Motel 6-Berea, KY

Modest, clean, safe, tucked away in a freeway exit. Not much food around but a Mexican restaurant and 2 gas stations. There’s no pool or outside trash cans. Good place to stay while traveling on a budget. No breakfast. Cameras everywhere. The parking lot cat was adorable. 1 exit from Buc-ees.

Lowest price in the area, clean room, parking next to room entrance, convenient access to the room from outside

Property is being remodeled. No parking next to the building, lot has a lot of construction debris including screws and nails. We parked next to our room to unload and were promptly asked to move our vehicle to the parking parameter which is very limited. Terrible!

Parking was fine. Refrigerator barely cooled. Towels need to be bigger

Within two minutes of walking in, I found a cockroach moving on a bed. There were flies around the bathroom sink. The outdoor pool has been turned into a garden and is unsightly! The hotel was empty and now I know why. My husband asked for a refund and we got $10 back.

chose this place because reviews were good and there were limited options in this area. When we opened the door that evening and flipped on the lights, I noticed the beds nicely made and half turned down then saw a roach quickly scurry across the crisp white bed sheet and go under the blanket!! The mattress was marginal and both beds on platforms. I quickly scooted mattresses over a little and 2 more roaches crawled out from behind the second mattress!! No way was I staying here! The staff apologized and asked if I'd like to see another room on the opposite side of the building. It was late so I agreeded and didn't see any bugs in the second room so stayed only because it was so late. Also, it was obvious that they had some people living in this motel...people sitting in camp chairs outside their doors smoking and hanging out on balconies. It definitely had a sketchy vibe and we were a little worried about our car. There was good lighting in parking lot and we didnt have any issues, but there were lots of signs in the office about them not being responsible for valuables left in cars. I wouldn't stay here again. If your desperate or can't afford much more then it would get by for 1 night but it's a dice roll on what you'll find in your room and don't leave anything in tour car.

My room was great for the price. Very clean and accommodating. The property was clean and they had plenty of convenient parking.

Room was very clean! Coffee offered in morning. Pool was filled in with dirt. Prices on back of door had room listed for $199 a person. Not sure what that was about. Staff was polite and helpful. Good for just a stop and sleep.

We’ve stayed here multiple times without issue… this is the first time I’m leaving a horrible review. We got there last night and usually it’s okay but, it had a strong odor of pee- not to mention it wasn’t the cleanest as it normally is. Then this morning we wake up and in the matter of an hour there was 6 ROACHES. This is unacceptable and when brought to the front desk attention they just say they will check the room. That’s ridiculous they need to provide clean rooms and not just shrug it off like it seems as they did. Guarantee they won’t even fix the issue. They don’t care they’re just about making money and not compensating paying customers but you get what you pay for. The parking lot was full of screws all over that’s so unsafe for travelers. I won’t ever stay here again. SPEND THE EXTRA MONEY AND BOOK ELSEWHERE.

The outside of the property is rundown and dirty. The room is.rundown and dirty also. Hairwas foun in several areas. There was no shampoo. The blankets had burn holes and the sheets and pillowcase were dingy.

The room absolutely sucked. Bed was hard,floor was sticky,sheet had burn holes,no coffee maker,and room was just nasty as nasty can be. Thats why this filthy place doesn't offer refunds. Would not recommend.

It was clean and quiet. Perfect lay over spot to just sleep and get a shower. Went to Buc-ee’s for breakfast 😍 Would stay here again. Staff very friendly and was waiting for me after booking through Expedia.

the floor needed cleaning (noticed dirt on bare feet) could have used a kleenex box and AC was noisy

I booked my room based on reviews that it was a little run down, but clean. Since it was just an overnight I was happy just to have a clean room. But it was not!!!

I had a two night stay the room wasn’t cleaned bed where never changed with new sheets and there where no towels or wash clothes in the room on arrival poor place well not be staying there again

Room was reasonably clean, but the floor could have used a better mopping. Dog walking area needed cleaning and the garbage was overflowing. For a one-night stay while travelling with pets it was perfectly fine. Staff were welcoming, and accommodated my requests. Mexican restaurant across the parking lot is excellent!

Check in was a breeze the room smelled clean but when the toilet seat was lifted there were a lot less f long black hairs on the rim.

No matter where you laid in the bed, you can feel the springs. So uncomfortable. Woke up many times. And also the traffic on the highway was loud right outside the room. That woke me up several times along with the feeling the springs against my body. That mattress must have been at least 15yrs. old to get in that kind of condition. They also only give you one small bar of soap. No shampoo, cream rinse, lotion. The towel and wash cloth were also very worn to the point they were getting thin. It was bad enough that the bath towel was the smallest size they could have purchased. Had to go back to the office to tell her I didn't have a towel in the bathroom for my shower. She made me go back to the room to check the cabinet that she said is right next to the sink with all your towels, and washcloth on it. I told her the first time there is no cabinet next to the sink. But I went back to the room anyway. Then went back to the office and told her "there is no cabinet next to the sink, unless it is invisible. And just in case it was invisible, I put my hands down there to see if I'd be able to feel it. But I did not feel anything". She did not think that was funny and said I'm supposed to have a cabinet there. Then went and got me a towel.

