Aloft by Marriott Minneapolis

Convenient location, close walk to US Bank Stadium. Has a great bar, game room, pool, and patio area. Very helpful desk staff.

First time staying here in the city, loved my room and my stay. It was close to things and near where my conference was, I enjoyed my stay very much and would recommend again if coming back. Loved the coffee bar and the pool and gym, it was a great place to also get work done, hope to be back again soon!

The property says onsite parking which is really only 12 spots. Which means you have to pay for the parking ramp and if there is an event you pay $50 instead of the $25 onsite.

Parking was a mess. Pool was closed for maintenance and was not on the website.

Nice ambiant bar and lounge area with many games and good spots for pictures. Nice view depending on room, pool areas amazing, heated, and jacuzzi very nice. Staff was very helpful throughout the stay. Beds are super comfy and shower water pressure is amazing.

Pool and hot tub closed. Very disappointed.

The bartender was very abrasive and the drinks were incredibly overpriced. Hot tub not in service.

Parking! Two cars on a concert night very expensive in public ramp. No parking at hotel.

The location was great and had easy access to walking/biking paths down to the river. Trader Joe’s is just down the block and we were able to take advantage of that to grab snacks. It was a wonderful stay and we especially loved that our pup stayed for FREE! The pool and hot tub was a plus as well and the lobby has a pool table and other fun board games/activities. One of the most engaging hotel stays I’ve experienced.

Staff were courteous but not friendly or welcoming. My room had issues with the toilet (wouldn't flush twice) and the shade was stuck, when I called down to the front desk they said they would send maintenance upstairs but they never came, had to call again the next day and remind them. My side table had a layer of dust on it, and the bottom of the toilet bowl base had dried stuff on it (in general the room seemed to have been gently looked after but not deeply cleaned).

Shower was filthy/not clean - my feet turned bright red, swelled, and started to itch. I reported the incident to management, but was told to wait a couple days to talk to another member of management (Ashley). The bathroom vanity was filthy as well. I couldn't get going with my day if I wasnt clean. There were fleas, not flies walking on the door brochures /vanity brochures/advertisements. The tile and grout in the shower room, toilet room, and vanity room was dirty. The carpet in the bedroom was dirty as well. The carpet was blue and gray. The stains were brown, light brown, black and it has old food from and a previous occupant. The door did not fit the door frame. The lights/electricity seemed not to work when I clicked the switch.

Property is very clean

We had a wonderful stay this weekend. The staff is very attentive, friendly ,and always helpful. The room was immaculate and well-stocked with amenities. There are numerous restaurants within walking distance of the hotel. .

Hotel is modern, clean and comfortable. All of the staff we interacted with were very friendly. Walkable area with several restaurants and a Trader Joe’s. This was our third stay at this hotel while visiting our daughter at college.

I liked that the room was spacious and unique. The shower is surprisingly large too.

1 of the hardest beds I've ever slept on. Lots of street noise. The room otherwise was very nice and accommodating.

Overall, it was great. Clean and the staff was really nice. The bathroom setup is odd, though, and the walls are pretty thin.

The hotel was great. I only have a couple of gripes, but they probably are enough that I would look elsewhere next time. The shower sucked. There was not enough water pressure and it took a long time to take a shower because the water came out so slowly. The other problem I had is that the mattress kept sliding off of its base when I tried to sit in the bed to watch a movie. They need to put a non slip pad under it or something.

Our room was facing the street and you could hear all the sirens and traffic during the night. Not much sleep for us.

Very clean and the Shower was amazing, but the bed was not comfortable. Everything else was good, the staff was very courteous and helpful.

The property is in the happening downtown area which is perfect. Rooms are good but relatively small and basic - many lack privacy as the open window looks directly into the rooms across! and vis-a-versa. Having accepted all that - the down side is the pool is VERY small. And breakfast which we assumed was included was actually very basic and pricey - many dollars for a banana? cold sandwiches in the fridge to be bought and microwaved?! anything fresh was sweet - muffins and scones. There was supposedly a $ tradeoff per day - how corny is that If i had known earlier would have gone elsewhere to better choices - Aloft let me down.

Loved the games in the lobby!!! Pillows in our room needed replacing.

The employees at the reception desk were outstanding.

Check in was a disaster. They had 1 computer working. They could not issue room keys. No Wi-Fi. Staff escorted guests to room by floor to gain access to rooms. We stayed there there to attend an event @ US Bank Stadium as did many other guests. When the concert ended there were very long lines to gain access to our rooms. Between check-in, waiting to gain access to our room both before and after the concert we waited in line for 2 hours. There was 1 bartender working after the show. I felt sorry for her as the line for drinks was also long and cash only.

Long line at check-in...very slow. Manager stood and watched staff struggling, apologized for being understaffed but didn't help out. Stayed a full weekend and housekeeping never touched my room.

Friendly, helpful staff and great accommodations. I’ve stayed several places in Minneapolis. This is likely to be my new favorite!

