Super 8 by Wyndham Owensboro

There was nothing I didn't like. They are remodeling, but it did not inconvenience me. The room was clean, new. Staff were very helpful, and took initiative to offer assistance and information about places to eat, discounts for guests. Breakfast is primarily pastries, cereals, etc. Loved having coffee and donuts available 24/7. Not a fan of taking the stairs, but that's on me; just remember if you have an accessibility issue you will need to let them know ahead because there is no elevator. I've paid more for far less than I received - much better than I expected for the price. I will make that my go-to as I freuqently travel to the area for work.

Limited parking. We actually ended up making a parking spot beside the dumpster. It’s fine if you’re looking for a basic no-frills place to stay. No carpet anywhere. One thing to note is the fact that there is no elevator.

Hotel is newly remodeled and rooms are exctremely comfortable for me. Exterior up-date is still not finished

Great Breakfast. Adequate parking except for the last night of our stay. Had to park off site and walk to hotel.

The rooms seemed new. Exterior being renovated. Hotel was packed, and it was quiet.

The Hotel was clean. Parking with a trailer was an issue. Had to park in a restaurant parking lot after it closed.

This property is upgrading and doing renovations but even doing those the building itself was vwry clean and smelled fresh. Our room was clean and nice. The only suggeation i have is the fan in the bathroom and has a light in it. Blue and then an orange light. That should not be like that it looks like it could be recording. Im sure it isnt but just looks odd. Other than that it was a great place to book and stay

This facility is undergoing modernization and the interior is very nice. My room was very new and clean. They even had mag phone chargers built into the bedside tables. The exterior walkways were still Under construction but this didn’t really impact the quality of my stay and is clearly temporary. The breakfast buffet was very nice and welcome at 6am as I was checking out. The owners are clearly working hard to make this a nice hotel. I recommend it.

Hair dryer did not work. No elevator. Pitiful breakfast. Low water pressure are a few of what we got by staying there.

We booked a KING room at this hotel only to be told when we got there that they did not have an elevator. My husband is in a power chair and can not use the steps. They were rude and then offer a queen room next to the deck. We can not use a queen bed. I requested a refund.

Roaches.

Pillows were super comfy and the room was clean.

We rolled the covers back as soon as we got int he room and found Bed Buds and not only human hair but pubic hair in the sheets. We took pictures and presented to the front desk and they seemed unconcerned about the issue after seeing the pics we of what we saw. They staff was not engaged. ABSOLUTLY DISGUISTINg HOTEL!!!!!!! Along with staff that didn't care.

My room was fine, but stairways were very dirty (there was a pink comb and candy wrappers there for my entire visit!)

Was not happy with the cigarette smell, it was very strong in the bathroom, thought it was a smoke free room. I Think it was coming from the room under us. Very unpleasant to have to smell this all night. Would not stay here again because of that.

Check in was great. Room was not very clean. What I hope was soda all over the bathroom door. Floors were nasty and we had to clean our feet from walking on it. Lots of hair everywhere. Beds were very small and hard. Fire alarm went off at 1:30 and we never knew what to do or what happened. People were just screaming in the parking lot.

Our room was spotless when we arrived.

BED BUGS. Yes, there were bed bugs in my bed and i have the pictures and bites to prove it. Luckily, i saw one crawl by my head before I fell asleep. I grabbed it and threw it in the sink. I Google image searched it and sure enough, bed bugs. I saw two at the time. I went to the front desk and told the guy what was going on. He seemed surprised and moved me to another room and let me check it before he assigned it to me. He was nice enough but didn't apologize for the inconvenience. I went back to get my things from room 115 and checked the bed again. Now, there were 5 bugs that I could see crawling around. I'm sure there were more than that hiding but I wasn't going to look for them! The next morning I called the manager asking for a refund and she said she would look into it and call me back that day. I never heard anything and called her back the next business day. Since I booked through Expedia she was waiting to hear from them so she could initiate the refund. She said they found 2 dead bugs but that's it. Well, I guess who ever stays in room 115 will have to let them know otherwise. She never really apologized and basically treated me like I was exaggerating or being untruthful. Again, never got a call back so I called Expedia and they called the hotel on my behalf. I did end up receiving a refund but I never heard from the manager again. This was handled so poorly and I would never have taken the time to write this had they handled it appropriately. I will not be back.

