SCHLOSS Roxburghe, part of Destination by Hyatt

We’ve stayed at Roxburghe many times in the past but it’s not the same. Since sold to the schloss and Hyatt group it has lost its charm. We will not go back and we will cherish our memories of its past charm.

Hotel was spotless and generally spectacular. Major issue was not being able to get a lounger at the spa, and when mentioned to the spa staff very little was done to help (there were many loungers not being used, and proper policing would have made this more enjoyable for all) A handful of others had the same experience. Overall, the spa overpromised and under delivered for us, but stay was otherwise flawless

Excellent stay and facilities. The staff were all very welcoming and made us feel very much at at home.

Nice room (cottage rooms) good size, lounge with two bedrooms and en-suite, TV was a little confusing and the water pressure could have been better but overall very nice spot, good driving range / amenities on site and very close to Floors Castle The whiskey bar is well worth a visit, very knowledgeable staff!

When we arrived we were blown away with the setting of the hotel it has a very beautiful old woodland feel to it. Unfortunately the cottage that we had booked the tv did not work so we were promptly put into another one. We had originally booked a two bed cottage but were put into a one bed. The cottage was furnished really well but there was a layer of dust on most surfaces.The bed was firm but ok for us. The heating was very noisy and there were no instructions on how to use anything. We were given printed out pieces of paper on how to use the oven. The shower was quite cramped and leaked onto the floor. The terrace outside the cottage was nice but not at all private. I doubt that we will return here.
