Initial greeting was excellent with lovely friendly reception staff. Room was below average and in need of a refurbishment but adequate. Really disappointed with the Customer services, especially the Restaurant supervisor who was arrogant and unhelpful and couldn't be bothered to do his job and actually sent us to Guest relations to complain over an issue with allergy related matters. Things got even worse at Guest Relations where the "Assistant Manager" ended up arguing with us over providing soya or Almond milk. They did provide a carton of soya milk after the complaint but his whole attitude was arrogant and unhelpful. Communication was an issue in the hotel as only a handful of staff could speak English. Food was excellent, facilities good. Spa was good and staff friendly. Mini Market in hotel ok and even sold overpriced Electronic cigarettes in their mini market, even though they are ILLEGAL in Turkey 😉 We have travelled to lots of places around the world and stayed in many, many, 5 star hotels. Unfortunately, this hotel is a mere 3 star Hotel pretending to be a 5 Star hotel - mainly due to their customer services and unhelpful management team. I wouldn't be visiting there again, it's nothing more than Average.

Vi var tre kvinder afsted, og overordnet set havde vi en fin tur. Dog var der nogle ting, der trak ned: Maden levede desværre ikke op til forventningerne – den var ret dårlig, og det virkede som om, der blev sparet en del på kvaliteten. Derudover lukkede baren allerede omkring midnat, og hvis man ville have noget at drikke derefter, skulle man gå helt over i den anden ende af området. Alt andet fungerede fint, og vi kan ikke decideret klage over stedet, men det er nok ikke et sted, vi ville vælge igen.

There is almost no sand as the already small beach is jam-packed with loungers. There are boats going up and down past the small beach all the time. The bay is lined with party hotels that have music blaring until all hours of the morning. The staff are rude and could not be bothered to assist or even do their jobs (with the exclusion of the waiters at the 24/7 restaurant). No one provided any information on hot the hotel runs, ie. when which restaurants were open or how that worked, or showed or even told us where to find anything. The guests by and large seem to come for the endless food and drinks, and generally were unfriendly and rude, pushing in queues as if food would run out.

Had a lovely stay at Selectum Colours. It was a nice hotel which had good facilities and kept clean. It is slightly dated but arguably gives it character. We had a sea view with a balcony, room was kept clean and bed was comfortable. Loved having the flexibility of the 7/24 restaurant for late morning's and late nights. Buffet had variety and something different everyday. We only had the A la carte Italian restaurant for our last night and food was superb...our favourite meal of our whole stay. Owner of spa was lovely, very friendly and accommodating. We enjoyed the turkish bath, massages and clay masks....we ended up doing this twice during our stay. Changing facilities are dated but the hamam, sauna, treatment areas are well kept and very relaxing. Service is excellent and we would definitely recommend. There was entertainment on every evening...good effort to keep guests entertained. They had a good range of cocktails however in our experience, the lobby bar only made these well...unfortunately didnt enjoy these from the other bars as much. There are lots of steps so you can easily make up your 10,000 steps in a day, but be wary if travelling with elderly or those who need accessibility suport as quite a few steps and walking. There was a quiet pool at the far end of the resort which was always empty but perfect if you wanted to relax away from the crowds. Lots of cute baby cats around the resort too and one crazy dog (lol)

Sehr schöne Lage, sauberer Pool und ein schönes Meer (anfangs steinig, dann Sand). Während der Hochsaison war das Hotel stark ausgelastet, was sich besonders beim Abendessen bemerkbar machte. Dennoch sehr gutes Essen mit ausreichend Auswahl. Insgesamt ein angenehmer Aufenthalt.

A great hotel in a lovely location. Staff were fantastic, everyone smiling and helpful. Clean rooms and beach area. Food in buffet was very good at breakfast but not many vege options for lunch and dinner. Italian a la carte was great and the 7/24 restaurant. We don’t usually go back to areas and hotels but we would really consider returning here.

Good food options every day, the 24/7 restaurant and snack bars also offer good options. The resort overall was really enjoyable, with a decently priced spa with friendly and experienced staff. However the rooms could be cleaned better, we found dusty floors on the day we arrived around the bedside tables. The pools (indoors and outdoors) are quite cold, should be warmer. Overall was an enjoyable stay.

We had 2 rooms, both had slight sewage smell, the staff response to that was that the resort is full so nothing can be done. The AC fan made a really loud noise in one of the rooms when it was one or high, so we kept it at low. If you open the balcony door the AC turns off and there is no screen door/window so we woke up with mosquito bites. Overall the rooms were blunt, of poor condition, as was the entire resort.

The room we stayed in had a broken mini fridge and clearly had not replaced the filter in the air conditioner for years because it smelt horrible whenever you entered the room - can not have been good for my health breathing that air in all night.

