This property was perfect for our Ponchatoula adventure. The owner was so easy to communicate and work with. The house and yard was clean and just right for us. Great front porch for us to gather and visit. Loved the location. Always felt safe. So HAPPY I found this home for us to use.

My family (Wife, son (11yrs), Mother, Father-in-law, and small dog (Otis)) found Ursula's home both inviting, very well maintained, and comfy. It's what we all needed after being on the road for nearly 8hrs. The beds were clean and comfortable. The living room was just big enough for us to unwind and a nice big table in the kitchen gave us a nice area to eat a quick dinner and all be together. The fenced-in and newly mowed backyard provided Otis with a fun area to do his business and run around. Ponchatoula also offered just enough options for dinner, morning coffees, and gas for our needs. All within 5min. from the house. I'd be happy to recommend this friendly location, quiet house, and attentive (highly organized) homeowner (Ursula/Jeff) to anyone traveling with a larger group.

Fabulous restored home in quaint Ponchatoula!! It was perfect for our group of 8 guests, and we appreciated the little touches like extra water and snacks. We loved the nice beds and comfy furniture in living room. The carport was nice as well, as it was raining when we arrived! The yard and corner lot we very well kept - and the neighborhood was easy to walk around. Great family reunion trip, and perfect stay!!

We had a great stay! We enjoyed the nice size yard with soft grass, outside BBQ and picnic area. Perfect place to unwind after a busy day. The home was clean and all the rooms were comfortable. If we needed anything at all, the owners were very responsive. We will come back for sure. Thank you for sharing your home.

The home was very accommodating - relaxing lighting and music was a cozy welcome for our stay in Ponchatoula. Nice, quiet and safer option to staying in NOLA. We played basketball, did some porch sitting, scoped out the orange tree (first time I ever saw one!) and watched a movie. Just a short drive from anything you could possibly need. I realized my husband didn’t load my luggage and we even made a trip to Target for wardrobe. Everyone rested well in this quiet neighborhood. Some of us are history buffs/admirers so the home was fascinating. Ursula had snacks and coffee available- even left us strawberries to enjoy. We made the short drive to Middendorf’s and had a wonderful dinner. Even though Ursula is a LSU fan, she was an amazing hostess. I’m hoping this is our yearly tradition. Woooo Pig Sooie

Ursala's house in Ponchatula was perfect. It was neat and clean and supplied with all the essentials we needed. It was within walking distance from the town, which we did daily. We were 10 minutes away from our family who we were visiting in Hammond. The fenced in backyard was a real plus as we had two dogs with us. They loved it! Thank you so much Ursala for makinig us feel at home while away.

What can I say but WOW!! From the minute I opened the door and looked inside this charming house I knew I made the right decision. This house is loaded to the max with anything you would need for your stay. It is so beautifully decorated and in a great neighborhood. Had no problem with neighbors or excessive noise. If we are we’ve in the area again we would definitely choose to stay here! Ponchatoula is a great little town with charming shops, nice antique stores and cutting edge places to dine. Thank you for making our stay enjoyable!!!! 10 out of 10 stars

This house was perfect to house family for my son’s wedding. It was great to have a house that equipped with wonderful, homey amenities such as a back yard with a Great firepit for friends to sit around and gather. Like home away from home.

I rented as the ad stated, 4 bedrooms, 2 baths, sleeps 9. No where did it state that only two people are allowed and everyone else is more. Also, the air conditioning did not work properly and the owner stated that the hole in the outside unit that causes the AC not to work; was caused by a hurricane IDA that occurred 4 years ago. The night that we got there was horrible, the air conditioning didn't work (the house was at 80 degrees) and termites were swarming and literally coming out of the holes in the walls. We were covered in flying termites and had to retreat to our rooms. In my room that i stayed in, i stepped to the side of the tv to figure out why a wire was dangling and it wasnt working...that's when i fell through the floor. The owner admitted that the hole had been there for some time and that i should not have been in that room. He had a rug over the hole which was open to the outside. I rented a four bedroom house, not a three bedroom. On our second day, after telling the owner about the problems, he tried to extort me into paying an extra $275 fee for my extra employees. I told him that i didn't think that was fair or ethical because the house was not up to expected standards and that i would pay the fee if he fixed the Air conditioning and checked on the bug problem. He refused to compromise and had me and my employees evicted by the police at 7pm. As i have dug deeper into these crooks, I have found that this is a common occurrence. DO NOT RENT

The property was fine. Perfect for 9 people. There were some holes in the floor and it could use a good deep cleaning. The complimentary breakfast that is offered consisted of a box of open waffles in the freezer. The host Jeff and Ursula were a nightmare. First off Jeff shows up at the house and talks to my underage granddaughter about the gate that he heard was broken. He knew about the gate because of the cameras he has watching. We offered to fix the gate but he said he would fix it himself. Then he started about the mix up with the number of people booked to stay in the home. So my family and my 82 year old parents were threatened with eviction in the middle of the night. The eviction notice and threat came through my personal text instead of VRBO. Jeff asked for the extra money through Venmo instead of using VRBO. I refused. The person I spoke with at VRBO said I did the right thing by refusing to pay him. I paid the money owed to VRBO and finished our travels.

