millennium Park and several museums are within a 15 min walk.

This was our first trip to Chicago so I really did not know where I was booking but wow we are happy we stayed here!! It was perfect for all our needs and so much food and shopping within blocks! Also a short walk to the river and the parks! Perfect location and we will absolutely stay here next time we visit!

Warwick Allerton is always our go to for Chicago. It’s a beautiful historic hotel. Basic amenities but that’s all we need. Can’t beat the location. Close to shopping, public transportation, the river, and parks. Will always stay there.

Great bar and reception area. Rooms are spotless and well laid out. Gym is great. Location location location. Steps from Michigan Ave. Only issue is the rudimentary option for food and its hours of operation. Luckily there are many wonderful restaurants in the immediate area.

Honestly this is the worst hotel I’ve stayed at before I had a reservation and my room was supposed to big a queen bed instead the gave me full size bed very uncomfortable also website says breakfast but there was no breakfast also I did talk to someone about my issue and they said that they was gonna come up to the room that they gave us when the room we reserved was ready and never did literally made us pay $300 for nothing literally it’s really ridiculous that the hotel was also false advertised

Cafe is not really a restaurant. Starbucks is nearby and Wild Berry is a short walk. The hotel is in a great location. We loved staying there. The room is large, and the people working there are very friendly.

unique hotel. great location. however, the rooms are older, the bathrooms are small, only pedastal sink for a suite room. shower old and small. spider webs in the inside windows. it served it's purpose - perfect location. hotel bar closed on labor day weekend - disappointing for sunday night. no where to get coffee in the morning, had to run to starbucks down the street.

Väldigt bra läge. Bra service på hotellet. Vi fick ett stort härligt rum med två stora bra sängar och fin sitthörna. Trevlig bar på hotellet som är begränsat öppen. Receptionen löste allt snabbt och smidigt, vi fick ett kylskåp till rummet. Det är ett livligt område men bra gångavstånd till det mesta. Heltäckningsmatta i rummet och kanske mindre bra städning, i övrigt är vi väldigt nöjda. Chicago är trevlig och vacker stad med vacker arkitektur. Beatrix är ett trevlig frukostställe 2 minuter från hotellet. Rekommenderas.

Pros: good location if you want to be in the heart of downtown Cons: flies in room, small and slow elevators, bad staff, surprise $25/night fee for slow internet upon check in, fee for dropping off bags (never had to pay for this before at a hotel.) My wife and I stayed here for 5 nights, and I'd say it was just fine, but there were a few things that lowered our satisfaction. First off, they charge you an extra $25 a day and say its for the wifi and welcome bottle of water. Pretty weak. On top of that, valet is $72/day which is insanely high. Our room had a few odd things. The fridge didn't work well (needed to be de-iced) and there were a few exposed nails on the floor (driven in, not sticking out). The staff was nice enough and the location is solid. Overall though, I'm not sure I'd recommend this to anyone. We booked based on pricing and it ended up being even with some other spots we were considering after fees and extras.
