Hampton Inn & Suites Austin - Lakeway

No hot water, at all. I would have been ok if they had been honest, and told us there was a maintenance issue, and they were working on it. They just kept telling us to try again in 10 min, that it would be on, or move us to another room. That didn't make sense? If you don't have hot water in one room, how do you get it in another room? Horrible customer service by Management!!!

They were remodeling and it was dirty. The dirt was not new but also caked in corners of elevator and near ice machine. We arrived at about 330pm to rest and shower before a party. We had no water at all until about 2 am. We had to sponge bath with bottles water and the toilets were not flushed. They could have taken buckets of water from the pool to at least flush the public bathroom. It was gross. We were told when we checked it it would be 40 minutes over and over. I know the water being shut off by the city was not their problem but we were too exhausted to go anywhere else as it was late and we had.a long day and then a long drive to ge there.

They were working on the hotel and we didn’t have water power and the alarms kept going off. Did not know they were remodeling.

When we arrived, the elevator was broken and someone was stuck on it. For the two of us, we got one decent towel so I requested new ones and they gave us the kind you step on to get out of the shower, which definitely did not suffice. Also, the tables in the breakfast area were sticky.

The property was nice but really needs to be updated. The fitness room was shut down and apparently being renovated or equipment being replaced. The business center was closed down as well. I don't know if the hotel is beginning renovations in these areas or if there were other reasons for them being unavailable to guests. No explanation was offered. This hotel is located on a busy road and can be difficult trying to enter or exit from the driveway. It was however near restaurants and shopping.

Poorly equipped-no pen or paper. No area guides. There was only one small bar of soap and no cups in bathroom Side door was out of service and appeared to have been so for a while. The business center was apparently permanently closed. Food was okay but not great. I have stayed there periodically over several years but will be looking for other accommodations.

Brought my family in for a funeral on Sunday. Pool was broken and there was no notification given to us to help prepare for this as we had kids to help distract them. Closet door latch was broken and wouldn’t stay attached to the closet door. This was really bad as we were worried the kids would run or walk into it.

PLUSES: We enjoyed the view of grassland and woods out our room window. Housekeeping did a nice job and the breakfast area was well maintained and fresh. MINUSES: No hot water. I went to the front desk to get it fixed or get moved to a different room. They said they could move us, but the maintenance guy standing there said to just let the water run for TEN MINUTES!! That seemed ridiculous, but we did it and we did eventually get hot water. What a waste though! How far away are the water heaters from the rooms?!?! A 2" wide strip of bathroom floor tile was missing in front of the shower and the seams at the shower front looked rusty and corroded. The window heater/ac only put out cold air, no matter what temperature we set it at. The weather was warm our first day but it got much colder over the Christmas weekend!

Both business center and fitness center were not available to patrons

The hotel was having construction done so a lot of parking space where taken up with materials and a trash container. Yet the hotel was pretty full which made parking didficult

Staff great. On first glance, Decent enough, but the comforter smelled like sweat- disgusting. The carpet hasn’t been shampooed in way too long. For 200.00 everyone should expect and demand CLEAN. Basic hospitality.

Where do I start? This hotel proceeded to put us in one room where the hallway was not even finished wall. It was sheetrock! Carpets were filthy and all splatted with paint. You can see from the photos. The room was a complete mess! Extremely dirty with construction dust! The television set was hanging sideways! Windows were so dirty, you couldn’t even see through. The sheets had these horrible stains. After complaining to the front desk, they moved us to the 3rd floor. About breakfast. They ran out of eggs, and they were not replenished for a very long time, that by then, we just made toast and that was it for the “breakfast included). Someone needs to make sure these properties are up to standard so when we book them, we don’t have this kind of disappointment.

Overall, it was a nice hotel room. There did look to be some mold on the top of the shower curtain. Beds were comfortable.

This hotel is under remodeling which was not stated anywhere on the website. The cleaning products used are almost caustic. I felt dizzy after 10 minutes of being in the room. I had to switch rooms and the second room, I had to leave the door open to air it out. There were roaches in the room. The Hotels.com site said the pet fee was 50$ and when I arrived, they said it was 75$. Elevator was too say the least, sketchy. Door barely closed and slammed shut and open before ascending. I took the stairs. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Thank god this was a one night only stay.

Property is nice but worn. The room was clean, but the mattress wasn’t exactly comfortable I do not recommend staying here.

