From our experience room and other facilities we used were very clean! Staff were very helpful, polite and happy. Lovely gardens to sit in and relax on a couple of extremely hot evenings. Great breakfasts with good choices .Plus added benefit of good parking facilities.

Lovely building out in the countryside, but with good access to surrounding areas. Large rooms, good decor, comfy bed (with the freshest sheets I have ever smelt) and good shower. Good food with great service from the front of house team. Will choose Himley again whenever I am next in the area.

Lovely hotel, beautifully decorated throughout with cosy sitting areas with a log fire and plenty of dining space. Good selection of delicious food. Spacious bedroom with king bed. Bathroom a bit small. Bar staff attentive and plenty of parking. Would definitely return.

The hotel is beautiful with excellent staff members who can't do enough for you. The restaurant food is lovely and the breakfast included is such good value for money. Everyone was very happy on the business trip. One only issue is the guest Wifi is quite weak from the upstairs rooms so had to come to the bar to do some work. Thank you Himley House for an amazing stay!!

Spent a couple of nights at this very impressive hotel. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was a double on the top floor with an en-suite. Very clean and peaceful. I would imagine the building was quite old as the floors were a bit uneven, no doubt due to some old and uneven timbers. There was a large area for parking and quite a nice small lake outside. The only issue although no fault of the hotel is the access to & from the hotel from what is a very busy A449 Stourbridge Road. Location is very good; not too far from Wolverhampton & Dudley.

My room was really good, but I didn't realise that there was no elevator in the building. This was fine for me as I was able to carry my suitcase up the stairs to the top level. However, my brother and his wife had major difficulties in walking up so many stairs. Fortunately, they were able to change their room for one on a lower level, which was much better for them. Maybe, in the hotel description, it should be noted that there are several flights of stairs in the main building and, if that is a problem for patrons, there should be somewhere to request a ground level room.

I like Himley House. It’s been my go to in the area. They’ve spent a fortune on refurbishing the rooms but let themselves down this week with poor service in the restaurant. Staff appeared aloof. I was ignored by restaurant staff who all walked past and no one even acknowledged me as I waited. Slow service although they didn’t appear too busy. Starter arrived before my drink had arrived. Main course had been sitting under the heat lamps for a while judging by the temperature of my side salad and plate. No Wi-Fi from about 9pm until 8.30am which was a pain as I had work and phone reception was poor. Room was boiling and window had been screwed shut so unable to cool it down or let in fresh air. Window outlook would have been ok but builders had dumped a load of rubbish outside. Considering how much money has been spent it’s a little disappointing to be let down by poor customer service and irritating minor defects. I’m hoping this is just a temporary blip and normal service will be resumed.

The room looked exactly like the photos on the website so we got the lovely room we were hoping for. The bed was huge and very comfortable. Everything was very clean and well kept. We had a late lunch in the restaurant, which was delicious. Breakfast was also very good with a nice selection of pastries and hot meals. All in all, very lovely.

Hotel has been refurbished to give a boutique look. Room was not as clean as previous visits. Fecal traces in toilet and cobwebs in bathroom with crumbs on floor. Coffee tray was meanly stocked and coffee bags were not good. Bed was comfortable and decoratively it looked good.

The hotel is looking very tired and in desperate need of refurbishment. I was initially given a room in an outbuilding on the car park - which I duly refused to take as I felt security and the standard of the room was not fit for purpose. The shower required a flight of steps to reach it and the room was not very clean or well presented . I was subsequently given a room at the front of the hotel with a four poster bed. Though this room was much better it still was not of a good enough standard. The staff were very helpful and it’s obviously not their fault but I would not stay at this hotel again.

