Typical motel. Stay one night and move no amenities The biggest problem was no lounging or public spaces. The “ breakfast nook” was minimal. Just coffee and some muffins to heat up. No place to sit and eat. We did not consider the outdoor couches as breakfast places.

The location is the best. Lots of parking and in a walkable area with all the options. Food, shopping, views, etc. The patio is great with great views.

The staff was very nice and helpful. The location is excellent. Parking is plentiful and easy. The hotel could use a makeover, it’s a little tired. The 2nd floor deck could use more seating and tables. The front lawn could use some Adirondack chairs so you can sit and enjoy the ocean view. The motel portion of the property off the back of the hotel is basic. Our room had a stale musty smell. The bathroom was large, but needs some finishing touches and more lighting and counter top space. The partial-ocean view would be better if cars were not permitted to park adjacent to the sitting area outside the rooms. Given the room rate, I expect more amenities and more than a very basic room. There isn’t really much of a breakfast, so I would stop advertising the room as breakfast included. But you can’t beat the location in Narragansett.

Fantastic view of the Atlantic from our room. The only downside is that there are only stairs to reach the upper floors. But it is within walking distance of several shops, restaurants, and the beach.

My room was supposed to be ocean view and I was put on the first floor and told “you can see the ocean from the bed” but I was on the first floor with window right into the parking lot and walking entrance to front desk. I couldn’t even leave the shades open or everyone outside was full view into my room. It wasn’t that clean, hair was in the bathroom from previous occupants. Paint all over the towel bars and doorknobs. Told it was a 3 minute walk to the beach, it’s more like 15 so we drove our stuff and then someone had to take the car back to hotel & walk back. Upper deck was nice but tables are all rusted and falling apart. It was doable as we were at the beach most of the time but definitely leaves something to be desired.

It is a great location. Parking is perfect. Rooms with ocean view have a sitting area that is all windows; no blockage, and small balcony on which to sit and oggle the ocean. Walk to food (at least five different types of choices in a few different directions,) beach, shops, ice cream.

The staff were great. the 2nd floor balcony was nice, just needs a few umbrellas. The breakfast needs to be a bit more for the price of the room. maybe some fruit or yogurt, more bread options. Missed a pool also.

From the outside l, this property looks very nice. However upon entering the building, it looks very different. Our room was dirty, had mold in the heating vents, patched up holes in the walls and a smell that was so disgusting that even opening the windows didn’t help. The location is great, very walkable to restaurants and the sea wall.

the shower curtain smelled sour, as if it hadn't been cleaned or replaced in many weeks. there were unidentified stains and smears on the bathroom walls and baseboards. dirty towels from previous guests were left in our room. the mattress was lumpy and slanted. the microwave and coffee pot were plugged into an extension cord dangling over the top of the hutch they were on, as if the hotel did not want to provide for adequate wall plugs for those appliances.

There seemed to be a lot of dirt/dust on the walls and elsewhere throughout the room for this “off season” price. The amenities are very simple, but fine. The milk for coffee was four days expired and just bagels or cereal available. View was great. Would stay again, just wish that it were cleaner.

Room was clean (I could smell the very strong disinfectant) but in very used/worn condition. I could not tell if the bedspread had been washed and the fitted sheet was too small for the bed and kept coming off. Lighting was poor (two bedside lamps and no lighting at entry door or closet. Bathroom was clean but very bare bones and paint on walls was cracked/peeling. Our room faced the parking lot on the first floor so if the window was open we heard people passing all evening long. Front desk check in was delightful and very helpful but when we called after checkout regarding an item we forgot, we had to phone twice to get a response. The location is great.

The location was perfect and the grounds were beautiful. However, the building is very out of date and needs significant updating. The floors are crooked, the furniture doesn't match, the walls are nicked and dented. Also, the walls are paper thin. You can hear every single conversation of people walking in the halls.

The Atlantic House was located in a great spot in Narragansett. it was clean, however: we were on the 1st floor and the patio door lock was broken; the walls were PAPER thin & we could hear the conversation in the next room; & the description said it included a continental style breakfast...if you call bagels and cheerios breakfast. No coffee made; I had to ask. Too expensive for what was received. Won't book here again.

