Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Dayton-Centerville by IHG

Bummed the pool was not open. Whole reason we got the room for the night was to take our kids swimming.

The only thing that wasn't good was the fact the elevator was broken. I was suprised there was only one, and there were no first floor rooms available.

Nice facility

The pool at the hotel was closed which is a major bummer when you have littles that are excited to swim. Our bathroom would flooded completely during every shower and ran out into the main room due to the flooors not angeling correctly into the drains.

First, we arrived at the hotel and there was a big sign. By the pool that said caution pool closed. Specifically chosis hotel for the indoor pool. On check in.I requested a late checkout time; 1230 pm. The front desk clerk said no problem. At 8am there was one knock on the door followed by housekeeping, walking into the room while we were laying in bed sleeping. The third issue I had involved the towels in the bathroom. Took a great shower. Plenty of hot waterThe rain shower head was nice, the products that were available were. fantastic. No bath mat in the bathroom. I stepped out of the shower onto a hand towel and grabbed a folded towel off the rack. I opened it to start drying off and it was filthy. It looked like somebody had been working on a car and wipe their hands off on the bath towel. That made me immediately question how clean the rest of the towels were the sanitation of the room, and if the bed linen was clean. Also, sockets eere not working and no blankets were provided in the closet. Satellite tv was terrible, and the vhannels did not match the card provided in the room. The remote worked half the time. You would think smart TVs would be available so you could log into your own movie accounts. I have stayed at this hotel previously without any complaints. Definitely disappointed with this stay. Management offered to put points on my IHG account, but did not offer an adjustment in price. I still haven't received my $50 incidental deposit back either.

Hotel was very nice! Pool was on the smaller end but was clean and my toddler enjoyed it! Breakfast was very good both mornings! We had to stay in town due to an appt at Cincinatti children's and it was a convenient location!

Conveniently located. Only 2 entrances and exits for the entire building.

Staff very courteous. Room very clean, some cosmetic painting needs to be done and the tv remote didn't work properly. Elevator filthy. Breakfast was nice and coffee was hot and appreciated. We would stay here again, close to our family.

I found a cockroach on my wall the last night of my stay. Needless to say - I don’t recommend this hotel based on that alone. I’ve traveled a lot and have never encountered a literal roach being in my hotel room before. The place is also just kinda dirty/old/not well minted? The carpeting is gross, and there’s all sorts of little bits of paint missing, marks on the walls, curtains that don’t close completely, etc. The only real positive is that the staff were all nice and very professional.

Need to improve on room cleanliness, mold in tub, soap scum in tub, shower head full if lime deposits. When we got there they hadn't emptied some of the trash cans in the room and main mirror on cliset looked like someone had spit on it and had run down the mirrior it was about 3 foot long. Over all bad but starting to look very dated.

Arrived late at night for check in the room AC wasnt on even though it’s summer and the thermostat in the room was 80 degrees. The room smelled like wet dog and dirty feet, the carpet was damp. Took hours for the room to cool down once we turned the AC on couldn’t sleep with how hot and smelly the room was.

My room had cockroaches, my wife called reception asking for help because I was not at the property and she was not given any assistance. In addition, our room was not cleaned even once. I was very disappointed with the treatment given to us on this visit. I have video to show the cockraches in the room.

If I was to guess if I looked under the rug in the rooms it would be a mold fest. The carpet felt damp and the rooms smelled like wet dog. I woke up with red watery eyes and very congested The staff were very friendly and breakfast was good.

Very clean throughout the facility. Spacious room with 2 queen beds and large bathroom. The breakfast was outsstanding--great selection and very tasty. Would highly recommend.

The staff was pleasant and accommodating; we heard people walking in the room above us comparing the experience to apartment living. I made this comment in response to a staff inquiry. They offered to move us to the top floor, which we accepted. All in all our stay was perfect and I would recommend Holiday Inn Express.

Very friendly front desk staff. The heating cooling system needs to be updated, as do the tv remotes.