The door frame was too wide for the door. Secondary lock was broken. No place in shower to place soap. But I was impressed with general maintenance. In general, traffic noise is a problem at the property.

Close to the Interstate, yet quiet. The air con unit was barely audible. Contemporary decor. Excellent Mexican restaurant next door, so I was able to order a Jumbo Margarita and walk home. On the minus side, the bottle opener on the bathroom door frame was hung upside-down and there weren’t grab bars in the tub/shower. Otherwise I was happy and comfortable.

The hotel was okay. Nothing special at all. Beds were not comfortable and pillows were thin. I didn’t expect much since it’s a Motel 6 but I had been told by others that previously stayed there that it was really nice. I wouldn’t consider it nice at all. There was no breakfast. We were not given the WiFi information either at check-in. Next time, I’ll pay a little more to stay somewhere else.

This motel has been updated recently which was nice. The room was mostly clean. A deep cleaning would be good. It was a quick overnight while traveling so overall it was fine for the price. However, the bed was so very hard. Our bodies ached the next day.

It had a great rating, so I gave it a chance. It's an exceptionally clean Motel 6, but it's still a park in front of your room, listen to the neighbors snore, drink, repeatedly lock their car doors, yell at each other, right next to the interstate Motel 6. In its class, it was well maintained, but the walls are thin and the windows and entrance door dont do much to dampen the constant noise.

Room clean, linens clean but stained. No refrigerator???? Lots of traffic noise. Overall fine for a place to sleep.

The bed was as hard as a rock. Lots of road noise and noise from a train. Very clean though.

It was cheap to stay but the room smelt like cigarettes and burn marks on the comforter. Bed not comfy and only 3 flat pillows.

Just a basic motel room with nothing too fancy but it was clean and warm. The shower worked well. The bed was very comfortable and east for me to get in, The room had a microwave and a fridge neither of which I needed but were a good idea. Television was easy to find channels and operate. Very close to the Fair site which was a plus.

This property was just fine, but check-in was pretty rude. The staff member at the front desk was quite impolite and abrasive. I felt I needed to apologize for my check-in interfering with her evening.

i reserved my room online and when i went to check in nobody came to help me. i. stood at the front desk for 20 minutes. I rang the bell 4 times and called 4 times but nobody ever came up so i left.

This was the worst experience. The girl at the front desk, Mary was the rudest person I have met in years. My 7 year old and I travel often, and always plug our ps5 in to stream, play games, etc. This tv was broken, the hdmi port was missing. We went to the front desk to politely ask if we could get a working tv…and I have never been treated so wrongly in my life at a hotel. Mary was beyond rude to my kid and I. We got a new room after being treated like we did something wrong. My sweet child couldn’t believe how mean this front desk rep was. “Mary” seems like is an awful person…people like that should be banned from customer service roles.. She kept insisting the tvs were just updated, and wouldn’t believe that it’s possible that something was up. I took pics and showed her. She still didn’t seem to care whatsoever, but gave a new room to us. A few minutes later she comes and pounds on our door and asks about the cable in our first room that was dangling, which I mentioned that’s what I was talking about the WHOLE TIME!!

At our check in the had us booked for the following week. The room we asked for we could not have. The bedroom floor was filthy, cracks in walls, the toilet roll holder was falling out the wall. There were no Kleenex. Very noisy, a vibration in the room, would not return or recommend

Inexpensive and conveniently located near major road. The road has some noise. The room was small and clean. Simple furniture. Not many food options around the motel.

was on front side of motel with I-75 noise... would ask next trip to be on backside for less noise. easy off and on to I-75 for travel to my concert in Mt. Vernon 18 miles away.

Front desk staff nice and courtious. Room was clean. Extreme highway noise. Sign on access road was damaged so hard to find. Overall area was not very nice

Our second time here this year wass again perfect. Good service, nice room and a great cafe for breakfast in nearby downtown Berea.

This is a good value for an overnight stay with your pet - no pet fee, nice clean room with fridge, microwave, table, and corner seating with a king size bed. No breakfast but local options abound.

Looks like they have recently remodeled. The place was clean & the room was good sized. No breakfast included, but for $50 that's ok. Some people complained (in reviews) about hearing traffic noise, but we turned on the A/C & didn't hear anything!