Very beautifully restored home in a quiet neighborhood. Well kept with everything needed, Ursula is an excellent host, she was very responsive and even decorated for Christmas. Great little neighborhood and community. Will be hoping to book again when we return.

We had a great time visiting with our granddaughter while she was on Spring Break from LSU staying in this charming 1886 restored home! It was perfect for our family and our host went above what we needed! We recommend highly and hope to come back soon!! Thanks Ursula

This is a beautiful historic home that the owner has kept in beautiful shape that lets the old character of the home shine through. The home comfortably fit all 7 of us and let us enjoy some family time.

Mrs. Ursula was fantastic when we had a small issue we had to deal with..The home was VERY well stocked for us..She thought of everything! All in our group were very happy with the home..Wifi was a bit slow, but we weren't there for that..lol! Recommend to those visiting for the Louisiana Renaissance Fest..short 18 minute drive..

Having stayed here once 2 weeks prior on our way through Louisiana, we just booked this great place again. Glad we did as the 2nd stay was just as good as the 1st. Ursula is so easy to get a hold of. She made sure the house was nice a cool (which was great considering how hot it has been). Everything clean and ready to go as usual. This is a great space for a larger group of people. All bedrooms are a good size and highly functional. Happy to recommend this classic of a home to anyone going through the New Orleans/Hammond/Ponchatoula area. Oh, yes, it's quiet and comfy.

I rented as the ad stated, 4 bedrooms, 2 baths, sleeps 9. No where did it state that only two people are allowed and everyone else is more. Also, the air conditioning did not work properly and the owner stated that the hole in the outside unit that causes the AC not to work; was caused by a hurricane IDA that occurred 4 years ago. The night that we got there was horrible, the air conditioning didn't work (the house was at 80 degrees) and termites were swarming and literally coming out of the holes in the walls. We were covered in flying termites and had to retreat to our rooms. In my room that i stayed in, i stepped to the side of the tv to figure out why a wire was dangling and it wasnt working...that's when i fell through the floor. The owner admitted that the hole had been there for some time and that i should not have been in that room. He had a rug over the hole which was open to the outside. I rented a four bedroom house, not a three bedroom. On our second day, after telling the owner about the problems, he tried to extort me into paying an extra $275 fee for my extra employees. I told him that i didn't think that was fair or ethical because the house was not up to expected standards and that i would pay the fee if he fixed the Air conditioning and checked on the bug problem. He refused to compromise and had me and my employees evicted by the police at 7pm. As i have dug deeper into these crooks, I have found that this is a common occurrence. DO NOT RENT

Our weekend stay was amazing, I can't say enough good things about it!! The hospitality was outstanding from the moment we arrived. This house is perfect for family gatherings! The only way it would be better was if it was in the woods so we could go camping there

The property was fine. Perfect for 9 people. There were some holes in the floor and it could use a good deep cleaning. The complimentary breakfast that is offered consisted of a box of open waffles in the freezer. The host Jeff and Ursula were a nightmare. First off Jeff shows up at the house and talks to my underage granddaughter about the gate that he heard was broken. He knew about the gate because of the cameras he has watching. We offered to fix the gate but he said he would fix it himself. Then he started about the mix up with the number of people booked to stay in the home. So my family and my 82 year old parents were threatened with eviction in the middle of the night. The eviction notice and threat came through my personal text instead of VRBO. Jeff asked for the extra money through Venmo instead of using VRBO. I refused. The person I spoke with at VRBO said I did the right thing by refusing to pay him. I paid the money owed to VRBO and finished our travels.

My daughter and I stayed here while in town for her softball tournament in Hammond. The home was very cozy and spacious. She is very accommodating and provides several extra amenities. It's within walking distance to the quaint town with several restaurants and stores. We will definitely be back.We were only there for a short time

We were in town for a family wedding and this spot was perfect! I think it’s safe to say this is one of the best and most beautiful homes I’ve ever stayed in. It was cozy and stocked with everything we could need. Ursula was amazing with responding immediately! I will definitely recommend this spot to anyone heading to Ponchatoula and we will definitley be back!!