My overall comment for the hotel would 4/5. Actually I'd also rate 5/5 but in comparison with other hotels, the distances between the room and the sea was quite sloppy. You don't have to climb all the way for your room thanks to elevator but to reach out the elevators is another adventure. Nevertheless, the staff, the cleanliness, foods, etc... were all beyond of my expectations. I can consider to go there again.

Mini Market in hotel ok and even sold overpriced Electronic cigarettes in their mini market, even though they are ILLEGAL in Turkey 😉 We have travelled to lots of places around the world and stayed in many, many, 5 star hotels. Unfortunately, this hotel is a mere 3 star Hotel pretending to be a 5 Star hotel - mainly due to their customer services and unhelpful management team. I wouldn't be visiting there again, it's nothing more than Average.

We had 2 rooms, both had slight sewage smell, the staff response to that was that the resort is full so nothing can be done. The AC fan made a really loud noise in one of the rooms when it was one or high, so we kept it at low. If you open the balcony door the AC turns off and there is no screen door/window so we woke up with mosquito bites. Overall the rooms were blunt, of poor condition, as was the entire resort.

The room we stayed in had a broken mini fridge and clearly had not replaced the filter in the air conditioner for years because it smelt horrible whenever you entered the room - can not have been good for my health breathing that air in all night.

Had a lovely stay at Selectum Colours. It was a nice hotel which had good facilities and kept clean. It is slightly dated but arguably gives it character. We had a sea view with a balcony, room was kept clean and bed was comfortable. Loved having the flexibility of the 7/24 restaurant for late morning's and late nights. Buffet had variety and something different everyday. We only had the A la carte Italian restaurant for our last night and food was superb...our favourite meal of our whole stay. Owner of spa was lovely, very friendly and accommodating. We enjoyed the turkish bath, massages and clay masks....we ended up doing this twice during our stay. Changing facilities are dated but the hamam, sauna, treatment areas are well kept and very relaxing. Service is excellent and we would definitely recommend. There was entertainment on every evening...good effort to keep guests entertained. They had a good range of cocktails however in our experience, the lobby bar only made these well...unfortunately didnt enjoy these from the other bars as much. There are lots of steps so you can easily make up your 10,000 steps in a day, but be wary if travelling with elderly or those who need accessibility suport as quite a few steps and walking. There was a quiet pool at the far end of the resort which was always empty but perfect if you wanted to relax away from the crowds. Lots of cute baby cats around the resort too and one crazy dog (lol)

Good food options every day, the 24/7 restaurant and snack bars also offer good options. The resort overall was really enjoyable, with a decently priced spa with friendly and experienced staff. However the rooms could be cleaned better, we found dusty floors on the day we arrived around the bedside tables. The pools (indoors and outdoors) are quite cold, should be warmer. Overall was an enjoyable stay.

Initial greeting was excellent with lovely friendly reception staff. Room was below average and in need of a refurbishment but adequate. Really disappointed with the Customer services, especially the Restaurant supervisor who was arrogant and unhelpful and couldn't be bothered to do his job and actually sent us to Guest relations to complain over an issue with allergy related matters. Things got even worse at Guest Relations where the "Assistant Manager" ended up arguing with us over providing soya or Almond milk. They did provide a carton of soya milk after the complaint but his whole attitude was arrogant and unhelpful. Communication was an issue in the hotel as only a handful of staff could speak English. The bay is lined with party hotels that have music blaring until all hours of the morning. No one provided any information on hot the hotel runs, ie. when which restaurants were open or how that worked, or showed or even told us where to find anything. We stayed here for 4 nights the resort was lovely and had beautiful views and many activities to keep kids busy. We enjoyed the night activities and music for adults aswell The only thing was that reception staff are not very knowledgeable and know basic English to help guests out, and at times they were quiet rude and abrupt

A great hotel in a lovely location. Staff were fantastic, everyone smiling and helpful. Clean rooms and beach area. Food in buffet was very good at breakfast but not many vege options for lunch and dinner. Italian a la carte was great and the 7/24 restaurant. We don’t usually go back to areas and hotels but we would really consider returning here.

Sehr schöne Lage, sauberer Pool und ein schönes Meer (anfangs steinig, dann Sand). Während der Hochsaison war das Hotel stark ausgelastet, was sich besonders beim Abendessen bemerkbar machte. Dennoch sehr gutes Essen mit ausreichend Auswahl. Insgesamt ein angenehmer Aufenthalt.

My overall comment for the hotel would 4/5. Actually I'd also rate 5/5 but in comparison with other hotels, the distances between the room and the sea was quite sloppy. You don't have to climb all the way for your room thanks to elevator but to reach out the elevators is another adventure. Nevertheless, the staff, the cleanliness, foods, etc... were all beyond of my expectations. I can consider to go there again.

