Very tired property, shower didn’t work very well at all, no Wi-Fi and a lot of carpets taped up with quite a few wooden fixtures badly damaged. Will not be returning here.

Hotel is attached to a pub so there was always availability for food / drink. Breakfast at pub prices instead of hotel prices. Cocktails were nice. Bedroom was basic but had everything you needed. No lift that I found. Carpets near the bedrooms are worn out and need replacing but there was nothing wrong with the hotel and the staff were very friendly.

Friendly pub / hotel, listed building with old windows, etc but clean, tidy, friendly staff, excellent value for money, food quality and price - you couldn't ask for better.

On arrival check in was easy and good, unfortunately not disabled friendly, Staff member Mark helped by carrying our luggage upstairs to the room as husband on crutches, room was at the far end of the corridor and no lift. No disabled parking either. Room clean, but could do with being redecorated. Shower was quite poor and not very powerful and the water was exceptionally hot. Ate in the bar the first night, meal was ordered, on arrival my garlic bread was cold reported it and was told it would be replaced. Finished the meal and still no replacement garlic bread, on going to pay, gave feedback to Mark who apologised and gave us the meal for free. Both other nights we ate in the restaurant, Sean was a very attentive hardworking member of the team who provided us with good service and the food was excellent.

Stayed here for a few weeks working . Old fashioned rooms but very functional. Creaky floorboards in the hallways due to it being an old building. Food reasonable in the bar downstairs. Plenty of parking in a quiet area. Beds are clean and comfortable

Clean and functional. Rooms are old fashioned. I book this for work purposes but wouldn’t book for a holiday break . Old building with creaky floors . Pub and restaurant are convenient below rooms.

The hotel had very good wifi, we did not eat there, found the carpet a bit worn in places but it was fine for a few nights.

Situated in the Port Sunlight model village, a wonderful area to wander around. This historic building is part of a chain - as such, the menus reflect this. But the food was fine - we had breakfast included, and it was generally well done. There was a lack of consistent information about the breakfast serving time, though -some other guests were told different times. The room was good, with a good size en-suite. There was a slight noise during the day from a ventilation duct outside our window, but this wasn't running late, or overnight. Whilst the pub is below, we noticed no noise. The absence of USB sockets in the room shows the hotel needs a slight update - and worn stair carpet also points to it being due, but this is minor. The bed was too firm for my liking, giving me a slight backache, but I know this is a personal thing.

We had a nice big, clean room. Plenty of heat and very quiet. Parking was handy. The restaurant food was good English food and the bar was pleasant and welcoming.

The place was in need of a huge refurbishment. Threadbare carpet in dangerous places (stairs). Room clean initially but not cleaned through the week we were there. Decided lack of options for breakfast...awaiting delivery...all week!!?

My full English breakfast was perfectly cooked and excellent value. I wasn't charged for extra eggs and tea and toast to finish with. The parking was good and the location beautiful next to the model village of Sunlight.

The hotel is ideal to visit Port Sunlight or the Lady Lever art gallery. Its very central and 6/7 minutes walk from the station. The staff were friendly however its showing its age and many carpets were worn through and the feel is very 1960s. It was clean enough but room service was minimalistic. Biggest problem was the restaurant as my partner is vegetarian and gluten free and there was nothing for her on the massive menu and staff wouldn't make sides into a meal. If you are a meat/wheat eater there is a massive choice and prices are cheap. Luckily there was a small Italian (not open every day) about 10 mins walk away just under the railway bridge.

Warm welcome from staff on arrival, and went out of way to arrange kitchen to stay open for a meal after late arrival. Food was limited (with restaurant closed) but very good meal. The whole place is tired and in need of some refurbishment. My room was particularly in need of change, tired furniture, poor quality bed and particularly the bathroom was very old and basic. A good clean would have been nice too. The other issue was that the free Wi-Fi was not password protected and I could not get it to open anything on the iPad. Consequently I had to breakfast elsewhere where I could get a decent Wi-Fi connection. I was told that a make-over is on the cards, but will probably not stay again until this has gone through. Shame as I used to stay here a lot about 10 years ago.

The whole place was awful. I had driven 5 hours from London. When I got there I had to wait although check in time was 2 didn’t get in the room until 3 . The room was awful . Old moth eaten carpet. Window ledge filthy . I complained to the boy at reception and he went and spoke to the manager . He came back and said it had been noted. If I could have found somewhere else to stay I would have gone. I’m very disappointed and will be taking this matter further.

We had 2 nights at the Bridge Inn Hotel. Our room wasn't serviced after the 1st night. We didn't expect towels to be changed or a deep clean. Check toiletries, toilet roll soap etc. Top up tea and coffee. These are basics. Had to chase around and ask bar staff for coffee! On a plus, the Bridge Inn is in a great location. Port Sunlight is a great place to visit.