Very beautifully restored home in a quiet neighborhood. Well kept with everything needed, Ursula is an excellent host, she was very responsive and even decorated for Christmas. Great little neighborhood and community. Will be hoping to book again when we return.

I am originally from Ponchatoula, came home for Mardi Gras. Our host was in a parade we thought we were not going to be here in time for. They left goodie bags for us all. They were very help with every request. I will choose this home again.

Mrs. Ursula was fantastic when we had a small issue we had to deal with..The home was VERY well stocked for us..She thought of everything! All in our group were very happy with the home..Wifi was a bit slow, but we weren't there for that..lol! Recommend to those visiting for the Louisiana Renaissance Fest..short 18 minute drive..

My family (Wife, son (11yrs), Mother, Father-in-law, and small dog (Otis)) found Ursula's home both inviting, very well maintained, and comfy. It's what we all needed after being on the road for nearly 8hrs. The beds were clean and comfortable. The living room was just big enough for us to unwind and a nice big table in the kitchen gave us a nice area to eat a quick dinner and all be together. The fenced-in and newly mowed backyard provided Otis with a fun area to do his business and run around. Ponchatoula also offered just enough options for dinner, morning coffees, and gas for our needs. All within 5min. from the house. I'd be happy to recommend this friendly location, quiet house, and attentive (highly organized) homeowner (Ursula/Jeff) to anyone traveling with a larger group.

Fabulous restored home in quaint Ponchatoula!! It was perfect for our group of 8 guests, and we appreciated the little touches like extra water and snacks. We loved the nice beds and comfy furniture in living room. The carport was nice as well, as it was raining when we arrived! The yard and corner lot we very well kept - and the neighborhood was easy to walk around. Great family reunion trip, and perfect stay!!

What can I say but WOW!! From the minute I opened the door and looked inside this charming house I knew I made the right decision. This house is loaded to the max with anything you would need for your stay. It is so beautifully decorated and in a great neighborhood. Had no problem with neighbors or excessive noise. If we are we’ve in the area again we would definitely choose to stay here! Ponchatoula is a great little town with charming shops, nice antique stores and cutting edge places to dine. Thank you for making our stay enjoyable!!!! 10 out of 10 stars

We had a great stay! We enjoyed the nice size yard with soft grass, outside BBQ and picnic area. Perfect place to unwind after a busy day. The home was clean and all the rooms were comfortable. If we needed anything at all, the owners were very responsive. We will come back for sure. Thank you for sharing your home.

The home was very accommodating - relaxing lighting and music was a cozy welcome for our stay in Ponchatoula. Nice, quiet and safer option to staying in NOLA. We played basketball, did some porch sitting, scoped out the orange tree (first time I ever saw one!) and watched a movie. Just a short drive from anything you could possibly need. I realized my husband didn’t load my luggage and we even made a trip to Target for wardrobe. Everyone rested well in this quiet neighborhood. Some of us are history buffs/admirers so the home was fascinating. Ursula had snacks and coffee available- even left us strawberries to enjoy. We made the short drive to Middendorf’s and had a wonderful dinner. Even though Ursula is a LSU fan, she was an amazing hostess. I’m hoping this is our yearly tradition. Woooo Pig Sooie

We came is from Houston stayed 3 nights for a wedding and to visit family. I grew up just a few blocks an away so the location was very nostalgic. The house was exactly the right fit for our trip and easily accommodated our group. We had everything we needed for the stay the host’s extra touches were appreciated. We enjoyed breakafast at Paul’s cafe and dinner at Roux and Brew. We shopped at all the stores along Main st and spent several house just relaxing on the front porch. We will be booking again for our next visit.

We had a lovely stay! The home was very well equipped with everything we needed, making it comfortable and easy to settle in. This house was very charming. The host was very helpful and responded to messages very quickly! She knew great places to shop and eat. Any question or problem that I had was immediately addressed and resolved. The beds were very comfortable and there were plenty of linens for both beds and bath. There were 3 different outside sitting areas which was very helpful because they were situated in such a way that you had a pleasant place to be outside no matter where the sun was positioned. I highly recommend this VRBO!

This house was very charming. The host was very helpful and responded to messages very quickly! She knew great places to shop and eat. Any question or problem that I had was immediately addressed and resolved. The beds were very comfortable and there were plenty of linens for both beds and bath. There were 3 different outside sitting areas which was very helpful because they were situated in such a way that you had a pleasant place to be outside no matter where the sun was positioned.
