Hotel do Norte

O desconforto começa na recepção, onde uma funcionária sem empatia alguma faz o check in. Para piorar, ela nos deu um quarto no 5o andar, em um hotel cujo elevador existe apenas como decoração. Cinco andares em escadas íngrimes e com degraus enormes. Se você quer fazer um bom exercício para as pernas, hospede-se nesse hotel. Mas lembre-se: a única coisa realmente boa nele é o check-out. Procure outro, sério. Não tem café da manhã.

Todo muy bien, fuera de que el hotel no cuenta con elevador y nos tocó una habiatacion en el piso 5, pero todo bien.

Sehr zentral am Bolhão-Markt mit gleichnamiger Metro-Station gelgen und so ein idealer Ausgangspunkt um die Stadt zu erkunden. Das Hotel machte einen etwas altbackenen Eindruck und mein (Bade-)Zimmer war schon sehr beengt. Tisch und Stuhl gab es nicht. Ein Aufzug zu meinen Zimmer im vierten Stock war nicht nutzbar und bedeutete sich im engen Treppenhaus-Labyrinth zwischen Alt- und Neubau zurechtzufinden.

Excelente localização, estação de metrô Bolhão do outro lado da rua, a 200m do mercado Bolhão, ao lado de 1 parede de azulejos maravilhosa (atração turística), esquina com a principal rua (Sta Catarina) de comércio e restaurantes. Do lodo tem um shopping com supermercado. Desvantagens: Hotel com mobiliário muito antigo, quarto pequeno, banheiro apertado, até o segundo andar não tem elevador, elevador só a partir do segundo andar. Mas na minha opinião compensa muito pela localização e facilidades perto.

Good location, but that's about it. The elevator doesn't work so had to climb 5 floors. The AC didn't work in my room. The walls are thin and you can hear every noise. The bed was uncomfortable and creaky. Bathroom smelled, and the shower was dirty.

The hotel is excellent value for the price. It is very well located, close to a great many attractions and to the Metro. The staff were friendly and helpful with 24 hour reception service. The room was clean and comfortable. Our room was on the third floor and the lift access is from the 2nd floor to the 3rd rather than from the ground floor. We used the stairs after our arrival as it was simpler and we're mobile enough for it not to be a big issue.

Et gammelt hotell midt i det gamle centrum. OK senge. Hjælpsom personale. Korte afstand til intressante historiske steder o museer. Tæt på det store market. Meget trafik mest om dagen. Ingen morgenmad. Gå afstand til meget o Metro i nærheden.

Acomodação antiga, banheiro precário. Fomos Alocados no 4o andar e o hotel não possui elevador. Wi-Fi com sinal oscilante e quase sempre sem conexão.

I had a horrible struggle trying to sleep here without earplugs as the windows do not fully seal (see photos), thus all of the street noise leaks in all night. To make things worse, nearby there was what I assume is a traffic signal that loudly beeped all night long. If staying here, bringing good earplugs is a must. That being said, I would not stay here again due to the noise issue. Otherwise, the room was OK as someone who doesn't mind modest accommodations but there were several other smaller, (for me) non-deal breaker issues with the room: 1. The WIFI was pretty weak and did not cover the entire room 2. The room is very tight, was OK for a solo traveler but wouldn't be nice with 2. Also, you can't sit straight on the toilet (have to sit on an angle since its so close to the wall). 3. The water temperature in the shower is incredibly hard to control. 4. Outside of the bathroom, I only had one power outlet accessible that wasn't blocked by heavy furniture, and even that one was behind the minifridge. 5. The double bed in my room was very short. At 6'1, I had to sleep diagonally on the bed. It has to be so short since the room is so narrow. 6. The door is pretty thin so hallway noise gets in. Luckily as a small hotel there's very little hallway traffic. Otherwise, the property is dependable, the staff were great, it was overall clean, and room service was as expected. The location is fantastic if you don't mind the 10-15 walk to the historic district.

Since the elevator doesn’t work it is a 4 floor walk up. Telephone didn’t work and no plan to fix it. Half of staff was very competent. Room was very small.

The place is very good for the price, as it is located on the heart of Porto, I stayed there for 4 nights and my room where cleaned every single day the staff were amazing and friendly with a lot of amazing recommendations for things to do in Porto yet I couldn’t do all but definitely I’ll come back again.

La chambre était propre. Le ménage était fait tout les jours avec changement de serviettes. Le personnel est gentil et respectueux. L'hôtel est très bien placé dans l’un des quartiers le plus vivant de Porto. Vous séjourner à quelques pas du Marché de Bolhao.