Vi var tre kvinder afsted, og overordnet set havde vi en fin tur. Dog var der nogle ting, der trak ned: Maden levede desværre ikke op til forventningerne – den var ret dårlig, og det virkede som om, der blev sparet en del på kvaliteten. Derudover lukkede baren allerede omkring midnat, og hvis man ville have noget at drikke derefter, skulle man gå helt over i den anden ende af området. Alt andet fungerede fint, og vi kan ikke decideret klage over stedet, men det er nok ikke et sted, vi ville vælge igen.
Vi var tre kvinder afsted, og overordnet set havde vi en fin tur. Dog var der nogle ting, der trak ned: Maden levede desværre ikke op til forventningerne – den var ret dårlig, og det virkede som om, der blev sparet en del på kvaliteten. Derudover lukkede baren allerede omkring midnat, og hvis man ville have noget at drikke derefter, skulle man gå helt over i den anden ende af området. Alt andet fungerede fint, og vi kan ikke decideret klage over stedet, men det er nok ikke et sted, vi ville vælge igen.

There was a quiet pool at the far end of the resort which was always empty but perfect if you wanted to relax away from the crowds. Lots of cute baby cats around the resort too and one crazy dog (lol)
Had a lovely stay at Selectum Colours. It was a nice hotel which had good facilities and kept clean. It is slightly dated but arguably gives it character. We had a sea view with a balcony, room was kept clean and bed was comfortable. Loved having the flexibility of the 7/24 restaurant for late morning's and late nights. Buffet had variety and something different everyday. We only had the A la carte Italian restaurant for our last night and food was superb...our favourite meal of our whole stay. Owner of spa was lovely, very friendly and accommodating. We enjoyed the turkish bath, massages and clay masks....we ended up doing this twice during our stay. Changing facilities are dated but the hamam, sauna, treatment areas are well kept and very relaxing. Service is excellent and we would definitely recommend. There was entertainment on every evening...good effort to keep guests entertained. They had a good range of cocktails however in our experience, the lobby bar only made these well...unfortunately didnt enjoy these from the other bars as much. There are lots of steps so you can easily make up your 10,000 steps in a day, but be wary if travelling with elderly or those who need accessibility suport as quite a few steps and walking. Sehr schöne Lage, sauberer Pool und ein schönes Meer (anfangs steinig, dann Sand). Während der Hochsaison war das Hotel stark ausgelastet, was sich besonders beim Abendessen bemerkbar machte. Dennoch sehr gutes Essen mit ausreichend Auswahl. Insgesamt ein angenehmer Aufenthalt.

A great hotel in a lovely location. Staff were fantastic, everyone smiling and helpful. Clean rooms and beach area. Food in buffet was very good at breakfast but not many vege options for lunch and dinner. Italian a la carte was great and the 7/24 restaurant. We don’t usually go back to areas and hotels but we would really consider returning here.

Good food options every day, the 24/7 restaurant and snack bars also offer good options. The resort overall was really enjoyable, with a decently priced spa with friendly and experienced staff. However the rooms could be cleaned better, we found dusty floors on the day we arrived around the bedside tables. The pools (indoors and outdoors) are quite cold, should be warmer. Overall was an enjoyable stay.

Rooms need upgrading, Staff mixture of friendly and not so friendly. Basic English was an issue with alot of staff, not very attentive. Buffet selection was overwhelmingly good on the first day, but became repetitive for breakfast and lunch everyday. Dinner had a bit of variance but still 80% repetitive. Overall value for money was not on par with the nightly stay. All inclusive alcoholic drinks were mainly 'house' brands, branded alcohol was available from the lobby bar only but far to go everytime you wanted a drink. Pool area was good, beach area crowded with sun loungers, water slides only operational a few hours of the day. Open air amphitheatre was a nice touch. Entertainment was good. Kids club staff were fantastic, very engaging and entertaining for the kids with various activities.

We very much enjoyed our stay at Selectum Colours Bodrum. The resort was lovely, staff were great, food on offer at the buffet restaurant, A La Carte restaurants and snack options were fabulous and the facilities generally were great. There were a couple of things to note. One downside to our visit was the fact that although there were plenty of sun beds there was not much in the way of shade options on the beach (it was very busy when we were there) and so we were very disappointed that the hotel did nothing to stop people placing towels to reserve their sun beds on the beds that had shade from early morning without using them for hours. Because of the lack of shade on the beach, this was an issue which they need to address. The only other recommendation I would make is if you use hair conditioner bring your own, although the shoewer gel, shampoo and body lotion were fine, the conditioner was not.