We wanted a property that had a fabulous view and would enable us to walk to dinner at Coast Guard House. The Atlantic House checked both boxes. We arrived early, tired from travel, and were able to check in early (for a $35 fee). Ivan was great carrying my wife’s incredibly large and heavy suitcase up an imposing flight to our second floor room (we were aware there was no elevator). Our room (201) was facing the ocean with a small deck on the side and an ample sitting area. The furnishings are very tired, the fitted sheet kept coming off the king bed ( which, truth be told was not uncomfortable). The bathroom oddly had the sink in the sleeping space but the shower, while as tired and in need of the same refresh as the room, had great pressure. The common deck was also a nice feature with tables and chairs (no umbrellas so the full day sun was a bit toasty). Coffee and a VERY modest “breakfast” offerings were terrible. All in all, the two major points were met but having arrived there after a spectacular few days at The Inn at Stonington it was overall a disappointment. Nice folks, very tired property. ( and as an aside, more costly than Inn at Stonington for a room 1/2 the size and much older and craggy though we were aware of the cost when we made our choice, just not the incredible disparity)

Good location, partial view of ocean. Ivan at check in wonderful. Room run down. Had 1 interaction with lady on phone. Debbie maybe? Extremely rude and condescending. Floor in bedroom very uneven, tripping hazard. When I spoke to blonde lady at desk re this she was very confrontational, denied seeing problem in room, walked out in a huff. Will never stay there again

My husband and I had a good experience for a one night stay in this friendly little hotel. We had never been to this area before, and it seems that all the hotels are independently owned. We were happy to not stay in one of the cookie-cutter chains. Located on the water, we took a nice walk along the sea wall. The staff was super friendly and recommended a great restaurant. We had everything we needed. Recommended

I have stayed at this hotel many times in the past and was always treated very well by the staff. This time, when I went to the front desk to check in, I explained to Debbie the receptionist that the last couple of times I stayed there, there was a lot of noise in the parking lot at 3 AM and 4 AM...so I requested a room not adjacent to that parking lot. So she puts me in a room right overlooking the loud parking lot, exactly where I asked not to be. Then she tells me she has to charge me an extra fee to move me to any other room in the hotel. When I objected to that, she then told me I could just leave and stay somewhere else. In short, Debbie was the rudest most belligerent receptionist I've ever encountered at a hotel, and I've traveled frequently on business for the past 30 years. Honestly, She seemed like she was just looking forward to the opportunity to mess with someone.

Our son’s rugby team had a match against Salve and everything in Newport was ridiculous. We were checked in early, given restaurant recommendations and a map. This gave us down time to walk around before heading out for the match. The staff contacted us after our stay because we forgot something and helped us with the return. I stayed at the Marriott in Phoenix and left suit pants in the closet, never saw them again. Excellent service here!

Ivan at the front desk was very helpful with local suggestions. They also had a list which worked great. We walked to 3 local restaurants (a few blocks of flat walking) and the ocean was beautiful. Beds were comfy and coffee ready at 7am.

Late check in was not a problem. Staff was extremely friendly when we arrived and even gave us some helpful travel tips for the area. The Breakfast Corner was nice in the morning with bagels and juice. The room was clean and had all the amenities we could have wanted (and they all worked). AC/Heat was easily adjustable to comfort. Room was clean. Bed was comfortable. View of the ocean was amazing. We would stay here again.

Fantastic view of the Atlantic from our room. The only downside is that there are only stairs to reach the upper floors. But it is within walking distance of several shops, restaurants, and the beach.

Typical motel. Stay one night and move no amenities The biggest problem was no lounging or public spaces. The “ breakfast nook” was minimal. Just coffee and some muffins to heat up. No place to sit and eat. We did not consider the outdoor couches as breakfast places.

The location of the hotel is perfect. The rooms were basic, but clean and comfortable. The breakfast was very basic - for one or 2 nights ok but store bagels and cheerios is it. We were there for 5 days so we went out a couple of times

Everything was great except the take & go breakfast. The coffee pot was just hot water & when I went to toast a bagel I noticed they were moldy… even the unopened new pack. Our room was spacious & very clean & the location was perfect. A very friendly & helpful staff.

We stayed for 3 nights. It is very clean and convenient to the beaches and restaurants. There is parking on the side so you don’t have to deal with on the street parking. It would have been good if rooms came equipped with safes. Also breakfast was very basic and the same every morning: coffee and bagels, cereal (Cheerios or fruit loops) maybe include some bananas, apples and yogurts in the future. People at the front desk were very nice. We will definitely stay again.

I enjoyed our stay. I loved the balcony, room and location of this waterfront hotel. However, the outside furniture should be updated as it was clearly rusty and the continental breakfast could use an upgrade. Market Basket bagels and fruit loops was disappointing.

Absolutely deplorable condition. Rooms were nasty, mold/mildew everywhere. All the white surfaces were gray/brown. Towels dirty. Stains on furniture and floors, floors which sagged by the way. . Save your money and health, stay literally anywhere else.

The room has a small balcony with a stunning view of the ocean. There is a nice sitting area in addition to the area for sleeping. There is a larger mini fridge which is helpful. The bathroom is very old and needs updating. The pillows and bedding are very mediocre. One of our beds was missing a top sheet. The price is high for the quality of the room but you are paying for the wonderful location and stunning view.