Room was clean and well equipped. Property is older but looks to have been rehabbed recently. Parked on back side of property. Bed was good.

This hotel has been recently renovated. The rooms have hardwood/laminate flooring which is much better/nicer than carpet in my opinion. The bed was very comfortable, and there was plenty of water pressure in the shower. The desk person was very nice and helpful. Great hotel!!

This property was very clean and modern. Rooms were large and spacious. I was pleasantly surprised. Only downside I could say is the hallways and doors opening and closing are very loud. There is no carpet so I assume that contributes to the noise. But overall great stay and would stay again

My shower did not work properly, water wouldn’t get hot. Also TV kept going out every 10 or 15 min. I won’t go back!

Overall a nice, clean room for the price except the A/C was too noisy for the wifey but worked ok. Our room wasn't ready for us to check in on time and they told me that they would call me when it was ready and their staff didn't follow up on that which was disappointing, but nothing that we couldn't work around for our stay.

Noisiest damned place I've ever stayed. Doors slamming, people yelling and running in the hallway.

Me and my daughter were in Owensboro for a softball tournament and needed somewhere to stay last minute. The hotel is clean and the front desk were very friendly. I think rooms are kind of small for the price, and the bathroom door didn’t work well. But otherwise it was very clean, and updated. I like that the floor was tile throughout and not carpet. The tv didn’t want to work properly, I would turn on but couldn’t change channels or anything, luckily that wasn’t a deal breaker since we were only there for the night. Also, it was very noisy, this is not the hotels fault but we stayed on the first floor and it sounded like a heard of elephants above us doing gymnastics until about midnight and then again around 8am. I’m not even sure how they could make so much noise with the size of rooms. And I’m sure this could have been handled if I had complained. They did have breakfast but only consisted of donuts and coffee. I think they could invest in some bigger bottles of shampoo AND conditioner or atleast more of the small bottles.

An over all good stay. The only issue was with the shower. The water was ice cold and would never warm up

Room was clean and staffing was friendly and helpful when needed. We needed to sta another night and the receptionist recommended me signing up for Wyndham rewards to get the room a little bit cheaper!

In town for father's funeral and needed affordable last minute accommodation at 930 pm Booked through 3rd party hotels.com Told next day by front desk they had a less expensive funeral rate but we would need to cancel with 3rd party and rebook directly with them. Long story short each party said I had to speak with the other and they needed to speak with each other and it was never resolved. So upon checking out we received the full bill. Hotel somewhat remodeled Mattress not comfortable with one side worn down Large spider in sink upon awaking 1st day Spot on curtains we first thought was a spider Breakfast average Towels and toilet paper restocked at request Toilet takes 2+ flushes Shower was nice Mostly construction workers staying there during the week Noise not too bad for being by highway Takes ac time to cool and sometimes feels humid Musty smell upon enertering especially when ac isnt cool Fridge, microwave,iron, ironing board provided Updated but still average accommodations

Was in town for work and stayed the week at this hotel. Was very pleased with the service. Loved being able to come back to my room after a long day of work to have my bed made and fresh towels. Will be coming back again.

The lady at the front desk was very wonderful and she gave me lots of information because I had purchased a room through a third-party company and they did not give me the right information. Her name is Nita.

Because of Policy Charged us, but wouldn’t let us stay because name wasn’t on card…had to find somewhere else to stay

Very friendly staff. Very clean room. Some construction around the area but didn’t affect my stay. Walked right next door to Texas Roadhouse for dinner. Free donuts and breakfast was a plus too. Nice place to stay for sure.

Room 116 not spotless but accaptable. Staff was excellent and proud. Good breakfast

Our room was clean and updated, bed was comfy. Staff was friendly. Also, they had Dunkin Donuts and coffee in the lobby. Would definitely stay again.

The hotel was great. The staff was very accommodating and very friendly. A good touch was the fresh coffee and pastries that they provide all day from Dunkin' Donuts. Breakfast is a basic breakfast but fresh fruit does the trick.