Stayed here for one night. The room was very dark because the decor is dark. I had to put all the lights on and wear my glasses as it was hard to see. It was a nice room with a good selection of tea and coffee facilities. There was a nice note with two miniature chocolates upon arrival in our room. Bathroom and shower was nice. I did notice some cobwebs in the corners of the ceiling and in the light outside the window there were quite a lot of very big cobwebs that had obviously been there a while. We stayed in room 21 so you had to walk outside to get to it and through an entrance hall. We didn’t notice till the following morning but we had been walking passed a spider hanging from the window inside and then on the way out we looked up and to my horror there were quite a few spiders on the ceiling as you walk downstairs. Surely this is a matter for housekeeping it shouldn’t be left like this. Also there were two extra pillows in the wardrobe so I got one out and then saw a dirty mark on it so I didn’t use that and the wardrobe had quite a bit of dust in the bottom. The room was nice but not the cleanest we have stayed in I’m afraid. Breakfast and dinner was lovely a nice choice of meals and you help yourself to tea and coffee for breakfast. There were cereals and pastries, yoghurt and there were some nice options on the main menu I had a full English which was very nice. All in all a lovely one night stay. Would definitely go for a meal but don’t think I would stay again.🕷️

Very spacious room, friendly staff, lovely big comfortable bed. Small but beautifully finished bathroom. Nice (lukewarm but nice) breakfast. Very nicely decorated restaurant. Ample free parking to rear.

People were very pleasant , although the evening staff don't really know much about what can be done in terms of moving people into different rooms. The room was fine king size, with a bit of room. I stayed with a group for a couple of days after and that room was in the eves , and claustrophobically small. Not helped by the fact that it was not possible o open the window and the fan provided merely circulated very warm air around the room . Breakfast was satisfactory. My advice is stay in the Kingsize room and avoid the hotel ifit is swelteringly hot

Recently refurbished hotel, really lovely spacious room. The only downfalls were the room door lock didn’t work & it was noisy as you can constantly hear the main door below opening and closing. Also cold room, I turned the radiator on but didn’t come on. Check in/out staff were great, very friendly. I ate in the restaurant on the evening, service VERY slow. It took 30minutes before anyone took my food order. Food was delicious and waiters were friendly. (Apart from the ‘host’ lady in black, very stern faced, rude & too busy bossing staff about to take notice of customers attention) Overall good stay. Excellent value for money.

Clean, comfortable. Unfortunately, our bedrooms opened onto the busy and mostly almost constantly noisy A road so was not great. Would have preferred a room at the back. Check in could have been more friendly. Did put us off dining in the restaurant. Would stay again but ask for a quieter room. Nice shower and tea tray.

Wow, what a transformation by Andrew and his team. I enjoyed my stays here previously but some of the rooms were a little tired. Room 4 has been refurbished and is amazing. Excellent, friendly reception quickly processed me and directed me to my room on the 1st floor. I’ve got tea and coffee, huge bed, big tv and a clean spacious bathroom with shower.

I was ignored by restaurant staff who all walked past and no one even acknowledged me as I waited. Slow service although they didn’t appear too busy. Starter arrived before my drink had arrived. Main course had been sitting under the heat lamps for a while judging by the temperature of my side salad and plate. No Wi-Fi from about 9pm until 8.30am which was a pain as I had work and phone reception was poor. Room was boiling and window had been screwed shut so unable to cool it down or let in fresh air. Window outlook would have been ok but builders had dumped a load of rubbish outside. Considering how much money has been spent it’s a little disappointing to be let down by poor customer service and irritating minor defects. I’m hoping this is just a temporary blip and normal service will be resumed.
I like Himley House. It’s been my go to in the area. They’ve spent a fortune on refurbishing the rooms but let themselves down this week with poor service in the restaurant. Staff appeared aloof. The last few times i have stayed it rakes a while to check in as no one is maning the reception. You have to wait for someone from the bar to see you or when you press the bell to come over when they are not serving customers. There are peopke sitting around you shile your waiting to check in, which is awward as you have your bags and feel in the way. Check in was much better when the hotel reception was separate to the bar area. Also upon arrival to the room, the door was wide open. This felt a bit odd and anyone could have gone into the room. Apart from the above, a very pleasant stay with friendly staff.