There are several dining options nearby. The staff was helpful. One thing I noticed is that the property conditions have deteriorated in the last two years. There was a lot of wear and tear on the furniture, the bath towels were rough, and the bathroom needed more cleaning. There was a group of families at the hotel this weekend, which is fine except that the noise level was beyond loud. There were several young girls running around the second floor, playing in the elevators. Again, they are kids so it's fine, except there was no adult supervision. This is problematic because someone could get hurt. My mother is elderly and with all the running around, they could have caused an accident.

1st. The air conditioner was not strong enough. It was always too warm. We would lower it, but it was not enough because in a while it would get hot again. it would turn off too soon. 2nd. The shower was extremely hot and it was difficult to adjust it to get cold water again. we were not able to get a good and comfortable shower. We did complaint to the receptionist, but the next morning it was the same. Nothing was done to correct the problem. 3rd . The breakfast menu needs to be improved. For example, the scrambled eggs needed some sides like onions, tomatoes, or some type of salsa. The omelettes were tasteless, some other ingredients besides cheese would have been better tasting. Vegetable sides would have been good. The boiled eggs could have been peeled. The coffee was very good. Sorry about this complaint, but we feel we had to say something.

We have stayed here before and it was phenomenal. This time not so much. The jacuzzi tub was fabulous! However, the bed was so uncomfortable that my husband and I couldn’t sleep at all and the pillows had zero support. We actually went to a nearby retail store our second day to get an egg crate pad for the bed and new pillows in order to get some rest. If the bed weren’t enough of an issue, the microwave wouldn’t work as it turned off after a minute and was down for five. We also had a family above us that allowed their child to literally run up and down the room from 8 at night until almost midnight and started again at six in the morning until we left at 10 that morning. I have never been more disappointed. If we stay here again we might consider a different room. The reason for the at least three stars was our check-in person, Roxy was wonderful and gave us some great customer service!

Bed was awful. Very good equipment in gym so thanks. Breakfast was weak.

Hvac outside was very Noisy.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. We had some extra personal property to retrieve and ship home. The staff was very helpful with carts door access and friendly, helpful demeanor. We can stay anywhere in Lakeway. But choosing a place where we know we are welcome is paramount :)

The staff and property at the Hampton Lakeway made my stay there an absolutely awesome experience. I will definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a place to stay in Austin Texas.

We've booked at Hampton InnSuiteAustinLakeway since 2/29/24 for1 night on5/25/24 when we arrived at the hotel the guy at the front desk said they couldn't find our itinerary number,I showed my# at the Expedia website and the email from hotel sent to me 1 day before to check in online and asked him to explain it so I could understand, he texted back and forth to his boss for a while and then said sorry it was last time I gave a bad review to them then they cancel my reservation?this is my first time in Austin and booked a hotel with them, they can't do that with the client because that reason?I wish I could record our entire conversation as evidence,I think the hotel has cameras that record video. because they felt that we were Asian people who didn't understand much English so they could say whatever they wanted and treat us like that. They wanted us to leave in the middle of the night without a satisfactory solution other than saying sorry we were full and the surrounding hotels were also full, if I was not satisfied with their solution, either I contact Expedia or call the police!!! We were tired, hungry, and angry, and we couldn't find Expedia's customer service number It was a terrible evening to start our visit to Austin. After spending 1 hour contacting Expedia we got the room at Moutain Star 5 minutes away, we had to endure and go through a period of pressure and fatigue!!! it's so sad because we don't know whose fault it is and why what happened to us,our trip unhappy

The hotel was a little dated , but very clean. The staff was very courteous. Taryn was an excellent host. She informed us of the benefits of the Hilton Honors program and provided a lot of helpful suggestions for things to do!

Not much hotel for the price. I’ve stayed in far better hotels for $250/night. Beds could definitely be more comfortable. Sheets & towels were low quality. Breakfast was unimpressive. Staff was friendly & helpful. The two ladies that checked us in were great. Even the housekeepers that I passed in the halls were friendly. By nature, I speak to almost everyone so that was a great asset to this hotel. Don’t change that. Your team makes all the difference

Beautiful area with everything you need close by.

Great place to stay and great area.

This is a low profile location. The price is good. It is quiet and there are places to park. The only reason I gave it 4 stars is that the hallway was freezing cold, the bathroom shower was older and there was no shower cap. Even so, we will come back there.

Nothing special. Rooms were clean and service was good. Nice breakfast buffet as well. Convenient to where we were visiting as well
