Nice place, walking distance to food and shops. Great views, nice pool. Wish they would keep up on property maintenance. Building could use some pressure washing, patio furniture was not in great condition. Overall a nice place. We will go back at some point.

A great find just minutes from Mount Dora. They have three buildings and we stayed in the furthest building from the main building. It was different but we got used to it. We had a balcony and a nice view of the lake. There was breakfast every day. The grounds are very nice. The only ding would be the pool. It needed vacuuming and I asked about that at the front desk, but it wasn’t done during our stay. The hotel is convenient to several restaurants, a nice park, a boardwalk of sorts along the lake, and community that is picturesque. If we ever come back to this area, we would most definitely stay here again

The room is located across the street from the lobby and you enter the elevator at the back of the building next to a bar. Not very safe for a woman traveling alone. It’s also not convenient to have breakfast when it’s across the street. The housekeeper tried entering the room without knocking - thank God the safety lock was on. The coffee pot was disgusting and there was something hard and crunchy on my sheets. Parking was also an issue. I had to park quite a ways away and haul my luggage across the street. Definitely not a good experience at all!

Key West Resort is very nice property in a great location. The only drawback this property has is that the rooms are located in three separate buildings that make the check in process less than convenient. When we arrived we took our bags out of the car and went to the lobby to check in only to find out that our room was in another building and that required us to put ours bags back in the car and drive to the other building.

Clean hotel, very disappointed the roof top bar was closed. I could have booked somewhere else for a lesser price but I choose this one primarily because it's right on the lake with a roof top bar. Nothing in the booking said it doesn't open until Wednesdays. No coffee available in the building, have to get dressed and go across the street to get coffee, very inconvenient!

The Hotel is situated in proximity to the beauty of the Lake, restaurants, a marina and seaplanes. There is ample free parking and check-in was a breeze. The staff at the front desk were amazing and Toni and Sharon went above and beyond to make sure we enjoyed the hotel's hospitality as well as what was nearby for us to enjoy. It is hard to emphasize how exceptional staff were. The room was spacious, clean and quiet with a nice balcony to help you enjoy the lake view. There is also a rooftop bar but it is only open for the latter part of the week and weekend. Great place to stay and we will definitely be back.

Very welcoming and pleasant staff. Hotel is the heart of downtown and spread across three different buildings, all overlooking Lake Dora. Downtown Tavares is small but very fun, and activity on the lake can be enjoyed from your balcony. If you're traveling to Tavares, by far your best option.

Fantastic hotel with friendly staff, clean and comfortable rooms, and great amenities. The location was convenient, and the service exceeded expectations. The roof top bar privided a great way to watch the sunset and have some excellent cocktails and food…5stars!!! I’d happily stay here again and highly recommend it!

Our first room had a leaky mini split unit that drained all over the counter. They moved us rooms and the new room that had an under performing AC. Also sewer smell in the bathroom, shower did not regulate properly Freezing cold or scalding hot and ants crawling all over the bathroom counter. Lots of spider webs on lamp shades and in the corners of both rooms. Will not ever return. Staff was nice though

Huge king sized bedroom. Very clean and comfortable. Only exception was that there was no coffee maker in the room and no coffee or breakfast is offered in the lobby. Front desk staff were very courteous and friendly.

The room we received was dirty. There was hair all over the towels and bedding. The doors had streaks running down them. The rooms were old and outdated and smelled musty. For the price you would expect better services.

There was no coffee or maker in the entire hotel. No breakfast as advertised. Cleanliness was ok but strong smell in hallway. Was overpowering. The people were very nice and helpful and was in a beautiful location.

The location was perfect, the view was amazing. Loved being able to walk everywhere. The room was comfortable a little dated. One of the mattresses sank quite a bit on the one side. The breakfast was prepackaged items only, nothing healthy about that. Would stay again, however, enjoyed the weekend.

We really enjoyed our stay. We were in building 1 room 201 which is a corner king unit. The room was very spacious even in the bathroom. It had quite a large closet area and the room did include a blow dryer, iron with board, microwave, and small fridge. Bldgs 1 and 2 are across the street from the office, breakfast area, and pool but it was not inconvenient at all. We had a great seat on our balcony for the live music on Saturday night. There is a lot of good restaurants and a fishing dock all right there at the property. The resort is in the entertainment district so there is music playing most evenings but other than the special event on Ruby St., you really aren’t disturbed by the music while inside the room. We can’t wait to return again soon perhaps in the summer!

Weather was beautiful and room view was amazing. The mornings and afternoons were perfect and pool area was great. Big pool and had it all to ourselves. My main complaint is that the night life and VERY LOUD music from the bar below us (we were right above a bar) didnt even think about how loud it might be at night. Couldn't hardly sleep the second night (Friday) and performer didnt stop playing until late night. Then the next night (Saturday) the bar, Dog House, which part of the hotel played music SO LOUD OUTSIDE and didnt stop till 2AM. Loved the room and it was clean and the view was incredible worst part was the extremely loud party scene at night.