Recently refurbished hotel, really lovely spacious room. The only downfalls were the room door lock didn’t work & it was noisy as you can constantly hear the main door below opening and closing. Also cold room, I turned the radiator on but didn’t come on. Check in/out staff were great, very friendly. I ate in the restaurant on the evening, service VERY slow. It took 30minutes before anyone took my food order. Food was delicious and waiters were friendly. (Apart from the ‘host’ lady in black, very stern faced, rude & too busy bossing staff about to take notice of customers attention) Overall good stay. Excellent value for money.

Lovely building out in the countryside, but with good access to surrounding areas. Large rooms, good decor, comfy bed (with the freshest sheets I have ever smelt) and good shower. Good food with great service from the front of house team. Will choose Himley again whenever I am next in the area.

A single night and a hidden gem for food, the hotel is very quirky as it is an old building but the rooms are nice and clean. The evening meal menu was very plentiful and my meal was extremely well cooked and tasty, the full English brekkie was beautifully cooked too There is a lovely park about a quarter mile walk away

Friendly and welcoming, staff dealt with queries effectively. The restaurant evening meal was delicious as well as the breakfast. I recommend the Farmer's breakfast. Room facilities and decor were great especially the coffee bags and the milk churn for fresh milk, which you could acquire at the bar. However, the bedroom was a bit stuffy so we had to keep the window open which for a light sleeper meant being woken early by traffic noise on the A449.

Clean, comfortable. Unfortunately, our bedrooms opened onto the busy and mostly almost constantly noisy A road so was not great. Would have preferred a room at the back. Check in could have been more friendly. Did put us off dining in the restaurant. Would stay again but ask for a quieter room. Nice shower and tea tray.

Spent a couple of nights at this very impressive hotel. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was a double on the top floor with an en-suite. Very clean and peaceful. I would imagine the building was quite old as the floors were a bit uneven, no doubt due to some old and uneven timbers. There was a large area for parking and quite a nice small lake outside. The only issue although no fault of the hotel is the access to & from the hotel from what is a very busy A449 Stourbridge Road. Location is very good; not too far from Wolverhampton & Dudley.

Lovely hotel, perfect for a place to stay whilst either exploring the area or travelling on. Staff helpful during check in. Room cosy and chocolates on bed a nice touch. Have already booked a further stay!

The room looked exactly like the photos on the website so we got the lovely room we were hoping for. The bed was huge and very comfortable. Everything was very clean and well kept. We had a late lunch in the restaurant, which was delicious. Breakfast was also very good with a nice selection of pastries and hot meals. All in all, very lovely.

Everything about this hotel was wonderful. Really tastefully decorated rooms, the beds were comfy and bedding lovely. The staff were so friemdly and couldn't do enough to make our stay enjoyable. The restaurant served a wide range of products for all meals and snack times. We loved the breakfast xhoices, and favourite meals were sausage and mash, with halloumi fries as our favourite bar snack. Fantastic stay which was great value for money.

Came to the hotel and were pleasantly surprised at the grounds and location. parking was nearby and the car park felt secure. The staff were polite and friendly. Fundamentally clean and smelt clean. The room was a good size, although a bit on the warm side - realised that the towel rail was on but as the bathroom door was left open, the room was a bit overwarm. There is tea and coffee available in the room, but there was no milk, nor a small fridge to keep the milk in. Needed a second hand towel (this was a twin room) but reception provided one without an issues. Would stay again.

The staff were very welcoming and helpful. We had travelled to a family funeral and they let us check in early so we could freshen up and change. The bar, restaurant and terrace areas were very nice and also clean. The food was good and a great breakfast with excellent service. We were a little disappointed with our room, given the price we paid. The bathroom was very small, barely enough room to dry after taking a shower and the base of the shower was grubby. The room was very hot, making it difficult to sleep, even with a fan on. Overall we didn't feel it was good value

Really lovely overnight accomodation. Just a couple of issues, the room was really hot, but put that down to the recent hot weather. However the shower area had flaking paint on the ceiling, and if you're tall, it's not particularly comfortable trying to shower. Other than that, really good, and despite the issues, I'd return as it's very good value for money.