Only things missing for me was only 1 teabag/milk per person in the room (would have liked another for the morning); and reception wasn't always obvious or easy to find someone to answer questions (but when they did they were super helpful).

Do not book this hotel i went in the room , the smell of urine was disgraceful i had cleansing wipes with me and was cleaning key points of contact. Opened window and knew i couldn't stay in the room. Then the door would not open after a time i managed to open the door. The door would not close after leaving room. Went to reception and told them the details as above. Asked for another room told non available. Had a refund and staff did apologised.

We are regular visitors to The Bridge and have always found staff friendly and helpful. Although the decor en route to rooms is a little worn the bedrooms themselves are nicely decorated, clean and comfortable. The restaurant is a useful facility and provides good value for money

The room was basic but clean, bed was very firm, shower was very poor- water leaked everywhere and was no more than a trickle so we had to have baths instead (room 5) The checkout time on our booking via Expedia was 12 noon but we were advised by the staff that we had to be out by 11

We stayed at the Bridge inn for a long weekend break whilst visiting family. Our room was very basic which is what was expected, however the bathroom was extremely dated and the shower was totally unusable. It was essentially a hose attached to the taps and was absolutely scalding hot, even when turning the cold all the way up and the hot all the way down. Breakfast was very disappointing and we were shocked to see that it was £9 for those eating in the one room, however if you went into the restaurant/bar area, all the menus advertise breakfast for around £5. After seeing this we went elsewhere for breakfast as felt ripped off. We ate in the restaurant on our last night and the food was your typical microwave/pre cooked pub food but was cheap so can’t complain. Most staff didn’t really interact with us, however will say the lady working the breakfast was lovely. We did have an issue with getting additional toilet rolls, tea and coffee for the room as the staff working didn’t know where they were kept. Instead we were given a giant roll normally used in public toilets (the ones that go in the dispensers) and a handful of sweetener from the bar. We did also notice that the carpets throughout the hotel were threadbare and ripped, particularly on the stairs, which made the place look very run down and neglected. All in all, the only thing we could highly rate was the location as it was perfectly located for nearby family, however we won’t be returning in the future.

Faulty Towers. Building needs refurbishment. Most of the staff were pleasent but didn't see the manager. Reception area rarely covered. Bar staff refused to serve us at 10.45pm as she had rung the bell at 10.40pm. Had to ask for coffee satchets 3 times to be put in room and when the staff did she put 2 satchets in and it was a family room and we had another 2 days. Husband was asked to remove his baseball cap in the bar they said because of security and cameras in the bar. There was only 2 of us in the bar? Took half an hour to wait for breakfast on last day and they came to the table whilst we were eating to ask us to clear our rooms as we were late checking out. Forgot to pay for breakfast one morning and that evening the pub was busy and girl on the bar till said we have an outstanding payment as we did not pay for breakfast. Loud enough for other customers to hear. Would have been more professional to sort it out when we checked out as we assumed the breakfast bill would be put on our tab. Gave up on the toilet roll being re filled and bought our own. Wanted to sit on table in higher deck of restaurant but told we couldn't, although there was a table of four sitting there. The staff are very pleasent but need training to offer a more professional service. The bridge is a lovely old building but needs substantial investment. However it is a cash cow waiting to happen.

Evening meal the first night i waited about 40 minutes for the meal to arrive (the food itself was good).The second night there were no bar staff behind the bar for about 10 minutes with customers all waiting. Two other people complained that they had waited half an hour for food at which point the staff said the computer in the kitchen might not be picking up orders from the bar computer so i left to make other arrangements which was inconvenient.

Receptionist didn’t speak or look up when we checked out. Too engrossed in his own phone.

Great Hotel for overnight accomodation when going to Northern Ireland via the Liverpool-Belfast ferry. Tkes around 15 minutes from the hotel to the ferry terminal. The surrounding area is great with a lot of Heritage. Well worth staying here if you like the Heritage of the place.

I personally really loved the area, it was quite easy to get around by car or walking. The hotel is located inside a small village, the area around it is very nice, green and quiet. The staff was great and friendly, the food was okay, but the infrastructure of the hotel most definitely needs an update. Walls are cracking in the room, I found a whole on the ceiling in the bathroom from a water leak that, you can just tell this home was built in the late 1800s. Overall it’s a great place to stay, and you get your money worth (compared to other places it’s quite affordable imo)

Grade 2 listed building unfortunately dated accomodations and furnishings but by all means happily stay again as love port sunlight village, friendly staff in the bridge 👌.

Nice original Arts and Crafts inn appropriate for Port Sunlight. Somewhat neglected by its owners. Room and bathroom basic but spacious, good firm bed. Good value. Only real problem was that no breakfast was available as the cook hadn't turned up by 8am.
