Mannings is in a great location just a short walk from the cathedral, shops and with the market right in front of the hotel. There is free parking for guests behind the hotel. Big rooms, tea and coffee making facilities, tv and spacious rooms

We enjoyed our stay especially as it was so close to everything. Sadly the lack of an opening window was disappointing as we had no fesh air in the room and only had the electric fan as means of cooling the room. No lift in the hotel was a minor disappointment. Apart from these complaints the hotel was excellent and we would stay again if a room was available with an opening window.

Lovely hotel and well located for the theater and City Centre. Mobility required since no lift but my room in the second floor was not an issue for me with my minimal luggage.

it is looking tired now.. windows hardly open and need replacing.. pigeons an ongoing issue....only a basic bath/shower system. pity british breakfast not included in price.. always want bacon eggs not ham that was just left out to collect bacteria.... overall not to impressed.

Stayed 2 nights. It was OK, nothing special. The room (No.42) was extremely noisy from out on the street to the early hours to inside, with doors banging etc. No tea bags or sugar in the room and upon asking I was given 1 tea bag and 1 sugar.. asked for another for my husband and was reluctantly given a 2nd tea bag. The room was OK, but I found a half drunk bottle of water beside the bed and another empty bottle behind the curtain. Obviously missed by the cleaning staff. Food was OK, expensive for what it was so only ate in the hotel on 1 evening. Menu's sticky & stained, not good. Breakfast was mediocre with no tea! I do not make tea from a flask of hot water, why no pots of tea? The good thing about staying here was secure parking.

Very nice short break away. High standard of cleanliness, good continental breakfast included in the room price, and staff at the hotel are so welcoming and friendly, an absolute credit to the hotel. Brilliant to have free gated parking in the middle of Truro. Would not hesitate to stay here again when in the area.

Hold hotel but with parking right in the heart of town. No escalator to bring your luggage up, luckily a staff member brought it up to the room. At 6 am an outside AC system when on making a very loud noise….the old window didn’t provide any sound isolation and it felt there was a mouler under the bed!!!

Great central location, free parking, good continental breakfast. However, I wouldn't recommend a room on the 3rd floor, as your in the roof and ceilings are slipping and there are wooden beams to crack you head on. It'll work for small people, but not for anyone of average height. I spent the stay either leaning over or constantly fretting about banging my head.

The hotel it self was great but the seagulls that hang around there are terrible, from 2am they kick off and I had the worst sleep ever, could do with sound proofing the windows.

I’ve been staying here for years and it’s getting tired! What once was an exceptional hotel is now average at best. Staff are lovely, breakfast has gone down hill and the rooms are looking drab, my mattress was half collapsed. They need to spend some money on the place immediately.

The room was ok, but it was really hot so we opened the window and the noise of the boiler was extremely loud. All through the night, we hardly slept. Also the last time for breakfast was 9am, whilst on holiday I want a later service. Couldn’t have it in the room, so we had to go out and pay for breakfast xxx

Booked for a date night and went to the theatre. Room was basic. Beds uncomfortable and mattress lumpy. Poor sleep due to street noise and pigeons. A rally being set up from 5am in Lemon street also didn’t help. Wouldn’t stay again given noise levels

Truro is a lively town with lots to do. Mannings is centrally located with a decent sized, private secure car park. The room was a bit tired to be honest though. Bathroom needs updating and the carpets are old. The bed was a big problem. It was so old the mattress sunk in the middle which meant my feet were the highest point of my body lying down. For such a lovely hotel reception and bar/restaurant area the bedroom was nowhere near the same standard. Shame. Be aware, although breakfast is included it’s only the cold continental buffet. If you want anything cooked they charge extra.

Room was good, maybe a little dated. Bed was comfy. We were a bit annoyed to be loudly asked to move to a smaller table at breakfast after we had sat down with our coffee. The nice server who greeted us had said to sit ‘wherever we liked’, but this was not correct apparently. Maybe seat guests on arrival if this is an issue?

Staff very good and went above and beyond to help, central location for Truro , near the bus and train stations and also a variety of eating establishments but Mannings had an excellent restaurant. Would most certainly stay again.

Stayed at the hotel to attend the Hall for Cornwall for a show. The hotel is yards away from the venue with secure parking and central location in the city. The room and bathroom were not overly large but comfortable and clean. The continental breakfast was varied and teas served within minutes. The staff without exception were welcoming and helpful. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will go again.

