Quality Inn I-70 at Wanamaker

The front desk employee was rude and seemed to be annoyed that we interrupted her phone time on her personal cell. The room was dirty and we will not be returning.

Handicap was used by staff because it was close to main door, they did not have a Handicap placard nor a handicap tag. When I brought it up to staff, they said it was private property, but as a business they still have to follow federal and local laws and be ADA complaint. Staff admit they had water down pancake mix and it's why it wouldn't cook correctly in waffle maker, but it was still doughy inside after about 5 minutes. Other breakfast choices were few. Tv in room screen was frozen staff said you had to change to input HDMI screen was still frozen they didn't seem to care. Overall staff were rude and didn't seem to care about hotel issues.

Satisfactory for the price. HOWEVER, not happy with the discrepancy between the pet fee and the actual fee charge at the hotel. Hotels.com had $25 pet fee but $45 plus tax was charged at the door. Hotels.com needs update the sight or Quality Inns are doing a bait and switch. Several dog owners that night faced the same consequences. Per the front desk person there were 6 dogs on site that night. I witnessed one lady with 3 dogs, then another dog owner followed me. I wonder if we would have come if we knew before booking that we would be charged $45/ pet? I think it was Candance at the front desk that had to deal with this issue with each dog owner, frustrating for the dog owners and or her, she handled the situations matter of factly, but well. Parking was sufficient, but the lot and landscaping need some TLC and cleanup. Good location for restaurant options. We did not have breakfast; it was only available until 9am.

Phones were not connected. My TV didn’t work, but they came and switched it out when we arrived. The staff was very helpful.