Funcionário bem simpáticos, localização excelente. Infelizmente haviam alguns fios de cabelo no quarto, nas duas camas, também caíram 2 fios de cabelo da toalha de banho quando a desdobrei ou seja ainda limpa. É preciso verificar com mais atenção. De resto tudo okay!

El Hotel está en una zona muy bien ubicada, para pasar una noche es perfecto, a pesar de que la limpieza no sea muy buena.

I recently stayed at Hotel do Norte, booked through Expedia, and I’m extremely disappointed. Despite being a regular client for over ten years, this was the worst experience I’ve had. I’m shocked it has a 7.5 rating. From the start, the receptionist was rude and unhelpful, and we didn’t receive any local information. Our room was on the third floor with no elevator, which was very difficult due to my severe back pain. We asked for a different room, but the staff refused to check availability or assist us. Additionally, the hotel required guests to leave their room key at the front desk whenever they left, which felt intrusive and made us uneasy about security. The room was tiny, with barely enough space to move. The bed was very close to the door, the TV was out of view, and the room was covered in dust. The bedding was filthy and unchanged throughout our stay, and we found a used sanitary pad in the bed, raising serious hygiene concerns. The bathroom was extremely small, with no space between the toilet and door. The hotel provided insufficient toiletries. The air conditioning malfunctioned, causing the room to become unbearably hot, with temperatures reaching 30°C in the middle of the night, leaving us drenched in sweat and exhausted. Given these issues and the $145 USD per night charge, I’m requesting a full refund. I hope you will address this issue seriously and consider removing this hotel from your platform to prevent future guests from having a similar experience

It looks much better on the pictures than it was in reality. It’s very old and worn out and it was a awful stench of some kind of perfume or essential oil in the room so that I hardly could breathe without keeping the window wide open. The room was also very small and didn’t have any space to put up my luggage. Otherwise the woman in the reception was very kind and helpful.

Okay lille hotel. Mest fordi det var billigt. Mit rum var meget lille og sengen og jeg måtte kravle langs væggene for ik at støde ind noget. Samme med badeværelset. Meget småt. Måtte sidde på tværs så mine knæ ik stødte på væggen. Men godt tilfreds trods da meget andet var hostels det mit budget

Fik værelse ud imod vejen, hvor vinduet ikke kunne holde lyden fra bilerne ude. Næsten ingen forskel om det var åbnet eller lukket. Badeværelse slidt og med diverse manglende dele til bruser og håndvask

Es un hotel muy céntrico y antiguo. Valoro positivamente la atención de recepción y la ubicación. Dado que es antiguo, la insonorización es mala y se oye el tráfico y la gente de la calle, las ventanas ajustan mal y el suelo está inclinado. La practicidad lo compensa

The hotel building is old, the room was small, the bed was sinking. Its a good place to stay to shower, sleep and not to spend time in the room. Beddings were changed daily, they try to make it nice, But whoever owns it, they should upgrade the beds. If they upgrade the place, they can charge more because it is in the heart of shops, restaurants, mall and in-front of Santa Catalina Church the famous building covered with tiles. Thanks to staff, they were nice.

The location is great. Walkable. Safe. But the hotel is old so the bathrooms are kind of old fashioned and minimal. Shops and eating places very nearby. Staff is great.

AC was amazingly quiet. Room had magnificent view outside my window. But bathroom was very old fashioned and the hotel is old but it was a good experience

Great staff, very friendly, sincere & helpful. The metro was a three minute walk from the hotel. Plenty of shopping nearby. The street performers were exceptional! The Balhao market was tremendous. The culinary options were very varied. The crafts on offer, were magnificent too.

the photos advertised did not match the real hotel at all we were given a room that was not ready at all then offered another room on the 5th floor , no lift that resembled a hostel room very small no natural light , old tired and not that clean. No safe and told every time we leave the hotel we had to hand our keys in so did not feel that safe We did not stay there and left immediately luckily found another hotel that we had to pay for

Das Hotel ist zentral gelegen. Metrostation in der Nähe. Die Zimmer sind sauber, aber zur Straßenseite sehr laut. Das Personal sehr nett und hilfsbereit.

Fantastic location for shopping, dining, and walking to attractions. Right by Decathlon, Market, Via Caterina pedestrian street.

Ein einfaches aber zweckmäßiges Hotel. Lage unschlagbar, Personal nett. Es gab nichts zu beanstanden. Wer Luxus will ist hier falsch, aber alles ist soweit in Ordnung. Liegt direkt an viel befahrener straße in Altstadt, also schon lauter- was für mich ok war

Hotel Do Norte is honest, offers fair quality for the prices, everything is clean, works, there was no unfortunate surprises. I enjoyed the stay and did not target a high price star hotel. This was ideal. Location just across one of the top church visitor sites, the market, and the centre city/river was ideal.