The lake view from our room was beautiful! There were different choices of restaurants and bars available in walking distance. The rooms were very big and clean. Only problem was late night screaming and loud vehicles.

everything was great for all the rooms we had. However it would have been nice if we were all in the same building. Three in one and two in the other. I booked this like 9 months ago it was for 5 groups to come down to attend my sons wedding. It did work out great tho. The only problem was our room was above the Dog House and the noise was unreal til after two in the morning. The front desk switched us first thing in the morning to the complete other end. They were very accommodating

The first night we got literally zero sleep. The toilet in our room was running constantly (that loud hissing/filling sound all night) and the wall-mounted AC unit was dripping water and making a loud rattling/gurgling noise every few minutes. On top of that, the mattress had a massive sag in the middle – it felt like sleeping in a hammock that was about to collapse. We called maintenance first thing in the morning and explained the issues. They said someone would come “right away.” We left for the day assuming it would be fixed while we were out. Came back to the room at 11:00 PM – absolutely nothing had been done. Same running toilet, same leaking noisy AC, same collapsed bed. Called the front desk again and they just said “sorry, maintenance already went home for the night.” No offer of a room change, no apology, no solution. We had to stuff towels under the AC to stop the dripping and wear earplugs just to try and sleep. Second night wasn’t much better. Save yourself the headache and book literally anywhere else. The Citrus Hotel is a hard pass. Management should be ashamed

Came back to the room at 11:00 PM – absolutely nothing had been done. Same running toilet, same leaking noisy AC, same collapsed bed. Called the front desk again and they just said “sorry, maintenance already went home for the night.” No offer of a room change, no apology, no solution. We had to stuff towels under the AC to stop the dripping and wear earplugs just to try and sleep. Second night wasn’t much better. Save yourself the headache and book literally anywhere else. The Citrus Hotel is a hard pass. Management should be ashamed

The staff at the front desk were amazing and Toni and Sharon went above and beyond to make sure we enjoyed the hotel's hospitality as well as what was nearby for us to enjoy. It is hard to emphasize how exceptional staff were. The room was spacious, clean and quiet with a nice balcony to help you enjoy the lake view. I thought it was nice to have restaurants, bars & a coffee shop on the ground floor of the building. We had a beautiful view of Lake Dora from our balcony and enjoyed live music from The Dog House that evening. I did have concern as to when the band would stop. They stopped at 10:00-10:30pm which I thought was very acceptable; especially on a Saturday night. Danni at the front desk was just wonderful! She was very polite, friendly and informative about the area.

Very welcoming and pleasant staff. Hotel is the heart of downtown and spread across three different buildings, all overlooking Lake Dora. Downtown Tavares is small but very fun, and activity on the lake can be enjoyed from your balcony. If you're traveling to Tavares, by far your best option.

The location was perfect, the view was amazing. Loved being able to walk everywhere. The room was comfortable a little dated. One of the mattresses sank quite a bit on the one side. The breakfast was prepackaged items only, nothing healthy about that. Would stay again, however, enjoyed the weekend.

A great find just minutes from Mount Dora. They have three buildings and we stayed in the furthest building from the main building. It was different but we got used to it. We had a balcony and a nice view of the lake. There was breakfast every day. The grounds are very nice. The only ding would be the pool. It needed vacuuming and I asked about that at the front desk, but it wasn’t done during our stay. The hotel is convenient to several restaurants, a nice park, a boardwalk of sorts along the lake, and community that is picturesque. If we ever come back to this area, we would most definitely stay here again

Clean hotel, very disappointed the roof top bar was closed. I could have booked somewhere else for a lesser price but I choose this one primarily because it's right on the lake with a roof top bar. Nothing in the booking said it doesn't open until Wednesdays. No coffee available in the building, have to get dressed and go across the street to get coffee, very inconvenient!

Overall our stay was ok. There were a few things that were an inconvenient while traveling with our dog (10 lb shih-tzu). For one we weren't able to take her behind the main building in the large grassy area to sit and enjoy being outside. Although the hotel and surrounding areas were pet friendly, there were also alot of restrictions...inconvenient. The hotel has many restrictions as well, like giving 24 hour notice to have someone clean the room, or having to go pick up extra towels from the main building. Don't get me started on their towels...let's just say if you need a good exfoliation, their towels will do the job! The music was loud, however we enjoyed it, and they go inside at 10pm. Breakfast wasn't really advertised well, basically it's more of a "vending" continental breakfast. Our room could have been a little cleaner, especially the tile floors, but we've been in worse.

The rooftop bar was closed for Reno but not listed anywhere so that was disappointing. Room itself is fine… clean, two comfy beds, large bathroom. Building 3 is rather dated but room nicer than building. Love location!!!

Upgraded room good. A/C good and quiet. Nice lake view room. Price was good. No room service. TV options were terrible Roku mostly with Pluto TV. Local news channels only. Could not get ESPN to watch baseball. Internet out the last night stay.
