La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Norfolk

My check in was great, the hallway smell like weed on my floor. My room was very clean. The parking lot was fine. I did not stay for breakfast.

There was literal blood residue all around the room. I went to inform the front desk and asked for a new room- no issues with the request. But she didn’t ask for any details.

We were assigned from 314. My son was in 312. We turned off our nightlight and turned it back on and lost all the power on 1/2 of the room the night Desk person had no clue how to handle things and was extreme in his gestures when he got frustrated. Eventually, after about 45 minutes, he moved us to room 310. My son was in 312 and they had trash and other items all over the room like it hadn’t been cleaned. We were definitely displeased with our stay and disappointed as we usually can rely on the La Quinta name. Checking out we mentioned the electrical issue to the front desk staff and there was no note made of it anywhere by the previous night staff. It’s concerning that there’s an electrical issue that was not investigated and that could be a extreme safety issue.

Hotel itself was ok but staff charged me for room at check-in even though I paid in full online before arriving. I have to wait up to 5 days to get my refund. No apologies. Poor customer service.

Please improve the breakfast it sucked.
