The Hotel was decent enough but lists as parking available nearby for £4 a day. This is misleading as I enquired when I arrived. I was told to use on-street parking. The hotel is located in a restricted parking zone, pay and display parking is available on street but costs 80p for every 15 minutes with a 3 hour max stay. So that’s £9.60 for the 3 hours. Pay and display is in force from 8am to 6pm so if you’re arriving late and leaving early it’s fine. I was only there for one night so it wasn’t too bad but if you’re staying longer and need to park then you’re probably better off finding somewhere else. The place itself was very nice, clean, the staff were great and the breakfast was pretty good although the bed was a little hard for my liking. I would definitely stay here again, but only if I didn’t need to park.

Lovely hotel. Quite a few stairs to contend with but otherwise very nice. Good location very walkable to SECC or Ovo. Staff were nice. Breakfast was decent. Would use again

We stayed in the Guest House opposite the Hotel. Check in was a breeze and room was really easy to find, clean and welcoming with a big bathroom. Breakfast was served in the hotel and was probably one of the best breakfasts I’ve had in a hotel in Scotland. Overall a great stay, will go back again and have already recommend to others

There was free parking available by the street side from 6pm to 8 am, a couple of restaurants nearby. Our rooms were at the basement and stairs going down were a bit narrow and could be an issue for older people.

An older style guest house, opposite the affiliated Argyll Hotel (where you have to go to check in). Our room was quite a reasonable size and comfortable, although we had to go downstairs one level and then back upstairs again, so for people with limited mobility our room would not be a good choice. The check in was friendly and quick, the room was quite clean and the location is good, close to Kelvingrove Museum and Park, and with plenty of pubs and restaurants around. If coming by train it is a bit of a walk from Glasgow Central, otherwise about 20 minutes from Kelvinbridge Subway station.

Set in a prominent position, on Sauchiehall Street in Glasgow, this lovely guest house is a wonderful place. Part of the Argyll Hotel, we had to check in to the main hotel, across the road, before returning to the guest house. The room is small, but is perfectly sizeable to get your head down. Our room (room 1) had a double bed, body length mirror, a desk / dressing table, TV and two bedside tables. The desk had a kettle, two cups and teaspoons, and plenty of coffee, tea, sugar and milk available. There was also a hairdryer, although it was annoying to use because you have to keep your finger on the button for it to be on. The bathroom consisted of a sink with light-up mirror, toilet and a shower over a lovely bath. The shower had good pressure, and there was shower gel provided, mounted on the wall. Overall, it was a very pleasant stay, and I recommend Argyll Guest House highly.

The lift needs maintenance. The beds are atrocious. Every spring jabs into you all night long. Have they not changed the mattresses since turn of the century? Originally we were placed in a basement room that was hot, stuffy and claustrophobic, all for the price of $600 Canadian a night. The place was truly abominable, we had to move to another hotel after one night since we couldn’t stand how noisy and hot and unpleasant it was. Some mention the fabulous breakfast, the only thing that was palatable was the coffee and yoghurt with some frozen fruit on top, which they have a very limited supply and ran out fast. Save your cash, run far away and stay anywhere else, a park bench perhaps??

Room was lovely and clean. My only difficulty was with the bathroom. I found it a tight squeeze getting in & out the shower door. The toilet was also in a very tight space between the shower & the wall. I would stay again but i would request a room with a bigger bathroom.

Stayed there twice in two weeks for the location. Both times we did not receive the room we paid for. The full size mattress was extremely thin and old and we could feel the metal strips. Our room was apparently next to the bar and very loud one night. The showers in both rooms, though seemingly renovated already had black mold growing on them.

Clean and comfortable room. Decent shower. Small double bed for the single room I’m stayed in. Great location for city centre and exhibition centres (ovo arena, SECC). The guy on reception wasn’t the chattiest but he sound full of a cold and I was only staying one night so didn’t cause me any inconvenience. Would definitely recommend as a nice place to stay for a city break or stop over.

Twin room. Could be cleaner ( some dust) but overall very nice bathroom very clean and fresh. Breakfast was excellent lots of choice including healthy options. Cooked breakfast was nice and hot (covered buffet). Staff all friendly and helpful. Beds were a little hard for my taste but room was quiet and I slept well. I would stay here again without question.

Asked the hotel a few questions by email but they were not answered, requested room with a bath but got a shower. The room was comfortable, clean, had lots of tea and coffee, nowhere to hang the towels. Breakfast has a good selection, staff friendly.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Extremely comfy bed, and very clean. Was concerned it would be noisy with the hotel right on Sauchiehall Street but it wasn't. We had the perfect peaceful sleep. Meal in the hotel was vegan, something we hadn't experienced before but was delicious, highly recommend. The full scottish buffet breakfast was very tasty too. We were attending a concert at the bandstand, the hotel was just a few minutes walk away, perfect location. We will be back.