Fabulous central location in Truro. Lovely Continental breakfast included in price. Food in evening was great. Only a minute’s walk to the Hall for Cornwall so I saw a great play one evening too.

Had a great stay, the room was spotless and very clean. The staff were all super friendly. A fantastic continental breakfast where everything was so fresh. I would definitely recommend this hotel 100%

Greeted at the desk with “you have to download the ncp app for parking” so downloading that then register then setup a card etc etc. major faff to pay to park. Then got my room with no AC so windows open and so much noise all night long did not sleep well at all. Then had a chicken Kiev that was £28!!!! And terrible. Honestly the food price was a joke for a kiev that tasted much worse that a supermarket option. Reception blatantly tries to upsell you anything they can. Massively over priced in all aspects for the poor experience. Wont return.

The breakfast spread was not the best, it’s very basic. The bath tub also had some stains so didn’t have a very clean feel. Staff were nice and bedding was cozy

We’ve waited years to stay at Mannings & the bed was really hard, which ruined our stay to be honest. Bathroom was really cold too despite turning on the towel rail. We felt breakfast continental was very limited & felt aggrieved to pay extra for cooked breakfast. It should all come inclusively. Room was very clean though, parking was great & staff all very friendly!

Took a bit of effort to find the car park, but very secure to be fair. I stayed in an apartment which is in a separate building overlooking the car park. Room very spacious, and as an apartment had a kitchen/living room with table. Breakfast included is slightly disappointing, the default offering is a continental with hot options paid for extras. Pastry/cereal selection and quality was average nothing standout. Overall staff were friendly and welcoming, room was good and the location is excellent right in the town centre.

Stayed 2 nights. It was OK, nothing special. The room (No.42) was extremely noisy from out on the street to the early hours to inside, with doors banging etc. No tea bags or sugar in the room and upon asking I was given 1 tea bag and 1 sugar.. asked for another for my husband and was reluctantly given a 2nd tea bag. The room was OK, but I found a half drunk bottle of water beside the bed and another empty bottle behind the curtain. Obviously missed by the cleaning staff. Food was OK, expensive for what it was so only ate in the hotel on 1 evening. Menu's sticky & stained, not good. Breakfast was mediocre with no tea! I do not make tea from a flask of hot water, why no pots of tea? The good thing about staying here was secure parking.

What a lovely hotel in the centre of Truro. The food in the restaurant is excellent but there is no doubt about it, the excellent friendly staff make you so welcome and nothing is too much trouble for them.

Lovely old building, and the staff were exceptional. Very friendly and helpful. Room was clean, but the bathroom needed a bit of an update as it was showing signs of wear. Bed was hard, but this is down to personal preference. Breakfast was really good, a delicious continental style with quality options; I'm so used to hotels cutting corners in this regard so was delighted with the spread available. I didn't try the restaurant but the menu on display looked lovely. Would recommend.

Slightly disappointing experience on a 2 night stay. We'd stayed at Mannings a few years back and been impressed. This time, we found parts of the hotel dated (our bathroom) and the shower a disappointing trickle. There's no air con, which is fine, but you get a loud fairly ineffective fan instead. And the window was screwed shut so couldn't even be opened a crack. At least staff were friendly, breakfast and the bar were good, and decent parking a bonus, For the price though, I would expect better.

Staff are very helpful and friendly. The building is old and heritage listed so they don't have a lift. Secure free parking is a bonus. Perfect location for restaurants and pubs. We were in room 30 right at the top, the room is very hot, direct sunlight most of the day, AC is not working for the top level. watch your head on the low timber beams and the racked ceiling, bathroom has been updated and a cosy bed.

I find the hotel was nice & clean but there was no restaurant available when we arrived on the 20th, so we had to go else to eat and also the price we paid for our it did not include a cooked breakfast, so then we could only have continental breakfast and to go else where for a cooked one, very disappointing due to the price we paid for 3 nights. parking was handy, staff very apologetic about the breakfast.

This room was one of the apartments that Manning has next to its car park. The apartment was well-sized, very clean and had great amenities. This is in contrast to a room that I had in the main hotel a few months ago, I would try to get one of these apartments every time I visit Truro. Location is perfect for accessing restaurants, transport, and more.