Visiting Air Force Museum and family; Hotel had issues with Wifi all weekend, as well as our HVAC unit was awful. It was either on 60 degrees or not working. Body wash in the shower wasn't working, and we asked twice for it to be fixed, however never was. Used the Shampoo instead. Room was clean and quiet. For $200 + a night, should have liked to have working AC and decent body wash in shower.

We booked 2 queen beds and when we arrived at 1:30 am, we were told that another guest had decided to extend their visit and we could “either take a room with a king bed and a “couch bed” or you could go to another hotel”. We took the room (for 4 people) only to find out that it wasn't a pull out couch, it was a hard small couch. We had 3 people in the bed and one on the couch. It was incredibly uncomfortable and a terrible night. In the morning after explaining the situation to the manager, we were told that they would be refunding our room. We are waiting on that to happen. The staff in the morning was very understanding and kind to our situation. Other than that situation, the hotel was very nice and breakfast was great.

The hotel was okay and the front desk staff was friendly but it was possibly the most uncomfortable bed I have ever slept in.Very hard and I woke up several times in the night lteraly in pain.

The heater in our room was very loud when the heat was on which made it difficult to sleep.

Room 205 - The bed was hard. The toilet seat was broken, as was the phone in the room.

The room ac unit was operating but the thermostat was set at 74 but cooling at 56 degrees. Had to turn on the heat to get it to stop. Ended up just turning the unit off.

Stayed at same hotel 13 days earlier and gave it a great rating … unfortunately on our way home we had a room that needs some repair (grout, baseboards in washroom, etc). When we entered the room, the temperature was only 50 degrees and it took over two hours to warm up.

Hotel was beautifully appointed and very clean. However, the bed was very uncomfortable (sagged and had poor support) and the thermostat in the room would not adjust below 70°. We normally set our temp at home to 66° at night and with the only blankets in the room being down alternatives, it was very difficult to get any sleep.

We came back to find that our room had not been cleaned. The clerk told us that all 5 of the cleaning crew had quit. They did not know whether there would be cleaning anytime during our 5 day stay. We checked out.

Very helpful staff, nice room and facility- excellent breakfast

The AC in the room was not working great and the staff was GREAT helping us out. They cheerfully moved us to a different room with no issue and genuinely seemed to care how our stay was. Breakfast was also very nice, lots of choices including some healthy ones was nice. Morning run in adjacent neighborhood was delightful- Would come back here anytime.

Front desk reception person could have been a little more welcoming or friendly/felt like we were disturbing her by having to check us in. The girl the next day was very warm and friendly as we were leaving, so perhaps the first girl was just having a bad day.

I have stayed hereà in the past because it's near my old haunts when I lived here. I now need a walker to get around and asked if I could have an accessible bathroom. I was told I would have to arrange that through Expedia. Later, I complained that a number of things didn't work - the TV kept losing the signal, the back door to and from the parking lot didn't work, the shower sprayed out ÿŭand the soap dispenser barely gave one enough soap - minor things, but after walking around the building with my walker to get in the hotel because she put me on hold, The toilet was low to the ground - all toilets should be tall. Anyway, I couldn't wait to leave and I won't be back. The girl at the desk how my stay was and I told her. She then said I would have to tell Expedia, so I am!

The staff was incredibly friendly and the rooms were clean. The hotel was much nicer than I expected.

The hotel was quiet and convenient for shopping and food options and was in an area that was close to other attractions. Check-in was easy and the hotel clerk was very nice.

Good location

Hotel was very nice! Pool was on the smaller end but was clean and my toddler enjoyed it! Breakfast was very good both mornings! We had to stay in town due to an appt at Cincinatti children's and it was a convenient location!

Our stay at this Holiday Inn was great. Easy access to shopping, dining, and the staff was friendly and helpful when our plans had to change. I would stay at this Holiday Inn Dayton-Centerville again. Thank You
