Baymont by Wyndham Richburg - Chester Area

This hotel was super convenient and we were coming through for bike week. You can tell they are very much in the middle of renovation and I’m hoping it will be really nice when they are done. People outside feeding random cats which looked like they lived there full time. Quiet at night.

Under construction restaurant closed no one told us prior to check in major renovations

You can tell this is a newly renovated hotel. Some of the stuff was very nice and others looked very dated. But it was clean. The bed was comfortable. The air-conditioning worked perfectly And the shower had good pressure. I would recommend I would stay here again.

I pre booked 2 rooms on a family trip with 4 kids based on hotel having a pool. It had a pool, but it was not in service, still waiting for inspections and approval. I should have been given some compensation for this.

Some upgrades were taking place but the property is in need of some major improvements. Rooms were solid so noise from neighbors or the street disturbed us.

Looked like the property was stil under renovation of some kind. People in the next room had barking dogs. Some guys were fixing moter cycle in the parking area. Very limited breakfast. Dirty mattress

Motel was okay. Pool wasn't working ( and looked like it wasn't working for a while). Kind of a pain since we chose this place over over others based on having a pool. The rooms are a little worn, but okay. Just meh.

The stuff was friendly and accommodating Unfortunately The pool is only open during summer months our room smelled of gross cigarettes Smoke

The hotel was a disaster! There were active roaches and other bugs on floor and walls. One roach actually started up my boyfriend leg while sitting on sofa. The toilet leaked, there was a hole in wall at the shower fixture, and another hole in bathroom at the light fixture. I went to desk to report these things and was told things are in process of repair and he would notify the exterminator in the morning. He wanted to see the things we stepped on and would spray in room while we were at dinner. This didn’t happen. The description of extras were minuscule and the 2 towels were so thin it was hard to dry with. Only other thing was the drunk at the door at 2 am wanted to be let inside. This man did move on to another room in a minute or 2.i will not ever stay here or any other branch of the hotel with this ownership. Disgraceful!

Staff was friendly and helpful. One bed had stained sheets with body hair, staff did provide clean sheetsbon request. Carpet was dirty with debris that would easily be picked up by a vacuum, bathroom floor was not clean. Beds were actually comfortable. We got the rest we needed, at the price per night I'd say we got what we paid for.

Room was ok for the price. Room smelled clean. Bed was clean and comfortable, but tub and sink had some insect issues. Toilet leaked when it was flushed.

Overall the room was decent. It wasn't perfect by any means. The fridge was moldy and unusable as it had been unplugged for a seemingly long time but that was the biggest issue with the place. The bed linens were clean and everything else was good, We didn't try the breakfast though so I can't comment on that.

Our linens had some type of stain all over it. The comforter was so old that there was barely anything to keep you warm. The smell was so bad and musty. Poor lighting around the area. Parking spaces are not long enough for full-size vehicles.

Stained linens & towels. Made me wonder if they had even been washed. Big TV, but all blurry, standard def. No HD whatsoever.

Bed was comfortable but the floor could have been cleaner. My granddaughters feet were dirty from walking on the floor in there bare feet.could definitely use some upgrading and any repairs that were done were done poorly. But all that being said it wasn’t horrible for the money.

There are bed bugs in the rooms.

Our room smelled so bad of smoke even thought it was a none smoking room. I have asthma and could not sleep even with my puffers. Bathroom was so old and disgusting toilet and tub Bedroom itself was fine and fairly new. Tv was old

The guy at the counter was fine. Key didn't work the first time and then I had to walk all the way back to the front desk. No apology, just a lecture on putting the key card next to my phone...which I didn't do. It was in the opposite pocket as my phone. That was slightly annoying. The main problem here is that the room stunk and was gross. I had to leave the door open for 30 minutes to try and get some smell out. There was roach powder messily applied to all the baseboards. The towels were like sand paper. The shower was brown and gross. I've stated in plenty of Super 8's and many are reasonable. I don't have high expectations. Here, I slept with the lights on for fear of stepping on cockroaches when I went to the bathroom in the middle of the night. Spend the extra 20 or 30 bucks and avoid this place.

Our second stay at this location was much better than our first. This is a very convenient in between locations for our 2 day drive from FL to/from PA. The room was clean, bed comfortable, and this time, the heat worked!! The breakfast isn’t much but is satisfactory. The place has been updated in some areas like the room and sinks, but the bathrooms could still use some work, which I’m sure will come with time and required repairs. Overall, for a quick overnight, grab some sleep stop, it fits the bill. We will likely stay again depending on our drive timing.

