Super 8 by Wyndham Evanston

The flooring was peeling. The caulking in the bathroom needed redone. The shower curtain rod was not secured. For a budget room it was tolerable.

Property was very pet friendly and the staff was great.

Room was filthy! Never swept under bed in weeks! Had some trash and lots of dust bunnies under the bed. Coffee maker had last person’s coffee/ tea bag still in it. Microwave heated food but glass plate didn’t rotate. The knob dials didn’t move so you had to turn it off by moving the dial, very old model. The refrigerator did work. Floor was so cold in the bathroom that we never used the shower. Not staying there again! The pictures on the website were deceiving. It doesn’t look like that anymore! Breakfast was a small granola bar and small Rice Krispie bar with bananas and mandarin oranges and coffee. They said it was a grab and go breakfast. That was disappointing.

I am traveling with my senior dad and a GSD. So this hotel was just what I expected for the money. Ok beds and my dog only cost extra $10. No deposit! The location is a little iffy but we did see a police officer drive by like 5 times.. Which could be good or bad.. lol but I had my GSD with me so I felt safe there. Coffee in the morning was a plus.

Walls were filthy. Bedspread was stained. Slept in our clothes. Hotel was empty except for a corner of the building where they put ALL people staying at the hotel next to each other,most of whom we're permanent residents who had cigarette littering the area in front of their rooms, like it was NEVER cleaned. Do not stay here!
