There is a picnic table outside the pool area. Since food wasn’t allowed in the pool area, we thought we’d eat outside. We didn’t realize that the table legs were rusted. My granddaughter sat on the bench of the table and almost landed on the ground. We told the staff and they said that they knew it was broken that why it was setting out there. It was right outside the pool door by the parking lot.

Very clean, friendly staff. The pool was clean and nice, albeit very shallow. The hot tub has been permanently shut off, which is disappointing. The breakfast was meh. Nice place.

We could not stay in the room we booked because it was on the second floor and I’m handicap and the hotel did not have an elevator , so they give me another room not handicap accessible they had none available. I paid for a suite with a Jacuzzi. And I end up getting a standard room, not accessible. There was nothing else available at this hotel or the other two in that town. I will be calling hotels.com to discuss my room rate. I was overcharged for that type of room. Plus, the hot tub in the main pool area is broke down.

We came in for a family funeral. Yes it was snowy. Our room was closest to the side door. We understood that it was a pet-friendly but we didn't expect to be walking in pet urine every single time we entered and exited the building. People with pets should have a designated area for pets to relieve themselves, like 15-20 feet away from the door as not to inconvenience all guests. Don't get me wrong, we have a dog but there is no evidence that we have one when we travel. The dog was not with us on this trip. Stepping thru the urine soaked snow on the sidewalk and entrance to the building sure made us smell like pet people. The exercise room was unusable. It was more of a closet as there were tools on the floor. It was serious lacking in exercise equipment. The pool didn't appear useable. We picked this hotel to help us during the several days that we would be there due to the funeral. The paint needed repaired and tile behind the toilet needed reattached. The refrigerator didn't have any shelves. We were not at all comfortable with our stay. We were very uncomfortable with our stay, it was not at all what we expected.

The main reason we booked this hotel was for the hot tub that the listing says it has. The hot tub was out of service and has been for quite some time. For this reason, we will not stay here again. Staff were friendly and the room was ok. Beds were small.

Outside signage could be improved by being larger for parking. It seemed like there is one way to get into the lot. Other than that, our stay was fine.

This is a small town and I'm sure the Ragbrai crowd was not the normal occupancy for this location, but the check-in person was not welcoming or friendly. Went to the room and used the restroom and then went to dry my hands on a towel, and there was what appeared to be a TURD stuck to the supposedly "unused" towel. I carried it to the front and requested clean towel but she really didn't even offer much of an apology. Later on while showering, I noticed that a dirty, used washrag was hanging from the shower curtain.

Very nice staff. Hallways smelled like old cigarettes. Room smelled musty. Phone and underside of toilet was uncleaned. Towels were supet thin. Beds were great. AC was good.

Front desk was so friendly and welcoming. We were hoping for the best. Complementary breakfast was nice. After that, I would just say the place needs to be upgraded and the rooms need attention. The hallways were so uncomfortably warm. The air conditioner was appreciated but it was super loud. The toilet seat had a chip out of it and needed to be replaced for both comfort and sanitary reasons. There was a spill of cola from the previous people that was on the phone, side table between the beds and in the lamp shade. Everything around the area was sticky and I tried to use the phone to ask for extra towels and it wasn’t hooked up and the phone was cradled in a puddle of sticky old cola which made me wonder how well the room was cleaned. Do the wipe down the phone after each reservation? The bathroom walls could use better patching. Also, the tv was the smallest of any hotel I’ve been in. But overall, this is a small town and so don’t expect a 5 star stay.

We stayed in a king suite. The room was a little dated but in good condition overall. The bed was very comfortable. I didn’t care for the layout of the room. It was an “L” shape with the window around the corner from the rest of the space resulting in a very dark room. I probably wouldn’t pay extra for a suite in the future. The staff were very friendly and welcoming and we enjoyed the breakfast. Overall, it was a good value and we would stay here again.

The breakfast ran out really early with the workers staying there. I got there at 8:15 and the few sausage patties left were very well done. Staff was very friendly. Room was old and a little beat up but the a/c worked fine.