The bathroom vinyl floor was torn and damaged around the toilet. The toilet was not fastened to the ground properly. The bathtub did not drain properly and the lower wall repair was done by someone that had no business trying to fix anything. The rest of the space was functional but the bathroom ruined the room.

Pros=Spacious room, included couch, microwave, fridge, coffeemaker. Adequate no frills breakfast included. Friendly staff. Cons=toilet seat hinge broken, several light bulbs burned out, non smoking room had cigarette odor, although sheets and towels did not.

This was definitely a super 8. We stayed once at the beginning of the week and once at the end. The beginning stay was so-so. The front desk lady was the KINDEST woman. She definitely made the stay that day. Unfortunately the beds the first day were “well used” and stained on the sides. The room and the bedding did seem very clean, but they could definitely spare to update the beds. I will say, we had an incident around 2am that night with a dog howling above us but someone must’ve complained because they quieted down. This was no fault of the hotel, but thought I would mention the walls aren’t very soundproof. Breakfast here was very minimal but good for on the go. The night we spent at the end of the week would’ve given it 5/5 stars. Everything (even the beds) were perfectly clean and once again, the front desk guy was SOOOOO NICE.

At check-in, the foreign lady behind the desk wasnt very polite. She kept telling me my last name didn't match my reservation. We went back and forth about 3 times before I told her to show me....she was looking at my middle name, smh. Than she put us on the second floor after me telling her that I called on the Monday before to request a ground floor, front view because my mother cant go up and down them stairs. She tells me that we gonna stay on the second floor that night and for me to come back down the next morning so they can give us a ground floor. I said whatever and just took the second floor after driving for about 9 hours. We get to the room and notice it wasnt a tv remote, the ice bucket had dirt in it and the microwave was disgusting like it came from the trash. So I go back down to the office and report all my findings. This time there was a guy in the office with the lady and he tells me that she will bring it up to me. So when she came up, she had a new ice bucket, a remote and a key card. She tells me that she had a room on the ground floor that she can move us to and did I want to see it. So I go look at it and it wasnt to bad so I told her its on the ground floor so we'll take it. The new room was bigger but not that clean. I can go on and on but I'll just say this......I WILL NEVER STAY AT SUPER 8 IN RICHBURG, SOUTH CAROLINA EVER AGAIN!!!

Me and my mom stayed for the weekend. The guy that checked us in was very professional and polite. Housekeeping didn’t come until Saturday, the day before we left. We went down on Thursday, but we was fine with them not coming while we were still there. This hotel use to be Super 8 which I had an issue last year with the lady at the front. However, they have upgraded and added new furniture and more lighting in the rooms. The room we had the walls were blue which is my favorite color and they had night lights over the nightstand…. A+. Only issue was the headboard was not cleaned, the bathtub was not clean and needs an upgrade, other than that had a pleasant stay. Every year we go down in May so if we make it this coming May 2026 we will definitely be staying at Baymont again. Thank you for great customer service

This hotel is not up to Wyndham standards. Besides the absent shower curtain (because we arrived late we didn’t check before going to bed!) in the morning, the breakfast availability was poor. Breakfast was offered from 6-9 am and we went at 7:30 and the sausage gravy was gone, waffle batter was finished, biscuits were gone. When we commented on it, nothing was said or done. I’m not one to complain. I don’t like doing that. But Wyndham has always been a good, reliable, dependable name. And for $112 per night at this motel, it certainly isn’t worth it. Sorry.

Checked in really late but was quick and easy. Room was cold so we turned on heat. Never really heated up and were cold all night. It was just too late to request another room or report to try and have them fix it. Bedding was rather thin so not very helpful. Otherwise, clean and convenient from the highway.

Great value for a convenient overnight stay.

Have stayed here a few times and always a good place. Everything is extremely clean and very safe which is very important to me as an older woman traveling alone.Breakfast is okay but the coffee is great! And you Can’t beat the

Room was in a stage of renovation and should not have been rented. The lighting around the bed was difficult to operate. There was no lighting above the sink which we were told was a special mirror but we could not figure out how to operate it. I woke up with a bug on my leg sucking my blood. Breakfast was another nightmare. I poured two cups of juice....both of which had a bug in them. The coffee machine was broken and dispensing thin looking tea. I didn't go any further. We went out for breakfast instead. We had booked the hotel for two nights but checked out and went somewhere else.

Owners were really nice but door was sketchy, breakfast we had to tend to ourselves and was old and not cold, juice was out

Or looked nice and the staff were great, but the hairdryer gave me a shock, or was broken, the towel bar was broken, the tub needed a good cleaning, the dressers and light fixtures needed scrubbing. It needs some tlc. You can tell it was a super 8 before wyndham. The juice was out of order at breakfast