I am a Professor at a large Midwestern university and I stayed at the Aloft 4 nights during a recent business/pleasure trip to Minneapolis. It turns out this was during a big NCAA basketball tournament in the Twin Cities, and the hotel was full. In addition to my very positive reviews of this hotel (above), I would like give special recognition to Aree, the front desk manger. She did an excellent job and went out of her way to help me out. During my first night at the hotel, the heater in my room broke down and Aree promptly facilitated my move to another (better) room; she also gave me a free breakfast coupon. While this seems like a simple set of transactions, it was not, and involved calls to an outside contractor (who fixes the heaters at the Aloft) as well as internal discussions with several hotel staff that came down to her educating them about the best course of action to follow, based on Marriott’s SOPs. During the rest of my visit, Aree was unfailingly pleasant and ready to help out with any needs. I should note that I sensed immediately upon my arrival that Aree was in command of the knowledge- and people- skills necessary to be an effective manager. In fact, hope that on my next visit to the Aloft she has been promoted to a position with wider influence in the Marriott organization!

The hotel was amazing- from the staff to the food to the gym to the location, it was fantastic. Would highly recommend.

At both check in and check out, front desk staff seemed bored, disinterested, disconnected. Didn't even look up, or bother to get my name right. I was clearly an inconvenience.

0/10 We get here & have a hard time with parking. We park in the temp spot & try to check in. You need a card to get inside. Luckily someone was walking out when we were checking a 3rd door. Front desk staff was VERY unprofessional. Asked my name, then asked for a booking #. I give him my phone so he can see my receipt himself. Finally finds it. I ask if he needs my ID or card. He shrugs & takes both, then just says he charged $150 to my card. There was zero warning or explanation of an incidental deposit. I ask about parking, he says “Street parking is free. Sorry if I seem off, just wanna get out of here, ya know?” He hands me the room key then moves on to the next person. Well, street parking is NOT free. Had to find a parking garage & pay by the hour. Come back inside with our bag & realize he never told us ANYTHING. I ask front desk staff how to find our room & she rudely says “The elevator is right there” like I was bothering her. We set our stuff in our room & notice an odor but we’re in a hurry so we accept it, change quick, & head to Target Field. Get back close to 12 AM. The floor of our room is now SOAKED (guessing leaking AC by location) & the smell is amplified X10. Smells like death. I go to tell front desk. After making me wait absurdly long- tries telling me all other rooms are sold out. I show her a video. Rooms not stay-able. Tries forcing me into a queen with attitude. I refused, she was very rude. Another gal came & magically had a king. Awful.

I wish i could give this property zero stars for their staff. When we arrived on Friday they said their system was down due to a earlier storm, and someone would have to let us into our room but the issue would be fixed soon and we would be issue a key card that never happened. Staff told her to leave our doors open for easier access so they would not have to keep coming upstairs to let us into our room. Friday night everything was ok. Saturday night they locked the front door at about 10pm we still didn’t have a key card so i was standing outside the hotel for about 10 minutes while staff stared at me without letting me in. Once i was let in, i proceed to walked to my room which i left opened as i only went outside to grab something quickly from my car. I proceed to let the front desk lady who now i know name was Bree that i was staying in room 320 and she scream i need to see your ID i informed her i just came outside to grab something and my room was unlocked she said she couldn’t let me into the hotel without an idea i handed her my phone with my id on it and once she confirmed she shoved my phone back into my hands. I asked her why would you do that that is very rude at this point I’m beyond annoyed and asked her for her name and not sure if Bree is her real name or not. I went upstairs my husband followed me two minutes later and the same staff informed him he was not allowed upstairs although our last names are the same because she stated his name was not on the bookin

Great location for theater and dining. Also loved the Riverside walks and park area.

It was very close to US Bank Stadium. The rooms were clean and the front desk staff was excellent. Nice underground parking.

Comfy beds! Close to the Guthrie and walking along the river!! Also, great restaurants in the area!

THIS PROPERTY HAS A GREAT LOCATION, YOU CAN CRAWL TO THE Guthrie.

Very convenient to Minneapolis downtown riverfront area near Guthrie Theater, Gold Medal Park, Mill City Museum, and US Bank Stadium. Breakfast is not free, but the lobby has a restaurant, bar, and free pool table. There are various restaurants nearby and also a Trader's Joe's one block away.

My check in was supposed to be at 11am and my room wasn’t ready until 2pm. The hotel only had a few breakfast options, none gluten free, no other food options other than snacks. Service however was wonderful and the hotel was very clean.

Hot breakfast options made to order in the mornings. Dinner options as well. Relaxed bar and lobby area with lots of artistic design. Free self-serve lemon/lime/cucumber water in lobby area. Magnetic shower door is sooo much better than the typical slide ones

The staff were really nice for the most part. Loved the pet accommodations, they didn’t charge a deposit which I really appreciated. The food was terrible, and the menu was extremely limited. They did not have airport shuttles which was inconvenient. But for the price, I’d stay there again.

One thing I wish could have been different was the breakfast. I wish it was more like a continental breakfast and not like a Starbucks. There should have been traditional breakfast options and it should be included with the purchase of the hotel stay. I wasn’t a fan that we had to pay for the breakfast in addition to the stay. It should be included.

This was my first time staying at an ALoft and I was thoroughly impressed. The location was perfect, the lounge area was great, full bar, and great staff. It was a hotel but it had me feel like I was home living in my luxury apartment. Truly perfect experience and look forward to staying at these locations more frequently.

Beautiful, well kept and clean. Little noisy with sirens. Bartender was absolutely amazing! Very fun lobby.

Aloft staff were all very friendly and helpful. The lobby and bar area is very funky and fun and there are a variety of games available to play. The service at the wxyz bar was excellent, and after trying several of the food menu items, I would say that the food was great, too! Reserved parking was extremely easy and convenient. Would definitely stay here again!

The breakfast was a scam. Definitely not worth paying for.