The people who worked at the hotel were nice but the property was run down, the heater didn’t work correctly, there was a train that was right beside the hotel and as the trains went by they would blow their horns, which doesn’t make for a good nights sleep when this happens over and over and over. The shower had great water pressure but the bathroom down falls were the toilet seat had a big chip on the front and a sharp edge plus a shower that had holes in the wall that they tried to paint and instead of fixing so the paint was chipping away. All in all, this hotel should be rated a 6 or less.
The people who worked at the hotel were nice but the property was run down, the heater didn’t work correctly, there was a train that was right beside the hotel and as the trains went by they would blow their horns, which doesn’t make for a good nights sleep when this happens over and over and over. I couldn’t make it there due to the it crash of the airlines and so I never actually stayed there. I tried calling the office serval times and nobody would answer. Expedia tried calling as well and never got a response and then told me the hotel wouldn’t give a refund. Terrible customer service.

First thing there was only 1 cart for the whole hotel. Then they sent us to a room that someone else was clearly living in. Then we had to move all our stuff to a different room. Our TV was not working, only had a political channel that was working!!!! The worker could not fix the TV & said that he would "find someone" After over an hour no one had come to our room. Finally he came back after we asked him, to try again.He suggested moving to a different room AGAIN!!!!!! He said it was his 1st day on the job. We also had to ask for a roll out bed that just barely fit in the room. Had to put the foot stool into the chair to make room for the bed. In the morning when we were going to check out the guy was sitting on a chair in front entry way. He said we were all done!!!! I HAD to ask for my receipt Will never stay there again, ever.

Front desk staff was helpful and friendly. Other staff when in halls unfriendly, would not speak. Room was clean but only one coffee cup for 2 people, chain lock missing. The staff was friendly and the hotel was nice. The only drawbacks were the occasional train whistles across the road and the webpage showing the wrong address and location. It was over 1/2 mile off and on the opposite side of the double lane highway, which made it very frustrating to find. Otherwise, it was ok.

We had a nice stay. In town for graduation and birthday, we received a surprise upgrade from our standard king room to the jacuzzi suite. This was extremely nice and unexpected. The place was quiet, cleanliness was fine, we didn’t partake in the breakfast but it smelled good. Ladies at the front desk were very kind. Walmart and plenty of food within walking distance. Overall for the price I am happy and would stay again if in the area.

We stayed here for the Orange City Iowa Tulip Festival. This was the perfect location. The staff were very helpful. Beds were comfortable; room clean. I highly recommend this Baymont. FYI LeMars is the Ice Cream Capital of the WORLD!!!

We stayed in a king suite. The room was a little dated but in good condition overall. The bed was very comfortable. I didn’t care for the layout of the room. It was an “L” shape with the window around the corner from the rest of the space resulting in a very dark room. I probably wouldn’t pay extra for a suite in the future. The staff were very friendly and welcoming and we enjoyed the breakfast. Overall, it was a good value and we would stay here again.

Room was musty, toilet was running, and the bathroom ceiling was peeling over the shower. When we brought up the running toilet issue, the front staff just stated to "close the door." It appears that the hotel is undergoing renovations (e.g., supplies are in the hallway) as hotel is showing its age. Breakfast is very basic with minimal choices. Overall, kind of pricey for what you get.

Front desk peeps are a bit short, not trying to be friendly. it may be ESL not sure. The room was good. I found maint issues with floor, lighting, etc but overall OK. (I left post-it notes where I could. ) BEST hotel shower ever that was nice. Affordable too. Stairs and vending area not vacuumed the two days I was there (see my Google review) Didn’t try the pool. Le Mars is small so you can walk to McD’s or Pizza House. I’ll stay again. I do hope they try a bit harder.

New carpet was being installed. Would of been nice to have someone vacuum the stairwell of all the loose pieces. New a/c /heaters are also being installed. Ours ran quiet. This hotel is very close to a railroad intersection. Ask for a room NOT FACING THE TRACKS unless you like being woken up with train whistles early in the morning. The outside LED security light is far too bright. We were in room 219. Refuse this room if you like it dark and quiet from train noises.
