From the moment we drove onto the property we were in love. Beautiful and well manicured property. Quiet and serene. Walk into the house and the beauty continues. It was maculate, the woodwork was gorgeous, the pictures, witty sayings, all decor was well presented and appropriate. The hostess was very communicative with all needed information in advance. There are lots of games, lots of wood for campfires and materials to help get it started. A TV in every room though we had no interest in such. Amazing respite. Will be recommending to others and will most likely return in the future.

Amazing property and stay! We were in town for a wedding. It accommodated our group perfectly. Lots of space, well decorated, and comfortable. The property is picture perfect! Lots of room to park, walk around and explore. Great outdoor space for relaxing and enjoying the beauty. We even saw the northern lights one night! We highly recommend this place and will stay again when in the area.

We love the Wild Rose Cabin and really enjoy sitting around the fire pit for several hours each night! It's a beautiful, quiet and nature setting, with ample space to wander the property in the trees and on the trails. Going back again next summer!!

What a great getaway space. Living area is comfortable with lots of space for talking, playing games and eating together. Kitchen is very well equipped and you can cook and still be part of the group. Bedrooms are spacious and beds and bedding are great. Outdoors is just as well equipped for games, a walk or a campfire.

We really enjoyed our stay at this lovely property! The amenities exceeded our expectations from the views, the large, private property, the porch and fire pit. It was cozy & comfortable for our family of 5- we’re planning to book again next year! Perfect location, close drive to Decorah and other sites in the area.

We loved this property! The house was beautiful and clean. The outdoor area was awesome. We enjoyed the firepit and the blackstone grill! The pond was so much fun. Our grandchildren loved the ducks and we got to see a baby deer up close. Our hosts Kristine and her husband were great and responded to our questions right away and were so helpful. We would definately stay here again!!

Perfect cabin for our Friendsgiving! Great space to play board games, cook and talk. We really enjoyed walking the trail on the property and the birds! They were everywhere, we even saw a rare woodpecker.

Wild Rose Cabin and grounds are absolutely beautiful and serene! The furnishings were very nice and offered everything we needed. The cabin was clean, comfortable, and cozy. If you’re looking for a place to unwind, have fun, and enjoy life - Wild Rose is perfect! The owners are fabulous too!

Wild Rose was everything we needed while visiting NE Iowa. Great location between Decorah and West Union, we were able to enjoy the outdoors, as well as visit family in West Union. Lots of room for family to spread out, and the boys loved the under the stairs reading nook. My husband noted that it was the cleanest vacation rental we have stayed in. We would stay here again.

The cabin was great! It had everything you you need and want for a vacation stay. Plenty of room for inside and outside activities. It was a quiet and secluded location. If you’re looking for a nice little retreat, this is the place! Owners were very nice and had good communication on questions I had. 10/10 would stay again!

We had a great stay. It's a beautiful modern cabin, and the grounds are beautiful. We hit some unfortunate wet/hot/humid weather for our stay, but would definitely do it again!

Lots of room for family to spread out, and the boys loved the under the stairs reading nook. My husband noted that it was the cleanest vacation rental we have stayed in. We would stay here again.

We really enjoyed our stay at this lovely property! The amenities exceeded our expectations from the views, the large, private property, the porch and fire pit. It was cozy & comfortable for our family of 5- we’re planning to book again next year! Perfect location, close drive to Decorah and other sites in the area.

The cabin was beautiful and clean. Property was secluded, quiet and had nice walking trails. Loved sitting on the porch and enjoying the birds and frog songs. Easy and quick drive to a couple small towns if we needed anything. We plan on returning next year.

1/2 mile off highway, quiet and secluded , stayed 4 nights, the covered porch was our place when it rained and the fire pit when the weather permitted. Host were wonderful

Close to several towns but you still feel like you are in the middle of nowhere!! Enjoyed sitting out on the deck every morning enjoying my coffee. Was able to see wildlife, there’s many trails you are able to walk on. The only thing that would of made the stay absolutely perfect would be a hot tub 😉 The owners were very attentive and the cabin stocked better than most I’ve stayed at. We will definitely be back to stay again!!

