The room was a good size and cleaned daily, with the cleaning staff doing an ok job. However, the property itself felt quite run down and there were several things that needed attention. Some areas were missed during cleaning, including a significant amount of dust on the bedroom ceiling fan. The oven and cooktop were also extremely dirty and unpleasant to use. The air conditioner looked as though it had not been cleaned or serviced in years and was visibly dusty and dirty. I chose not to use it, although I returned to the room one day to find the cleaners had turned it on. I immediately switched it off. A couple of days later I came down with a cold. I certainly can't say the air conditioner caused it, but the timing was unfortunate, particularly as I haven't had a cold in years. There were also several smaller maintenance issues around the property. The brick fence at the front appeared to have been damaged by a vehicle and hadn't been repaired, and there were holes in the hallway walls that needed patching. Individually these are minor issues, but together they made the property feel less well maintained. I'm not normally one to complain or leave a negative review, especially as the staff were extremely friendly and welcoming. However, I do think some investment in the general upkeep and maintenance of the property would make a significant difference. The accommodation itself has potential, but the property needs some attention.

Upon arrival, Pauline at reception was a sweetheart and made a personally difficult trip much easier. Very kind and helpful. We had a 2-bedroom, 2 bathroom suite which was very large and very comfortable. The room was clean and stocked with some tea, coffee, sugar, salt and pepper. The full kitchen is perfect for long term stays. The only issue are the showers. Very odd design, one had no door at all and water would end up all over the floors. They should upgrade them immediately. Besides that, the location is very convenient to the hospital, shops, freeways. Would recommend and we would return to this location.