Stayed many times both hotel and house,room on this visit small,unable to turn heating down due too control being loose ? Not checked by staff ? Restaurant staff not letting us sit in area saying he was closing off ! Few minutes later more people being allowed to sit there ? Room 7 ArgyleHouse.

Absolutely unbelievably appalling check inn! Nobody was present at the reception and the guests started queuing to check inn. Tried phoning the hotel with no luck. There was several of the guests - us included - who had other arrangements to attend. After 15-20 minutes the receptionist came back seemingly surprised at the que. She’d been out to buy food so it seemed. The manager should at least have provided a cellphone so she could have been reached. Apart from that the room and breakfast was fine. Okay value for the price I suppose.

There was several of the guests - us included - who had other arrangements to attend. After 15-20 minutes the receptionist came back seemingly surprised at the que. She’d been out to buy food so it seemed. The manager should at least have provided a cellphone so she could have been reached. Apart from that the room and breakfast was fine. Okay value for the price I suppose.

I was disappointed at the service on check in/check out. Minimal conversation and poor customer service from the individual checking us in and out. Very disappointed when booking a double room to be given a small double bed. Staff should explain better where to locate your room. I would like to see a more personable, friendly and welcoming experience, with more transparency and clarity on what you are being provided.

parking is an issue but the staff was very friendly and helpful, the breakfast was excellent as well - the rooms were very comfortable - i would recommend to stay here and plan to do so if i am ever in Glasgow

Clean and comfortable room. Decent shower. Small double bed for the single room I’m stayed in. Great location for city centre and exhibition centres (ovo arena, SECC). The guy on reception wasn’t the chattiest but he sound full of a cold and I was only staying one night so didn’t cause me any inconvenience. Would definitely recommend as a nice place to stay for a city break or stop over.

An older style guest house, opposite the affiliated Argyll Hotel (where you have to go to check in). Our room was quite a reasonable size and comfortable, although we had to go downstairs one level and then back upstairs again, so for people with limited mobility our room would not be a good choice. The check in was friendly and quick, the room was quite clean and the location is good, close to Kelvingrove Museum and Park, and with plenty of pubs and restaurants around. If coming by train it is a bit of a walk from Glasgow Central, otherwise about 20 minutes from Kelvinbridge Subway station.

I travelled alone. My room in the guest house was tiny but very cozy and extremely clean. I paid just 5 pounds for my breakfast and it was good. The location is excellent, close to attractions. Also there are plenty of cafes, restaurants and bars near the hotel.

Set in a prominent position, on Sauchiehall Street in Glasgow, this lovely guest house is a wonderful place. Part of the Argyll Hotel, we had to check in to the main hotel, across the road, before returning to the guest house. The room is small, but is perfectly sizeable to get your head down. Our room (room 1) had a double bed, body length mirror, a desk / dressing table, TV and two bedside tables. The desk had a kettle, two cups and teaspoons, and plenty of coffee, tea, sugar and milk available. There was also a hairdryer, although it was annoying to use because you have to keep your finger on the button for it to be on. The bathroom consisted of a sink with light-up mirror, toilet and a shower over a lovely bath. The shower had good pressure, and there was shower gel provided, mounted on the wall. Overall, it was a very pleasant stay, and I recommend Argyll Guest House highly.

We stayed in the Guest House opposite the Hotel. Check in was a breeze and room was really easy to find, clean and welcoming with a big bathroom. Breakfast was served in the hotel and was probably one of the best breakfasts I’ve had in a hotel in Scotland. Overall a great stay, will go back again and have already recommend to others

Twin room. Could be cleaner ( some dust) but overall very nice bathroom very clean and fresh. Breakfast was excellent lots of choice including healthy options. Cooked breakfast was nice and hot (covered buffet). Staff all friendly and helpful. Beds were a little hard for my taste but room was quiet and I slept well. I would stay here again without question.

The lift needs maintenance. The beds are atrocious. Every spring jabs into you all night long. Have they not changed the mattresses since turn of the century? Originally we were placed in a basement room that was hot, stuffy and claustrophobic, all for the price of $600 Canadian a night. The place was truly abominable, we had to move to another hotel after one night since we couldn’t stand how noisy and hot and unpleasant it was. Some mention the fabulous breakfast, the only thing that was palatable was the coffee and yoghurt with some frozen fruit on top, which they have a very limited supply and ran out fast. Save your cash, run far away and stay anywhere else, a park bench perhaps??

I’d paid for the room and breakfast up front but was asked for a card for my booking. I had Apple Pay/cash but this wasn’t suitable and they needed a physical card which I didn’t have with me. I thought at one point I’d not get my room but thankfully my cash only brother had a bank card with him. The TV in the room was a great size but glitched every 2 minutes which made watching anything difficult. Bath panel crudely repaired with masking tape. Loved the charger point in the bedside lamps Room lovely and quiet Bed comfortable Breakfast was very good Super convenient for concerts Free outside parking on a Sunday