The place is tucked away in a beautiful setting. It’s a bird sanctuary with orioles and hummingbirds galore. We alway enjoy our peaceful getaway from it all.

Wild Rose was everything we needed while visiting NE Iowa. Great location between Decorah and West Union, we were able to enjoy the outdoors, as well as visit family in West Union. Lots of room for family to spread out, and the boys loved the under the stairs reading nook. My husband noted that it was the cleanest vacation rental we have stayed in. We would stay here again.

The cabin was great! It had everything you you need and want for a vacation stay. Plenty of room for inside and outside activities. It was a quiet and secluded location. If you’re looking for a nice little retreat, this is the place! Owners were very nice and had good communication on questions I had. 10/10 would stay again!

We stayed here for our leadership team quarterly focus days. There were 7 of us, and all of us instantly said we would love to stay here again with family or friends for the weekend sometime. Campfire under the stars was awesome, plentiful wood provided. Secluded andvgreat place to view stars on a clear night. There were a few hiccups - we didn't communicate that we would need 7 separate places to sleep for eaxh of us and used the extra cabin space not knowing we weren't supposed to and one of us had to sleep on the couch. It also wasnt super clear that the upstairs bathroom in the loft isn't totally private so we really only had one bath for all 7 of us which wasnt ideal. We brought food to grill but the grill had a mouse in it and was rusted. We should have brought more cooking utensils and frying pans as we were eating food we brought most of the stay. Overall this is a lovely place to stay! We had specific needs that most wouldn't have and this place would be ideal for a quiet get away. Especially in the fall! Very close to Decorah for dinner or activities!!

What a great getaway space. Living area is comfortable with lots of space for talking, playing games and eating together. Kitchen is very well equipped and you can cook and still be part of the group. Bedrooms are spacious and beds and bedding are great. Outdoors is just as well equipped for games, a walk or a campfire.

We loved this property! The house was beautiful and clean. The outdoor area was awesome. We enjoyed the firepit and the blackstone grill! The pond was so much fun. Our grandchildren loved the ducks and we got to see a baby deer up close. Our hosts Kristine and her husband were great and responded to our questions right away and were so helpful. We would definately stay here again!!

Perfect cabin for our Friendsgiving! Great space to play board games, cook and talk. We really enjoyed walking the trail on the property and the birds! They were everywhere, we even saw a rare woodpecker.

This property had everything we wanted for a wonderful long weekend. I think it would work well for most family and friend groups. Clean, spacious, with attention to detail. Comfortable living space. We cooked all our meals and had everything we needed in the kitchen. The grounds were great for walks and just hanging out by the fire. Lots of wildlife to watch. We will come back and enjoy again.

The pictures do not do this place justice!! It was absolutely beautiful. The attention to detail to make sure your stay is perfect didn't go unnoticed. The communication and quick responses were appreciated. There are manicured trails all over the property, which was a definite bonus.....nature at its best. The entire property inside and out was spotless. All of the beds and bedding were very comfortable (for health reasons this was key for me), as well as the furniture. However, we spent most of our time outside playing cornhole, bbqing and sitting around the fire making smores. We enjoyed the geese and their 5 goslings who call your pond home, as well as the very friendly pregnant kitty. We were there for my sons graduation from Luther College and came from Northern California, Nevada and Washington so not knowing the area I was worried it might be a little bit of a trek to the school but it turned out to be perfectly fine. We all agreed if we lived closer, this would definitely be a place we'd stay again. I honestly would expect accommodations such as this to cost twice what we paid. Worth every penny. My review here may be a little long winded, but I wanted to make sure that you and anyone looking for a place to stay to know that we guinely loved it and appreciated all of the details both big and small. Thank you so very much for making our stay amazing! You all are wonderful hosts!

We enjoyed a great weekend of games by the fireplace and outdoor walks. Due to wind we were only able to build one outdoor fire but the fire ring is great. Lots of wood available. Enjoyed our time and have visited before and will be back.
